My dog Niko, a 7lb chihuahua-terrier mix, came down with pancreatitis and was very sick. The Drs. and staff at VEG were absolutely amazing!! They were compassionate, patient, and so good to him. He had to spend the night (which wrecked me!) and I had the option to stay and sit with him for as long as I needed. I felt so comfortable with the way they cared for him, I ended up going home to get a good night sleep anyways. I knew he was in great hands. They were amazing to him, and patient and kind with me. Even after I took him home, every time I called with a question they immediately helped me. I can't say enough about how great they are, and how grateful I am for the care they provided us!!!

I brought my puppy, Rhea, to VEG on a Saturday morning after another clinic had only given her fluids and tested her for parvo the night before, which came back negative. The VEG team quickly found that her kidney was enlarged and her ureter wasn’t working properly. My partner and I had to make a really hard choice: try an expensive surgery with no guarantees or let her go to stop her pain. When we decided to say goodbye, the team was so kind and patient. They gave us all the time we needed and never made us feel judged or like we were making the wrong choice. Losing Rhea was heartbreaking, I had never gone through a pain like this before. But, the care and compassion we got from the VEG team meant truly so much to us. Thank you for being so kind and for taking care of us and our sweet girl. I will never forget it.

After my puppy got sick on vacation unexpectedly, we were desperately seeking a place we could trust our Bagel with… a local vet recommended Wheat Ridge. I immediately began reading reviews and felt a bit uneasy with some of the responses. I then decided to call this facility to make sure they can accommodate us. The rudest woman answered the phone and was not just unhelpful but downright rude! Feeling even more uncomfortable, I began researching alternate vets in the area. I saw VEG and all the glowing reviews and decided to call. Within minutes I was personally speaking with a Dr on their staff and received endless resources to help me and my sick pup. We drove 2 hours from Vail and couldn’t have had a better experience. We were greeted by Carolina who was so sympathetic and kind. Cat and Liz took care of our dog like their own. We were allowed to stay with him and hold him in our arms while he was receiving care and IV. They proceeded to keep us updated with photos and texts when we left and gave us a room with a bed when we wanted to stay. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will forever be grateful to this wonderful team of doctors and staff. Bagel is back to himself after one night stay and was extremely comfortable the entire time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I brought my dog in with a serious condition, and Dr. Terry was with us right away, even though it was a busy Sunday afternoon. She listened carefully to every word I said, paid attention to all the small details, and took notes on everything, including a list of my dog’s allergies, which was incredibly important. She patiently answered all my questions and clearly explained the treatment process. We stayed overnight, in a nice, cozy room, and I also saw Dr. Kelly during the night and Dr. White the next morning; both were fantastic. The entire staff was wonderful—though I can’t remember all their names, I do remember Amber, Ashley, and Carolina. Everyone here works with genuine warmth and compassion, always taking amazing care of both my dog and me every time we’re here. Now Million has recovered. We can’t thank everyone here enough. Thank you VEG!

I adore this Emergency vet and ALL the people who work there so much, I don't think I can even truly put it into words. On the Sunday between Christmas and New Years (so pretty busy), our beloved Lab/Golden dog, Ibiza ("Bee") very, very suddenly was definitely not right, shivering uncontrollably, getting weaker by the minute. We took her in and watched her decline at a frightening rate. But the staff there -- from our first vet to every vet who followed her care over the next 2-1/2 days, to every nurse, to every tech, to every front desk person -- was unbelievably competent, caring, and kind. To BOTH Ibiza and us, her people. It was Bee's 9th birthday when we brought her in and one of the staff made her a birthday card, signed with sweet notes from all the very busy staff on site that morning!! The kindness of that act is something I'll never forget. Ultimately, Bee was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and had to stay in their care for 2-1/2 days. They gave us the option to stay overnight with her, come in whenever we wanted to be with her, call or text to get updates (or, after she came home but was still not out of the woods, ask questions). Bottom line, VEG and the people who work there truly understand that they need to take care of the animal brought in as well as the people who brought the animal in. Their professional knowledge and care gave us our sweet Bee back, and we are forever and eternally grateful.
