VEG helped save our sweet puppy dog. The folks here are kind, patient, and very understanding when it comes to stress and emotions during emergency care for your pet. I will say they are very pricey, however the peace of mind I got from getting to sleep in a private room with my dog made it all worth it. Extremely grateful for this great group of humans - especially Martin and Alice who gave extra special attention to Alpine.

Welcome to Veterinary Emergency Group

Introducing Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a distinct type of Pet Hospital in Singapore, uniquely focused on providing immediate and expert veterinary care when your pet faces an unexpected health crisis. Understanding that emergencies can happen at any time, VEG is dedicated to being readily available with a highly skilled team and the necessary resources to address urgent medical and surgical needs. Unlike general practice veterinary clinics, our primary focus is on emergency situations, ensuring that your pet receives prompt and specialized attention when every second counts. We operate under the platform category of a Pet Hospital, but with a specialized emphasis on critical and urgent care.

At Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), our environment is specifically designed to optimize emergency care. Our facilities are open during designated emergency hours, providing immediate access when your pet needs it most. You can expect a streamlined and efficient process focused on rapid assessment and treatment. Our waiting areas are designed to minimize stress in urgent situations, and our triage system ensures that the most critical patients are seen immediately. Our emergency rooms are well-equipped with the necessary monitoring and life support equipment. VEG features advanced surgical suites prepared for a wide range of emergency procedures, and our diagnostic capabilities include in-house laboratories for rapid results and advanced imaging such as digital radiography and ultrasound to quickly identify the underlying issues. The entire layout and infrastructure of VEG are geared towards efficient and effective emergency medical and surgical interventions.

The core service offered by Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is immediate and expert care for pet emergencies. This encompasses a wide range of critical conditions, including trauma (such as car accidents or falls), sudden illnesses (like severe vomiting or difficulty breathing), accidental poisoning, bloat, and other life-threatening situations. Our services include rapid assessment and stabilization, advanced monitoring, emergency surgery, critical care, and pain management. We are equipped to handle a diverse array of emergencies, from cardiac crises and respiratory distress to severe lacerations and acute neurological issues. Our focus is on providing immediate, life-saving care and stabilizing your pet's condition.

A key feature of Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is our team of highly trained and dedicated emergency veterinarians and veterinary support staff. Our veterinarians have specialized training and experience in emergency medicine, enabling them to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat critical conditions. Our veterinary technicians and assistants are skilled in providing immediate and supportive care to our patients. The entire team is focused on working efficiently and collaboratively in high-pressure situations to provide the best possible outcome for your pet. We understand the stress and worry associated with pet emergencies and are committed to providing compassionate care and clear communication throughout the process.

While VEG's primary focus is emergency care, we also recognize the importance of collaboration with your primary care veterinarian. Once your pet is stable and the immediate crisis has been addressed, we will provide a comprehensive report and recommendations to your regular veterinarian to ensure seamless continuity of care and appropriate follow-up. In some cases, after stabilization, your pet may be transferred back to your primary veterinarian for ongoing management. Our goal is to work in partnership with your family veterinarian to ensure the best long-term health for your pet.

Given the nature of emergency veterinary care, promotional offers are less common. Our priority is to be available and equipped to provide immediate, life-saving care when your pet needs it most. We are committed to transparent and fair pricing for our emergency services. Upon arrival, our team will provide you with an initial assessment and a clear explanation of the recommended treatment plan and associated costs. We understand that emergency care can be unexpected, and we strive to provide clear and upfront communication about the financial aspects of your pet's care.

The environment at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is fast-paced and focused on immediate action. While we strive to provide comfort to your pet during a stressful time, our primary goal is to deliver rapid and effective medical and surgical interventions. I came in with my kitty cat, Cali who is extremely timid. Everyone was so accommodating and patient with her. I came in crying and Elise was so comforting and sweet. All the doctors were amazing, so attentive and personable. They don’t leave you in the dark about anything regarding your pet or costs. The only emergency pet clinic I will ever go to again, such an incredible staff!

The VEG staff immediately saw our dog upon our arrival, did a quick triage in consultation with a Dr., carefully did follow-up tests, and promptly did evaluation and treatment to assist our dog. They recommended a follow-up visit with our vet the next day, which we did. Our dog is now doing much better. VEG is not cheap, but they did provide quality and immediate care on short notice. I was very impressed with Dr. Gallon.

I can not say enough good things about VEG and the employees that we encountered. We brought our 6yo girl, Kimber in at 2ish in the morning from 45 minutes away. The staff immediately brought us to a room and started checking her vitals and giving her oxygen. They then put her into an oxygen cage while we waited for the vet to finish up with another patient. Dr Brantley (I think) was amazing. He gave us numerous treatment options to try and work with our financial situation. After X-rays he showed us how her lungs were congested and she likely had pneumonia which was causing her wheezing, coughing, lethargy and refusal to eat. The staff was so kind to us, offering us couched to sleep on and pulling them up next to our girl so she could see us. There was another pup there next to ours that had been attacked by dogs and had severe injuries. The staff sat in the crate with her to offer comfort since her family wasn’t there. We stayed until 7:30am to meet the dayshift and decided our pup would need to stay in oxygen for another 12 hours. We were kept well informed and able to come and go as we liked to check on our girl. Emergency vets are very expensive as they are well trained and have tons of high quality equipment. While we all wish treatment was free, they wouldn’t be able to continue functioning to be available during your pets emergency if they were not run as a business. It seems that many reviews were upset about not being able to afford treatment and I just want to reiterate how much the staff cared about our pet and found every way possible to help us.

I will never go to VEG again. We arrived 2 Saturdays ago with our cat who had a serious cut on her tail (we later learned it was called a degloving). We thought we were coming for stitches. VEG would only do a partial tail amputation. We were told a surgery specialist was the only one who could stitch the wound closed to save the tail and we’d have to connect with them on Monday or Tuesday. (We later learned that if we had waited that long it would have definitely been an amputation. We were being set up to fail.) To make this long story short, we left and went to SAVES (by Publix, less than 5 mins away) where my cat’s wound was stitched closed right then! Not by a surgery specialist; just the vet on duty that evening! Now 11 days later, her stitches are out and she has her tail!! I am SO ANGRY at the vet at VEG who only wanted to amputate. I am so angry for all the people who would have listened to that advice and left with an amputated tail when it wasn’t necessary. And I’m angry for all the people who are in the position of “we already paid $190 (that’s the cost to walk in the door), we can’t leave to get treatment somewhere else!” bc that’s where we were 5 years ago. There is so much more to this story including being left alone with minimal staff contact for an hour and a half and to being told we should have so other diagnostics done (again learned later they were unnecessary bc SAVES did none of it). The entire experience felt money grubbing and predatory and a complete lack of compassion for patients. Moral of my story- Go to SAVES who will actually save your pet. First picture- the morning after stitches were put in. Second picture- her completely healed tail with stitches removed! Proving that amputation was NOT necessary by any means and should not have been the only option given to us.
