Pro tip: Avoid the Chipotle next door unless you want food poisoning VEG took amazing care of my dog. It wasn't cheap but they gave her two blood transfusions and a major abdominal surgery to stop internal bleeding. Also a pre-surgery shoulder rub (see photo) which she quite enjoyed. You can watch your pet surgery if you want which is pretty cool!

Veterinary Emergency Group Introduce

Welcome to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a specialized 'Pet Hospital' located at 1827 15th Ave W Suite A16, Seattle, WA 98119, USA, dedicated to providing immediate and comprehensive emergency veterinary care for your beloved pets. For local pet owners facing critical health situations with their animals, VEG offers a unique approach to emergency services, characterized by rapid response, advanced medical capabilities, and a commitment to both the pet's and the owner's well-being, as highlighted in compelling customer reviews.

One pet owner recounted a critical experience where their dog required two blood transfusions and major abdominal surgery to address internal bleeding. While acknowledging that the treatment was not inexpensive, the reviewer emphasized the exceptional care their dog received at VEG. This indicates that Veterinary Emergency Group is equipped to handle complex and life-threatening medical situations, offering advanced procedures such as blood transfusions and major surgeries that may not be available at all general veterinary practices. The successful outcome of this case underscores the expertise and resources available at VEG for critical pet emergencies.

Adding a personal touch to their care, VEG also provided a pre-surgery shoulder rub for the dog, a detail captured in a photo shared by the reviewer, which the dog apparently "quite enjoyed." This small act of kindness highlights the compassionate and attentive nature of the staff, who go beyond the necessary medical procedures to ensure the comfort and well-being of their patients, even in stressful emergency situations.

A particularly unique feature of Veterinary Emergency Group, mentioned by the same reviewer, is the option for pet owners to watch their pet's surgery if they wish. This level of transparency can provide immense comfort and reassurance to anxious pet owners, allowing them to witness firsthand the care and expertise being applied to save their animal's life. This open approach fosters trust and sets VEG apart from many other veterinary facilities.

Another powerful testimonial comes from a Rover sitter who experienced an emergency with a 19-year-old cat under their care. Their experience with VEG highlights the clinic's immediate accessibility and rapid response. Upon calling early in the morning, the sitter was able to speak to a veterinarian right away. Upon arrival at the clinic, there was "no wait"—the elderly cat, Ellie, was seen immediately. This is a crucial aspect of emergency veterinary care, where time can be of the essence, and VEG's ability to provide immediate attention is a significant advantage for pet owners facing urgent situations.

The Rover sitter specifically praised Saara and the entire team for their "amazing care" of both Ellie and the sitter themselves. Recognizing the sitter's exhaustion from a night of caring for a sick pet, Saara went above and beyond by moving them to a private suite and even providing a bed for rest. This extraordinary act of kindness demonstrates a deep understanding of the emotional and physical toll that pet emergencies can take on caregivers. The fact that the staff gently took Ellie to ensure she received care while the sitter rested further emphasizes their compassionate and thoughtful approach.

The sitter was "absolutely blown away by the kindness and level of care" received at VEG and offered a strong recommendation based on this exceptional experience. This review underscores VEG's commitment not only to providing high-quality medical care but also to supporting the emotional needs of pet owners during stressful times. The willingness to provide a private space for rest and ensure the pet's continued care exemplifies a holistic and empathetic approach to emergency veterinary services.

Based on these reviews, Veterinary Emergency Group in Seattle offers a unique and valuable service to the local pet community. Their key features include the ability to handle major surgical emergencies and provide advanced treatments like blood transfusions, immediate attention with little to no wait times, exceptionally compassionate and supportive staff who prioritize both the pet's and the owner's well-being, and the unprecedented option of allowing owners to watch their pet's surgery. The environment appears to be equipped to handle critical cases efficiently, with the added comfort of private spaces for owners in distress.

It is important to note that emergency veterinary care often involves higher costs due to the immediate and intensive nature of the services provided, as acknowledged by one reviewer. However, the level of expertise, advanced capabilities, and exceptional care described in these testimonials suggest that the value provided by VEG justifies the expense in critical situations.

The provided information does not contain any specific promotional offers or discounts. Emergency veterinary services are typically accessed based on immediate need rather than scheduled appointments or promotions. However, the peace of mind that comes with knowing there is a dedicated emergency facility equipped to handle complex cases with compassion and efficiency is invaluable.

I’m a Rover sitter and recently had an emergency with a 19-year-old cat I was caring for. I called early in the morning, and the vet answered right away. When we arrived at the clinic, there was no wait—Ellie was seen immediately. Saara and the entire team took amazing care of both Ellie and me! I was completely exhausted after being up all night caring for her, and Saara went above and beyond—she moved us to a private suite and even pulled out a bed so I could rest. After I fell asleep, they gently took Ellie to make sure she was cared for while I got some much-needed sleep. I was absolutely blown away by the kindness and level of care at this clinic. Highly recommend!

"My chihuahua, bless his tiny, easily-stressed heart, views veterinary clinics as the eighth circle of doggy hell. His pre-vet routine usually involves frantic pacing, soulful whimpers, and a truly Oscar-worthy performance of digestive upset in the most public area possible. So, when we had a mini-crisis on the evening of April 8th, my expectations for a smooth clinic visit were lower than a limbo champion. Enter this 24-hour emergency haven. I braced myself for the usual lobby theatrics, but something was… I genuinely felt like my little drama llama was in the best possible hands.. ? Dare I say… calm-ish? The staff were like animal whisperers! They cooed, they reassured, they probably sprinkled magic calming dust (I wouldn't be surprised). Whatever they did, it worked. My dog went from trembling terror to cautiously curious in record time. And Dr. Rocco? Forget the stethoscope; this man wields pure compassion. He was fantastic – knowledgeable, (in a reassuring way, not a "your dog's weird" way), and genuinely seemed to care about my furry little dramatic chihuahua. It's so obvious that everyone at this clinic is in it for the love of the creatures. They're like the Avengers of the animal world, swooping in to save the day (and our sanity). Seriously, the only downside is that they don't do regular vet care! My dog might actually enjoy going to the vet for once So, to the amazing team, and especially to the magnificent Dr. Rocco: thank you! You turned a potentially stressful night into a surprisingly pleasant evening (and thankfully, no lobby poops!) You're all rockstars, and Dr. Rocco? “You're the Mic Jagger of emergency vets."

We brought our pet duck into VEG after seeing online that they are able to see some avian patients. I was pleasantly surprised by how open the physical space and the communication between patients and staff was. A very different layout from other emergency vets I've been to. I appreciated the whole team's obvious compassion for animals & their owners. No emergency vet is without a wait, but staff were helpful in making us comfortable and staying in communication. We were seen by Dr Edwards who was reassuring, knowledgeable, and honest about what care she recommended and could provide within the equipment limitations of VEG (ie they understandably don't have tiny little ventilators for birds in stock). Our duck got surgery at an avian specialist the next day and is recovering well. Price is not cheap, but no 24 hour emergency vet is, and we felt the high level of care we received equalled the cost to retain great staff.

I just wanted to say thank you so much to the Interbay VEG team, special kudos to the staff on the morning of March 16th and Dr. Nee. They were so gracious and kind to me as I was having my last moments with my precious baby girl Cas. They made sure to keep her as comfortable as possible and there were so supportive and comforting to me as well. Cas was my first pup and she lived a good 15 years and though it is so extremely hard to say goodbye, I will forever be thankful that your team made it a bit easier. Thank you again so much Dr. Nee.
