If I could give 10 stars I would! My bestfriend and I came to VEG late at night because our cat wasn’t feeling well. We found out he his bladder was completely blocked and this DEVASTATED us. Being two young adults, we didn’t exactly have the budget for the care plan the doctors curated. The VEG team was a great help in terms of figuring out financial options to avoid euthanasia. The doctor offered a procedure to us and was completely honest about the likelihood of the procedure working for our sweet cat. Long story short, after the procedure, unfortunately our sweet cat blocked again and we had to bring him back the very next day. At this point our cat required immediate surgery. I truly believe God is within the staff at this location. They even helped us find a provider to do our cats surgery the next day! Before coming to The Northern Liberties location, we took our cat to other veterinarians and we honestly felt they didn’t understand how much we love our “cat son” but the team at VEG understood us. I want to personally thank Dr. Hussein and Nurse Steph for helping us, being transparent and treating us with care during such a traumatic time! If you love your pet please take them to this location! I will never forget them!

Jan 03, 2025 · Kimmah CaesarI cannot say enough great things about VEG Emergency Vet. They took amazing care of my beloved little Lana, going above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff—from the receptionists to the techs and doctors—was incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. Lana was treated like the princess she is, and they kept me informed every step of the way. The doctors explained everything in detail, ensuring I felt comfortable and confident in the care she was receiving. Their level of expertise and genuine love for animals is unmatched. I’m so grateful for their quick action, thorough treatment, and the personal touch they brought to what was a very stressful situation. VEG made all the difference, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of emergency vet care. They’re the absolute best!
Dec 24, 2024 · Ian RichardsWe took our cat in because she wasn’t eating and couldn’t get an appointment anywhere else, and everyone was so helpful. Ali was one of our nurses and was so kind and friendly. I apologize, but I don’t remember the names of others we interacted with. We ended up not getting news we wanted - our cat wasn’t going to survive without extreme treatment, but Dr. Duchene was so kind and thoughtful in how she delivered this news. She was so helpful in suggesting palliative care for our old cat Ellie, and answered our many questions and comforted us very professionally. We ended up putting our cat down the next day because she still wouldn’t eat, but we really value that we got to spend another few hours with her. If you’re from VEG and reading this, I’d love it if you could pass along the info to the people mentioned- they really helped us through a tough time, and I want them to know how much of a positive difference they make in what they do, even when the outcomes are really tough.
Dec 31, 2024 · Seth MillerJamie, who met us at the door, was welcoming and kind and got us situated in a room with our cat as soon as we arrived. There were three nurses who worked with us throughout our visit (10/27 between 1-3pm) and I wish I remembered all their names because they were all so wonderful and made us feel calm and taken care of during this stressful time. Dr. Levin was also great at making sure we were in the loop for every step of our cat’s care. We can’t thank the team enough for taking a scary situation and helping us through it with grace and compassion.
Oct 28, 2024 · Hanna RosewoodVegas came in for emergency pyrometra surgery. She was quickly assessed, triaged, and cared for. All staff were efficient and professional! Dr. Hoffman took immediate action to comfort and work towards Vegas’s wellness. From the tech who weighed Vegas, to the tech taking blood, to each doctor in the room, I felt my pet and I were treated great! Then, to watch the same people work diligently as a team to try to save a cat was impressive. You can tell all the people there took pride in their work. My wife and I were asked about every level of care Vegas got and every questioned answers. We were even offered a room with a pull out bed if we wanted to stay with her all night. I highly recommend VEG for your vet needs!!
