Dr. Collins and her staff are simply amazing!! From the consultation to the surgery to the aftercare they never make you feel like you are going through the process alone! Our Dog Apollo had the TPLO surgery 16 weeks ago and is now able to use his leg that prior to surgery he could only hold up on the air. We are in the process of scheduling the other leg to have the TPLO surgery. As scary as it is, I feel at ease with Dr. Collin’s and this team! They are second to none!!

The Veterinary Surgery Center of Western NY specializes in a comprehensive range of surgical services, with a particular focus on complex procedures. Their primary offerings include:

  • TPLO Surgery: This is a highly specialized orthopedic procedure, Transverse Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy, aimed at correcting the biomechanics of the knee joint, particularly for dogs suffering from cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) tears. This surgery is frequently highlighted in client testimonials, showcasing successful outcomes for pets regaining full mobility.

As a referral-only practice, pets are typically seen after a consultation with their primary care veterinarian. Dr. Collins has been nothing been amazing towards us and our pup. Our dog broke her leg and needed surgery urgently, so we reached out all over and Dr. Collins office provided quick responses, realistic costs, and got us in the next day. She took the time to go over everything after surgery and her staff is also amazing. Even after surgery - our dog was having stomach issues - and she was quick to answer and help out even though it was the weekend. Highly recommend.
