Dr McDonnell is such a caring and compassionate veterinary neurologist! He meets every patient at their level with such grace. Trinity does a wonderful job and my pup never notices when her rectal temperature is taken and you can’t say that for every tech! This whole team including their front desk staff is extremely professional and Friendly. We are happy to be graduating back to our vet after 3 1/2 years of neurological care with this practice but we will miss the team! Thank you for all you do!

Dr. Jay McDonnell and his team are providing exceptional care for my little fur baby, Rocco. Without a doubt, Dr. McDonnell is the most compassionate and kind physician I have ever encountered for Rocco’s care. His bedside manner truly reflects his deep dedication to animals. Every member of his team—Katelyn, Mackenzie, and Jessie—is phenomenal. They are all incredibly kind, professional, and attentive to Roo’s needs. Their dedication and expertise are evident in every aspect of Rocco’s treatment. I cannot thank them enough for the outstanding care they are providing Rocco.

First time seeing a Neurologist for our Aussie because of seizures. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Vet techs, front office staff, and Dr were all kind and made you feel welcome. I was worried they would want repeat labs already done but they were able to obtain records ahead of time and didn't reorder them. They did their exam and didn't push for CT's and MRI's because they didn't think it was necessary. They have a place to log seizures online, which we did use. We actually received an unexpected call from the Neurologist after we logged one in. Looking forward to our continued care with this practice.

Absolutely the best!!! Dr. Mcdonnell & the entire staff at VNIOC are amazing, they were very accommodating & helpful every step of the way with treating my Luna girl for her seizures. They are very compassionate & treat every animal as if they were their own. Dr. Mcdonnell always took the time to explain everything about her condition & the plan we were to follow. Unfortunately, medication did not help control Luna’s epilepsy & I did have to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down, but I cannot thank the VNIOC staff enough for EVERYTHING they have done for us this past year.

While our visit didn't yield good news, we were thankful for the compassion and knowledge from the staff and Dr. Gainsburg. We were able to understand the root cause of our Reggie's seizures which helped understand his quality of life going forward. Unfortunately, Reggie did succumb to one last seizure and is now at peace. However, if it weren't for VNIoC, we wouldn't have understood his condition. Dr. Gainsburg even made a financial donation on behalf of Reggie to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter. This goes to show you that you're not treated as a number, but as a member of their family. We were also grateful to have gotten into the clinic for a visit so quickly too.
