I can count on one hand, how many vets I’ve encountered over the years that truly are exceptional AND care beyond measure for their patients. Dr. Rafala tops the list. He was our vet for my German shepherd Rockie before he passed away and he takes care of my sweet girl Luna now. He’s thorough without charging for ridiculous or unnecessary things. I can’t sing his praises enough and would recommend him to anyone looking for a genuine, kind vet who cares for your fur babies as much as you do, stop by and check them out. Love them!!!

Dr. Rafla is not only great with my dog Kahlua and speaks through every evaluation he performs, but is also always available for a phone call, even off the clock, for anything. I’ve called twice about a sick dog and Dr. R gave me a specific recipe with measurements for Kahlua’s weight to settle the stomach- and it worked great. The 2 minute phone calls saved me a visit and the money I would’ve spent. The staff of vet techs and Robin at the front desk are so gentle and caring to Kahlua, even when she gets a bit too excited. The waiting area is on the smaller side, especially with multiple dogs at the same time, but I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The large treats at the front desk are a nice touch too. My final compliment to Vine is the way they took a critique and improved: during my first visit I couldn’t help but notice the smell of cigarette smoke in the waiting area, and it wasn’t atrocious, but enough to make me think twice. I mentioned it in a post-appt review, and ever since, the whole place is much more aromatic. I’m not even sure if the improvement is connected to the critique, but it’s appreciated nonetheless.

Dr. Rafla is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, and thorough, and he goes out of his way to be helpful and provide excellent service. I trust Dr. Rafla over anyone else, which means a lot. He gives the best advice I've ever seen in a vet. Everything about his practice is all I'd want it to be. Clean, organized, accurate, no waiting, easy to get an appointment, calm and loving environment, and you get to be with your dog during checkups (instead of stuck in a waiting room without them). Everyone on staff is caring, knowledgeable, helpful, and beloved by our fur babies. Our pets feel more comfortable at this vet than our previous vets. The cats and dog enjoy their private exam room where they can explore and sniff. Our 18-year-old cat jumps high up to Dr. Rafla's exam room desk to sit next to him while he's talking to me. Dr. Rafla is very proactive with early detection, prevention, and care. He calls to ask how your pet is doing after any meds or procedures are given. Our pets are now much healthier after having him as a vet. Vine Animal Hospital has a great app where I can keep track of all our pets and their appointments with a cute picture and all their stats available. They send emails each holiday as a heads-up for how to keep your pets safe sponsored by Dr. Rafla's sweet new grand dog, Hazel. Vine also sends email reminders and follow-up phone calls for wellness exams, vaccines, preventive heartworm, flea and tic medication, and more. Dr. Rafla provides in-depth life-extending information during our pets' wellness exams through full blood analysis profiles. Dr. Rafla has the knowledge and ability to do everything possible to give our pets a long, healthy, quality life. Making the change to Vine Animal Hospital has kept our household running smoothly, and our fur babies healthy and happy. Dr. Rafla doesn't just see pets medically. He's also very grounding and emotionally supportive because he sees and gets you as a person. He's truthful, realistic, and dependable. He cares deeply about pets and their people. Dr. Rafla & his staff have always been super knowledgeable, helpful, & accommodating to me & my 2 greyhounds. He has helped us navigate through regular checkups to one with digestive issues & even one that needed surgery due to a running injury. They are very kind to the animals, and my dogs are always happy to be seen there.
