I brought my dog who has hip dysplasia to the Veterinary Rehabilitation Services of Virginia to help with her chronic pain. Sophia was really thorough and did a full evaluation, massage, strengthening exercises, PEMF, laser treatment and water treadmill session. She went above and beyond to help evaluate all aspects of my dog’s care including her feed/weight, supplements and the best type of harness to use. I was able to see a positive difference in her comfort after just one session and I feel so much relief at having a great plan moving forward to help my dog be as pain free as possible. We have exercises we’ve been doing at home which have been making a difference already and will be coming back for more sessions!

Mar 03, 2022 · Kate ScherI cannot say enough good things about this facility and staff. I brought my horse here after he suffered a severe leg injury. From day one, the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating for my boy and I. They kept me updated through the entire healing process, and took phenomenal care of him. It was a huge relief knowing he was getting the care and attention he needed. From the people who kept his stall clean, to the ones who treated his wounds, I couldn’t have asked for better & I will always be grateful for everyone who helped him along the way. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend this facility.
Jan 06, 2024 · Samantha GomezI took my 8 year old dog to Sam Blake at the Fredericksburg location for a groin & knee injuries, and we are so very glad she was recommended to us. She has been extremely helpful, thorough, and compassionate. Looking forward to working with her through our dog's recovery.
Feb 06, 2023 · Leah AbrahamsonI sent my FEI level dressage horse to them with a hind suspensory injury that we had been dealing with for over a year. He went to VRS just before he had surgery and he stayed with them after his surgery for rehabilitation. My horse came home mentaly happy, physically sound and strong enough to go back to work. He had the best care possible and I fully believe we would still have been dealing with soundness issues, if it hadn't been for the excellent care that he recevied at VRS! The team at VRS goes above and beyond for every horse. They take such wonderful care of every animal in their charge, I highly recommend using them for any horse that needs rehabilitating.
Sep 07, 2022 · Taska ParkerVRSVA is a sanctuary for horses and their people. Coming out of my horse's surgery, I was concerned about a long-term lay-up and the stress and depression that can come with it. The horses here look nothing like the others I've witnessed on stall rest at boarding barns. These horses are happy, content, and so well cared for. They receive constant interaction and the best environment for a healthy recovery, both physically and mentally. My horse was so fragile following surgery, and they cared for him like one of their own from the moment we arrived. I remember hearing, "Let me see my new baby!" as Payge came out of the barn to meet us at the trailer. I was immediately at ease and knew we had made the right decision. I can't say enough good things about Katherine, Christina, and the entire staff. Their passion for healing is immediately apparent, and their patience and positivity lifted my spirits every time I came out for a visit. Rehab isn't always a straightforward path, and they've been my horse's biggest cheerleaders, a shoulder to cry on in tough situations, and genuinely good people that I'm so thankful to have had on our team. The peace of mind that comes from knowing your horse is safe and under veterinary supervision with this level of care is invaluable. I'm forever grateful for Katherine and VRSVA. Don't hesitate to leave your horses in their hands. It's a special place.
