We crossed state lines to take our cat to VOSM for foot surgery and it was well worth the 6+ hour round trip that we made TWICE for both drop off AND pick up. Dr. Leasure and his team made sure to give us regular updates and walk us through the entire Surgical process and left us extensive notes on post operative care. He was very considerate of our cats comfort during this scary time. The Receptionists were compassionate when it came to our situation, prompt when it came to communication, and resourceful when we needed information on financial assistance for the procedure. Dr Leasure himself called up before surgery to ask for our verbal consent, after we had given written consent and to answer any additional concerns we may have had before the operation. He also called us as surgery was over to let us know that everything had gone well. This really put our minds at ease. We contacted VOSM because every vet in our home town had a 3 week or more wait time for surgery or only did amputations when this injury was completely treatable! We had been turned down dozens of times and even given attitudes on the phone by receptionists from other veterinary offices in our home town when wed call to inquire on the much needed surgery. The team at VOSM is has set a new gold standard for us in regards to veterinary care, and if you ever need compassionate, prompt, and communicative care for a beloved pet, Then I wholeheartedly endorse VOSM. So thorough and informative, Dr. Leasure was WONDERFUL, and all staff were kind and helpful. THE choice for specialty surgeries, my dogs collectively have had 4 TPLOs, one TPLO plate extraction, and another Achilles repair (dog injured CCL/meniscus *and Achilles tear at the same time-this was a rough one), and all successfully repaired and back to new. We’ve been here once before for my working dogs’ first CCL; He tore his other CCL recently. This hospitals speed for appointments, the staffs knowledge, the surgeons expertise is nothing short of outstanding. I’d recommend them to anyone. We travel 8 hours to get to them and will continue to travel for any sports related injuries for my dogs! Love this group.

I am so glad I found this place. Having my dogs tplo surgery was the best thing I ever did for him. He is a new dog at 10 years old. I was so worried about recovery but they totally prepared me during the pick up appt on what I needed to do. I am glad I partnered with them to get my baby back to himself. And it truly is a partnership. They do their part (surgery) and you have to do your part at home but it is so worth it! Thank you!

I can’t possibly say enough wonderful things about this place! It’s at least a 45 min drive from where we live, but we’ll never go anywhere else. Our dog just had her second surgery there and although we missed her dearly that night, we slept fine knowing she was in the very best hands. They call frequently to give updates (the surgeon even called before and after surgery to tell us how she was doing!!) The rest of the staff is equally amazing and you can call anytime for questions, concerns, or just to see how your pet is doing! Our rescue doggy (Angel) means the world to us, and I promise I wouldn’t write such a long message if they were just mediocre. They are, in fact, the best!
