We have never used an emergency vet before but noticed that our 10-year-old boxer was very lethargic and not acting like herself. We took her in and the VEG team were so amazing. She was assessed immediately and had an ultrasound on her heart within two minutes of arriving. The team was so professional and patient in explaining what was going on. The prognosis was not good for us and when it was clear that our pup was not going to make it, they moved us into a beautiful hospice space and let us take all the time we needed for family to arrive late at night and to say goodbye. They were so kind to our dog in her last hours. It was the best patient care and compassion I have ever seen from medical professionals and it was for our dog! I hope no one ever needs to bring their pet to this place, but if they do, we are very fortunate to have this team in our community.

We've just experienced the most remarkable display of empathy and professionalism at Veterinary Emergency Group in Maple Grove! While trimming Kiwi's nails (our green cheek conure parrot), we accidentally cut her quick, which has happened before due to her longer-than-normal quick. However, this time, styptic powder couldn't stop the bleeding. With blood everywhere, I called the VEG, and they assured us they'd see us right away. Upon arrival, they were literally waiting for us at the door, and opened it up as we all rushed in. We were greeted with kindness, compassion, and a calming presence that immediately put us at ease. My daughter was crying and worried, but the staff's gentle care and offers of water and coffee helped calm our nerves. From the moment we stepped out of our car, to Kiwi being on the exam table was less than 30 seconds! They quickly stopped the bleeding, performed a thorough examination, and kept Kiwi under observation, allowing us to stay by her side the entire time! We're thrilled with Kiwi's progress and grateful for the exceptional care we received. I highly recommend Veterinary Emergency Group for their outstanding service, available 24/7, 365 days a year. They welcome all pets, including exotics, and ensure you're never separated from your feathered, furry, or scaly friend. Veterinary Emergency Group in Maple Grove is outstanding, but don’t just take my word for it! Check out their other reviews!

Our black lab had a scratch on her cornea. If any human has experienced that, you'd know it hurts a lot. The staff was professional and I called before coming in. Recommended by the vet I get it checked which I planned on doing. Vet techs were very thorough, compassionate and caring. The vet himself was excellent and very attentive. Got her examined, got meds and was explained everything very clearly. In and out in about one hour. Highly recommend. To distract those of us that are human, they do have snacks and coffee or water.

I cannot say enough good things about this emergency vet clinic. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. We brought in our 10-week-old Newfoundland puppy, Moxie, after suspecting she might have eaten a piece of a cord while in her crate. Despite thinking she couldn’t reach it, we had found bits of it in her crate after nap time and there was a small piece unaccounted for. They immediately had an x-ray done upon arrival which quickly confirmed it was in her belly. Even though the clinic was handling two other more critical cases, they made sure we didn’t have to wait too long and kept us informed throughout. I truly appreciated their thoughtful approach—they chose to induce vomiting in a way that avoided scaring Moxie with a shot, especially since this was her first vet visit with us. Their care and compassion for both Moxie and us as new pet parents left a lasting impression. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of emergency care for their pets!

I highly recommend VEG Maple Grove for any pet emergency. My first experience with their unique approach left a lasting impression. When my 14-year-old dog, Milo, fell seriously ill, I was grateful for their open-floor concept, which allowed me to stay by his side throughout the entire process. I walked in without an appointment, and Gus at the front desk greeted us warmly, making check-in seamless. Dr. Carri Blees was absolutely amazing—her patience and thorough explanations guided us through a heartbreaking decision as Milo's health declined. The entire staff showed immense compassion, making an incredibly difficult experience a little more bearable. (Five stars to all of them!) Though we spent six hours with Milo before making the painful choice to let him go, I had time to observe the clinic’s thoughtful triage system. Patients received real-time updates on wait times and progress, much like a human ER. Despite the steady flow of emergencies, the staff maintained a calm, organized approach, prioritizing cases appropriately. The facility itself is new, clean, and welcoming, which helped ease some of the stress. What truly stood out was that there was no separation—I could stay with Milo at all times, unlike traditional vet clinics. Small details, like complimentary beverages and snacks, were thoughtful touches that made our long wait a bit more comfortable. Knowing there's a dedicated, compassionate team ready to assist in emergencies brings me peace of mind, even though I hope to never return under similar circumstances. Thank you, VEG Maple Grove, for your outstanding care! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
