I really wanted to give them 5 stars but it's kind of impossible. My German Shepard was attached by other dogs so he has to have lots of fluid drain and stitches and stables. They did a good job and the follow ups were good as well. My problem is that we brought our dog back multiple times to remove stitches and stables. The final one was supposed to be FINAl. We brought our dog to San Diego to live with our kids. And we found out he still has 7 stables on the is head. This is absolutely terrible. Although when we called they offered for us to bring him in so they can remove the stables no charge. But that's not the point. He's so far away now. Plus they should have double check or at least have a check list of how many stables they did on our dog. Anyhow, we probably we'll take him to a local pet hospital to have the stables removed. Really disappointing.

Welcome to Via Verde Animal Hospital
Via Verde Animal Hospital, located at 1138 Via Verde Ave, San Dimas, CA 91773, USA, serves as a local "Pet Hospital" providing veterinary services to the community. Accessible via phone at (909) 541-5051 or +1 909-541-5051, the clinic aims to offer a range of care for household pets, addressing both routine needs and more complex medical issues.
While specific details about the physical environment of Via Verde Animal Hospital, such as its interior design, waiting area size, or examination room aesthetics, are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews, the feedback suggests an environment where pet owners feel comfortable bringing their animals for various treatments. The general tone of positive reviews indicates that the atmosphere supports effective customer service, contributing to a sense of care and professionalism. One client specifically highlighted "great customer service skills," which implies a welcoming and supportive interaction with the staff. This aspect of the environment – the human element – appears to be a significant factor in shaping the overall client experience. Despite a critical review regarding a specific procedural oversight, the willingness of the hospital to offer a no-charge resolution indicates a commitment to customer satisfaction and a responsive approach to addressing concerns, which contributes to an overall perception of a caring establishment.
Via Verde Animal Hospital provides a variety of veterinary services typical of a general pet hospital. Based on the customer reviews, these services include, but are not limited to, emergency care for injuries (such as those requiring fluid drainage, stitches, and staples), and specialized procedures like dental care. One review specifically praises the hospital for successfully addressing a senior Chihuahua's dental problems, suggesting they are equipped and experienced in performing such procedures. This indicates a focus on maintaining oral health, which is a crucial part of a pet's overall well-being. The positive outcome for the dog's dental needs highlights the clinic's capability in this area. Furthermore, the handling of a German Shepherd's injuries, including initial treatment and follow-up care, demonstrates their capacity for managing trauma and surgical recovery. While the follow-up process had a significant flaw, the initial treatment and subsequent check-ups were noted as "good," indicating competence in medical procedures themselves.
A key feature of Via Verde Animal Hospital, as highlighted by a satisfied client, is their reasonable pricing. This aspect is a significant advantage for pet owners seeking quality veterinary care without excessive financial burden. The phrase "the prices were more reasonable" directly addresses a common concern for pet owners and positions the hospital as an accessible option. Coupled with this affordability, the "great customer service skills" of the staff are frequently praised. Clients feel that the hospital "cares about you and your pet," fostering a sense of trust and genuine concern. This compassionate approach contributes to a positive overall experience, making pet owners feel valued and understood during what can often be stressful times for both them and their animals.
However, it is important to acknowledge a significant concern raised by a client regarding a procedural oversight during a follow-up for a German Shepherd. The retention of seven staples after a "final" removal appointment is a serious issue that points to a potential lapse in their discharge or checklist protocols. While the hospital promptly offered a no-charge resolution to remove the remaining staples, the inconvenience and disappointment caused by this oversight, especially given the distance the pet was subsequently transported, highlight the importance of meticulous attention to detail in every step of patient care. This incident, despite the hospital's offer to rectify it, underscores the need for robust internal procedures to ensure consistency and thoroughness in all treatments and follow-ups. Nevertheless, the general consensus from other feedback leans towards a positive assessment of their core services and the care they provide, suggesting this might be an isolated incident rather than a systemic issue.
While specific promotional campaigns are not explicitly mentioned in the provided information, the recurring positive remarks about "reasonable prices" and "great customer service skills" act as strong organic promotional points for Via Verde Animal Hospital. These elements directly address two primary considerations for pet owners when choosing a veterinary provider: cost and quality of interaction. The success stories, particularly regarding dental procedures and initial injury treatments, serve as testimonials to their clinical effectiveness.
The hospital's quick offer to rectify the staple removal issue, even across a significant distance, suggests a commitment to client satisfaction and accountability. This responsiveness, even in the face of an error, can build long-term trust. For local pet owners in San Dimas, Via Verde Animal Hospital positions itself as a caring and affordable option for a range of veterinary needs, from routine check-ups and dental care to managing more serious injuries. Prospective clients can anticipate a generally positive experience rooted in their customer service and pricing, with the understanding that, like any healthcare provider, occasional procedural inconsistencies can occur, but are met with a willingness to resolve them.

Apr 20, 2025 · Minh ThaiWell my senior citizen Chihuahua was having dental problems. And I looked up Yelp and found this animal hospital. I thought the prices were more reasonable. And great customer service skills. Helping to be able to help my pet feel better by getting some dental needs done was worth the money. I definitely think highly of this place how they treat you the prices it's definitely a place that cares about you and your pet. Have a great day and hope you have as good an experience as I did.
Apr 24, 2025 · Melsie DMy pet Sky and I are frequent visitors of Via Verde animal hospital. She has a pitbull with a lot of health issues and we're always treated like family there. Everyone is always super attentive. Doctors are the best you can find around in the area- I highly recommend Dr Kumar and Dr Daman. And of course, nurses-Sam and Betsy are THE BEST !!! Ladies at the front desk are always on point. BUT THEN AGAIN, AS I SAY, EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WORKS THERE IS WONDERFUL!!!! The pricing is fair- invest in health insurance for your pet, it is definitely doable if you want to get the best you do have to spend a little money because, after all, you get what you pay for.
