My family and I have been coming here since I was a child. I have had four dogs with Villa Park animal clinic. Heads up - They changed hands to a new owner. We had an appointment and they walked us through what the treatment would be. They told us That they were going to switch my dogs allergy medication to something else that could help him. It was great that they understood what the issue was and offered a solution to change him to a new medication that should help him. Then when it came time to check out, they told us that they gave him the previous medication again and charged us $180 for it. Now that they have given him his previous medication, we can’t give him the new medication. On top of that, they said that they needed to charge us $180 for the Medication that they were not supposed to give him Because they already administered it to him accidentally. Now they are asking us to pay for their mistake and we are able to administer the new medication that will help my dog with his allergies. We have been going to the same vet for over 15 years. This is very disappointing.

Villa Park Animal Clinic Introduce

For pet owners in Orange, California, and the surrounding areas seeking a local "Pet Hospital Near Me," Villa Park Animal Clinic, situated at 17859 Santiago Blvd # A, Orange, CA 92861, USA, offers veterinary care services. They can be contacted at (714) 998-4322 or their mobile number +1 714-998-4322.

Based on recent online reviews, Villa Park Animal Clinic has undergone a change in ownership. For long-term clients, this transition is a significant piece of information to note. One reviewer mentioned their family had been visiting the clinic for many years, spanning the care of four dogs, and specifically pointed out the recent change in ownership.

One customer recounted a specific appointment experience that provides insight into the clinic's services and potential challenges. During the appointment, the veterinary team discussed a change in their dog's allergy medication, explaining the treatment plan. The reviewer appreciated the understanding of their dog's issue and the proactive approach in suggesting a new medication. This suggests that Villa Park Animal Clinic aims to address pet health concerns and offer solutions, including pharmaceutical interventions.

However, the same review detailed a significant issue during the checkout process. The clinic reportedly administered the dog's previous allergy medication again, despite the intention to switch, and subsequently charged $180 for it. This error had implications for the pet's treatment, as the new medication could not be administered immediately after the previous one. The reviewer expressed disappointment that they were asked to pay for the medication that was given in error, highlighting a potential lapse in communication or protocol during medication administration.

Another review noted the departure of Dr. Miles, a veterinarian who was highly regarded by the client. The reviewer expressed hope that the new veterinarians taking her place would possess the same level of knowledge and kindness towards pets. The fact that the stars in this review were explicitly for Dr. Miles indicates her positive impact on clients and their animals, and the change in veterinary staff is another important factor for potential and existing clients to consider.

Considering these recent reviews, it appears that Villa Park Animal Clinic offers services such as consultations, treatment planning (including medication adjustments for conditions like allergies), and medication administration. However, the feedback also raises concerns regarding potential errors in medication dispensing and billing, as well as the impact of staff changes on the continuity and quality of care.

Information regarding the environment of Villa Park Animal Clinic is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Typically, a pet hospital aims to provide a clean and comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. This includes examination rooms, waiting areas, and potentially surgical or treatment areas, depending on the scope of services offered. The overall atmosphere and the way staff interact with the animals contribute to the perceived environment of a veterinary clinic.

The features of Villa Park Animal Clinic, beyond the standard veterinary services, are not detailed in the provided text. Features that can distinguish a pet hospital might include specialized equipment, in-house laboratory services, digital record-keeping, online portals for clients, or extended hours. The reviews do not offer insights into these aspects.

Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Pet hospitals sometimes offer promotions such as discounts on first visits, vaccination packages, or seasonal specials on preventative care. Without further information, it is impossible to comment on any current promotions at Villa Park Animal Clinic.

For local users in Orange, CA, seeking a "Pet Hospital Near Me," Villa Park Animal Clinic is an option to consider. However, the recent change in ownership and the issues raised in the customer reviews, particularly concerning medication errors and staff changes, warrant careful consideration. Potential clients may want to inquire about the new ownership's policies and procedures, especially regarding medication protocols and staff qualifications.

Long-term clients who valued the care provided by Dr. Miles may want to learn more about the qualifications and experience of the new veterinary staff. It is crucial for pet owners to feel confident in the knowledge and competence of their veterinary care providers.

In conclusion, Villa Park Animal Clinic in Orange, CA, offers veterinary services, including consultations and medication treatments. However, recent feedback indicates a change in ownership and potential issues with medication administration and billing. The departure of a well-regarded veterinarian is also a factor for consideration. Local pet owners seeking a "Pet Hospital Near Me" should weigh these points and may want to seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly before making a decision about their pet's care.

Dr. Miles has left the practice. She was just the best! I hope the Vets that take her place will be as knowledgeable as she was and as kind to our pets. She will be missed! These stars are for her.

I just love Dr. Miles. She is always happy when we see her. My dogs are not afraid to walk through the door for their appointments. The office is pretty busy, but that's because she is that good and worth the wait. UPDATE: she is no longer there and it makes me so sad. She was the best
