Welcome to VetweRx Equine North

VetweRx Equine North, situated at 7171 Pike Rd, Longmont, CO 80503, USA, operates primarily as a pharmacy catering to the specific medication needs of horses. While the platform category is listed as "Pet Hospital," the available information and customer reviews suggest a strong focus on pharmaceutical services for equine health. Understanding the distinction is crucial for local users seeking either veterinary care or a reliable source for horse medications and supplies.

Details regarding the physical environment of VetweRx Equine North are not extensively described online. However, the mention of both a "North and South practice" in one of the positive reviews implies the existence of established facilities. Typically, a veterinary pharmacy would include a well-organized dispensing area, storage for medications (potentially including temperature-controlled areas for sensitive drugs), and consultation spaces for discussing medication instructions with clients. Given the equine focus, the facility might also be equipped to handle larger animal medications and potentially have a layout that accommodates horse owners for pick-ups or consultations.

The primary service of VetweRx Equine North is the dispensing of prescribed medications for horses. This includes a wide range of pharmaceuticals necessary for treating various equine health conditions, managing chronic illnesses, and providing preventative care. A specialized equine pharmacy like VetweRx would likely stock medications in appropriate dosages and formulations for horses, ensuring that owners have access to the specific treatments their veterinarians prescribe.

Beyond simply dispensing medications, a reputable veterinary pharmacy often provides valuable related services. These can include accurate filling of prescriptions, clear instructions on medication administration, information on potential side effects and storage requirements, and the ability to answer owner questions regarding their horse's medications. They may also offer services such as compounding medications that are not commercially available in the required form or dosage for a specific animal. While not explicitly stated for VetweRx Equine North, these are common offerings of specialized veterinary pharmacies.

One of the key features highlighted in a positive customer review is the presence of "Dr. Finley," who is described as "one of the best" and credited with helping a very sick horse recover. This suggests that VetweRx Equine North may also offer veterinary consultations or have a veterinarian on staff who plays a significant role in the care of their clients' horses, going beyond just dispensing medications. The reviewer's statement, "They truly care about your animals," further implies a level of personalized attention and commitment to equine health that extends beyond a typical retail pharmacy.

However, it is important to consider all available feedback. Another review presents a significantly contrasting experience, describing the service received during an emergency situation as "very callous and rude." This reviewer, vacationing from out of state with a colicking horse, reported being told that the clinic was over capacity and, when asking for recommendations for other emergency clinics, was allegedly advised to "euthanize the horse." This negative experience raises concerns about the level of emergency support and the communication style encountered by this particular customer. It is crucial for potential local users to weigh both positive and negative feedback when considering VetweRx Equine North.

Given the conflicting nature of the reviews, it is challenging to ascertain a definitive overall picture of the services and environment without more comprehensive information. The positive review strongly praises Dr. Finley and the care received for a seriously ill horse, indicating a high level of expertise and dedication in at least some instances. Conversely, the negative review highlights a deeply unsatisfactory experience during an emergency, suggesting potential limitations in emergency care capacity or issues with communication in stressful situations.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for VetweRx Equine North in the provided data. It is common for pharmacies, including veterinary pharmacies, to offer promotions such as discounts on certain medications, loyalty programs, or special offers on related products. Local users interested in any potential promotions should contact VetweRx Equine North directly at (303) 569-4828 or +1 303-569-4828 to inquire about current offers or programs.

In conclusion, VetweRx Equine North in Longmont, Colorado, appears to be a specialized equine pharmacy with the potential to offer knowledgeable service, particularly highlighted by the positive experience with Dr. Finley. They likely provide a range of equine medications and may offer veterinary consultations. However, the serious concerns raised in the negative review regarding emergency support and communication should also be taken into consideration. Local users are advised to contact VetweRx Equine North directly to understand the full scope of their services, their capacity for different types of care (including emergencies), and any current promotions they may be offering for equine medications and related products.

Very callous and rude. Vacationing from out of state and had a horse colic. In a panic I started using Google to find emergency clinics near me. I was told they are over capacity so I asked if they recommend somewhere else to call. I was told no, to euthanize the horse. Well thank God I didn't because the service we received at Littleton was excellent and my horse is now fine, thank God I didn't listen to your "advice"

These guys are a true ambulatory practice. Just as in human medicine, you call, and they are there in a jiff! Rain or Shine! Thanks Dr. Finley!

There is no better equine vet. The level of attentive care, attention to detail, personalized experience and expressed knowledge is bar none. Dr. Yurek and his team are hands down the best option when seeking any help. This isn’t just a come and go type of option. They will literally go through all the loops to ensure your animal gets the best care possible and educate you on what needs to be done to avoid any issues. That’s just one facet of their practice. The levels of knowledge shared between their team is unmatched.

Best vets in the area hands down. They have kept my upper level Dressage horse sound and happy for several years now. They are honest and kind and have amazing skills for diagnosing lameness. They are a part of my team and have bent over backwards for me and my horses. Highly recommend!!
