Very kind, caring people. Had my 4 year old chocolate lab in for a TPLO surgery. He so far is healing really well. Staff was kind and knowledgeable and answered all questions I had, they even checked on him while he was waiting to go into surgery for me (nervous mommy)!

Veterinary Orthopedic Center Introduce
Veterinary Orthopedic Center, located at 2215 Main St, Highland, IN 46322, is a "Hospital" category platform specializing in orthopedic veterinary services. This clinic has received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the staff's kindness and others expressing concerns about the clinic's approach to diagnoses and pricing.
One customer shared a positive experience, praising the "very kind, caring people." They brought their 4-year-old chocolate lab for TPLO surgery and reported that their dog was healing well. They found the staff to be kind and knowledgeable, answering all their questions and providing reassurance during the pre-surgery waiting period.
However, another customer reported a negative "new patient experience." They felt the clinic immediately focused on scheduling ACL surgery without thoroughly examining their dog. They described the doctor's approach as primarily focused on the frequency of surgeries performed and the cost of the procedure, rather than a detailed assessment of their dog's condition. They felt the clinic was "fishing for owners who can spend money on surgery" and advised seeking a second opinion.
Key features and services noted by customers include:
- Specialized orthopedic veterinary services, including TPLO and ACL surgeries
- Potentially kind and knowledgeable staff (according to some)
- Concerns about rushed diagnoses and a focus on surgical scheduling
- Concerns about high pricing and a perceived upselling approach
- Varied experiences with doctor consultations
- Standard veterinary services

Feb 19, 2025 · Brittany JenkinsNew Patient Experience: As soon as we entered the clinical, we were handed ACL surgery documents and recovery plan, Without even checking the dog. Dr came in proudly they do surgeries daily and he just did 4 today, it’s very common all without even checking the dog. Then Checked the dog for 2 mins and told this will need surgery and Dr. doctor was waiting for our reaction, i just queried about the price, pulled up a rate card and told 5800 for surgery and went on to say lets get you scheduled for surgery. This clinic seems like fishing for owners who can spend money on surgery. Be careful and take second opinion.
Mar 02, 2025 · Shikhi ShekharThis is an extraordinary veterinary hospital. They focus on orthopedic procedures and are experts in this field. The entire staff is capable and friendly. Our experience with our Bernese Mountain Dog was excellent. Everything was quick and on time with easy to understand follow up and maintenance for our pup. If your critter has an orthopedic issue, please use this clinic.
Dec 16, 2024 · Steve BarackAll the local vets and Lafayette/Purdue wanted to amputate our dogs leg. We were very happy the surgeon not only said it was possible, he could do it that week ... she's still healing after a week but she's getting around fine....on 4 legs. We are very happy
Jun 12, 2024 · patrick HippydogGreat service today! Doctor took plenty of time to explain everything to us as our pup prepares for surgery. Really friendly staff.
