Don’t schedule anything with Brian Ward. I just picked up my dog from gainesway clinic in Lexington where Dr. Ward was scheduled to do her TPLO surgery today, after canceling last week when he said they were going to get 6 inches of snow. The forecast was for none and that’s what happened. Nevertheless, the surgery was rescheduled for today and I dropped Kona off at 8am as instructed and called to let Dr. Ward know I had done so. His assistant said they were starting a surgery in georgetown and would be heading down afterwards. I called gainesway at 1:25 and was told Dr. Ward had not yet shown up. I then called his number and he answered. He immediately said to stop calling him and my continual calling was not making him go any faster. As I hadn’t called in almost 6 hours, I was stunned by this. He kept talking-loudly- over any attempts I made to have a civil discussion as to what was going to happen-or not- with my dog’s surgery. He said “this isn’t the way we do things and I was welcome to go pick up my dog” I questioned him since the surgery would be beginning so late in the day, if she would be staying overnight. “ that’s up to you”, he stated. Gee thanks, great medical advice. I picked up my dog from gainesway 30 minutes later. Rude doesn’t begin to describe his attitude. He may very well be a talented surgeon. But I certainly wouldn’t trust him with a pet centipede. There are too many other choices for great surgeons where you don’t have to listen to a one sided harangue or wonder what’s happening. I suggest you find one. Not this guy.

Welcome to Veterinary Mobile Surgical Services

Welcome to Veterinary Mobile Surgical Services, operating out of Crittenden, Kentucky, at 112 Timberwood. We provide mobile surgical services for pets, bringing specialized surgical care to different clinic locations. Dr. Brian Ward is the veterinarian associated with these services.

As a mobile service, the environment varies depending on the clinic where the surgeries are scheduled. One review mentions a surgery planned at Gainesway Clinic in Lexington and another potentially at a clinic in Georgetown. The nature of a mobile service means there isn't a consistent clinic environment to describe directly.

Veterinary Mobile Surgical Services, led by Dr. Ward, offers specialized surgical procedures for pets. One significant case mentioned is the successful and affordable surgery performed on a miniature Dachshund with a non-functional heart murmur, which was considered a "miracle" and saved the puppy's life. This suggests expertise in complex surgical interventions at potentially more accessible prices. However, another review details a very negative experience regarding a scheduled TPLO surgery. This included a last-minute cancellation, significant delays on the rescheduled day, poor communication, and what was perceived as rude and unprofessional behavior from Dr. Ward.

A key feature of this service appears to be the provision of specialized surgeries, potentially at more affordable prices than traditional specialty clinics, as highlighted by the successful heart murmur surgery. However, a significant concern raised is the unprofessionalism, poor communication, and unreliable scheduling experienced by another pet owner. This inconsistency in service delivery and communication is a crucial factor for local users to consider.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available. Local users in the Crittenden, KY area and surrounding regions considering Veterinary Mobile Surgical Services should be aware of the mixed reviews. While Dr. Ward is credited with a life-saving and affordable surgery in one instance, another pet owner had a severely negative experience marked by cancellations, delays, and unprofessional conduct. It is advisable to seek thorough communication and clarification on all aspects of scheduling and the surgical process before entrusting your pet to this service. Contact information is not directly provided in the listing, so further online search may be necessary to reach Dr. Ward.

Dr. Brian Ward, I believe performed a miracle on a little miniature Dachshund that as a Breeder was in a litter of 3. The other 2 were fine but this little girl had a non-functional heart murmur. The great people that bought her sister just wanted her to live her life out, no matter how long she had with her family and the puppy's sister. They fell so much in love with them they started searching for a Vet to do the operation. Everyone was so expensive. Finally they found Dr. Ward. And what a blessing he was. He performed the surgery at an affordable price and it was successful. She is doing so great. We all just want to thank Dr. Ward and his staff, with God's help saved this little baby. Thank you again. God Bless and thank you all.

Extremely talented veterinary surgeon. He has done a TPLO on one of dogs and TECA on another. The TPLO was expertly done and he used post pain control better than the Care Center did, she went home w/ 100ug duragesic patch, far superior than any other post op medication given to one of my dogs at the Care Center. She totally pain controlled and recovery was 100%, you would never know she had knee replacement surgery. The TECA, total ear canal ablation was for my chocolate lab, rescued from a breeder, she was abused and neglected, her ear canals were swollen shut from repeated, untreated ear infections. Dr Ward again did an outstanding job on her and was very affordable he truly is a very talented surgeon. I trust him to operate on my dogs.

Dr. Brian Ward saved the life of my kitty Sparky 7 years ago when he was only7 years old. Today, Sparky is a happy and well-loved kitty thanks to Dr. Brian Ward. When Sparky was 7, he had a blockage in his urethra and underwent a perineal urethrostomy performed by Dr. Ward. Without this surgery, he wouldn't be here today. Dr. Ward communicated with me before and after surgery, he did an amazing job. Flash forward to two weeks ago and the same problem with a different cat of mine, Apollo. I rushed him to the hospital and he indeed had a blockage for the second time in just two weeks. I specifically asked if they could contact Dr. Brian Ward but was told the surgery would be performed by a staff surgeon. While I am grateful that my kitty is alive and the surgery seems to have gone well, my kitty was much messier and seems to have had a much harder time of it. I really wish they would have have Dr. Ward come in and do his as requested. After experiencing this twice, I am confident in saying that Dr. Ward is the superior surgeon and I would trust him with any of my furkids.

Well that was a total waste of my time cancel four appointments in order to get Marley in to see Dr Brian Ward well he cancelled! Not several hours before the appointment not 30 min before the appt 15 min after my appointment was supposed to begin! Now his office doesnt contact me they contact Dr Sectors office who has no clue we are even to be seeing him today! His professionalism is pretty bad at this point having no regards to what his clients have to do to see this guy! It gets way worse than this when I express my displeasure at his lack of consideration and that fact Marley has a hard time even standing up and that due to having shoulder surgery tomorrow it would be very difficult to get him in and would there be anything he could do to expedite getting us in when I am not working he starts yelling over me that he doesnt need my business and doesnt care about my dog either and to take my business elsewhere! Is this vet for real? Now Marley has to wait 2 weeks or longer to be seen by Med Vet. Obviously he has no compassion for his patients or the state of their injuries. Only that he makes 150 just to talk to him rather its 10 min or 50min then oh its another 800 for the ct scan. He must work with some pretty rich people who can be at his beck in call whenever he feels like seeing the patient. This guy is a monster!
