Had to say goodbye to my kitty yesterday. Every single employee who helped was absolutely amazing. They were so, so kind and gentle with my cat. They were compassionate and explained everything and answered every question. They comforted her and made sure she was comfortable as she could be, and gave us as much time as we needed. They went above and beyond in every possible way. I would bring all of my pets here because the people are just amazing and so compassionate. The vet who helped my cat was Jo Devaney and she is just phenomenal at her job, as was everyone else who helped us yesterday. I would give them more than five stars if I could. Thank you so much to everyone there.

Jan 25, 2025 · Nichole MurphyWhen I first arrived at VEG I was immediately taken aback by how different it was, it was nothing like I expected; an open layout filled with young professionals-a new idea much different from the established norms but in hindsight a very welcome one. Nothing is obfuscated behind closed doors, and every team member on the floor is there to share in their expertise and in their effort towards the goal of making the animals brought to them feel calm, comfortable and well cared for. Dr. Fifer did a wonderful job for our dog Taz, they met the challenge of our dog's serious medical emergency with great skill, care and professionalism; apart from performing a highly successful operation, they went over every bullet point detail of the operation itself and other potential issues to follow expediently with my family and I both beforehand and afterwards. Thanks to their experience we were able to make an informed decision, and thanks to the skill and hospitality they and the rest of the staff that night (2-16-25) exhibited, Taz is still with us today and that means the world to us. Thank you all!!
Feb 24, 2025 · Anthony DoelzDr. Sturgill, Dr. Nichols, and the care team at VEG went above and beyond while taking care of my cats. They communicated with me at every step of the process and made sure they were doing everything to reduce the stress on my cats while they stayed in the hospital. They even set up individual TVs for my cats to watch bird videos on YouTube. I felt so much better knowing they were in good hands while they got better.
Mar 06, 2025 · Katerina HerzbergAbsolutely, wonderful compassionate staff, with such a considerate, family-focused setup. We had a very sudden, unexpected medical emergency with our dog Kopper, due to a rare medical condition we were unaware of. Before going into the Woodbury Veterinary Emergency Group, my family and I had much anxiety about bringing our sick and already scared beloved dog into an unknown cold, and scary environment. Our fears were based around thoughts of having some stranger take our puppy, into some cold back room without us, and that we would never see our family dog of nine years again. When we got there unannounced, staff rushed to our assistance, took our dog back for an x-ray immediately, and were back out with him within minutes so that we could be right there with him. When Dr. Sara Nichols returned we were eager to hear what may be going on, as this came on so suddenly. Our buddy was clearly suffering in the worst way. Dr. Sara Nichols knew exactly what was going on. She was straight to the point and clear on our prognosis and our options. It was easy to understand; what the right decision was for our pal. Unfortunately, we did have to put our "Hopper" hound to rest. When we decided, we were offered a quiet low-lit cozy room for my son, myself, and our dog. Dr. Sara allowed me to hold, pet, and comfort our pal as she helped lay Kopper to rest. This was not the experience I was expecting. It was not the atmosphere, I was expecting. It was such a sudden, hard thing to go through but when it was over, I realized very quickly how very blessed we were to have such an amazing group of people, and such a comforting atmosphere to help ease our dog's fear and ours. Thank you so much VEG. The Olson's
Jan 16, 2025 · Mindi OlsonHad to take my ferret here last night. Very nice staff that truly cared about the well-being of my ferret. We were able to be a part of his treatment throughout all of it. Only thing I didn’t agree with was that the record said my ferret was overweight, I have had ferrets for a long time and my family vet also agrees that my ferret is just a larger bred ferret. Other than that, I agreed with all of what they were suggesting treatment wise and they did not over price me for his care. I appreciate the staff that helped us. I definitely will be going back to VEG for any of my middle-of-the-night animal ER needs. Thoroughly impressed even though this location only opened 6 weeks ago. It is off to a great start and will be recommending VEG to others. Best animal ER experience so far. Thank you. 🖤
