Arrived to VEG around 11 am. Was seen quickly due to my dog’s circumstances. Dr. Burns and his team are quite amazing. I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. Everything was explained to me every step of the way. Dr. Burns discussed alternative solutions as needed. They really care about people and their fur babies here!

Jan 05, 2025 · Chichi “Chichi5” StanThe staff was incredibly kind and understanding. My outdoor cat, Mango, had developed a large abscess on her cheek, and I was very concerned for her. From the moment I walked into the building, the staff was attentive and quickly inquired about Mango's condition. Although it took some time for Mango to have her abscess drained, I appreciated that they prioritized pets with more severe conditions. They also carefully selected different antibiotics for Mango since she has kittens and provided us with the necessary medication. Overall, the environment is warm and positive, with the staff communicating effectively and working efficiently.
Aug 11, 2024 · ValI took my anxious girlie here last night because she was “acting off”. VEG was recommended to us by our trainer because they allow owners to remain with their animals. We were triaged immediately and the doctor came right over to evaluate her. Her exam was normal so we were given the option to order labs/imaging or monitor at home. We elected to watch her at home and she’s already back to playing and eating. Highly recommend this team! We will definitely be back!
Jan 15, 2025 · Jessica PalmerWe brought our puppy in because she vomited 3 times and stopped eating & drinking. No obvious signs of what was the cause so we decided to opt out of the $1500 testing and We paid for the ER visit and nausea medication $300. The next day within 24 we brought her back as she appeared lethargic and dehydrated. She saw the same vet both times. The vet wanted me to pay another $200 for the visit and additional $200 for miscellaneous (why are we paying $200 For a miscellaneous )and $1500 for testing and medication. The vet wanted her to take 2 different names of nausea but both medications were for nausea a total of $220. 1) The vet was told she stopped vomiting 2) If she was still vomiting she's a miniature and doesn't need 2 different types of the same medication. When she only needed The dog was not vomiting anymore because we paid for the medication the day before. We would've paid for the diagnostic which is why we brought her back but the rude Doctor saw our pet as a meal ticket and judged us. The Vet intentionally attempted to overcharge us. I would never trust this place again.
Jan 15, 2025 · Hughes HughesTonight was my third experience at VEG on H Street, NE. Everytime the service and care given to my fur baby was excellent! Loved being able to be with Blue while they tended to her issues. It definitely made me comfortable..no taking her in a back room and me not knowing exactly what they are doing to her. I also love the 24 hr service...care can't always wait until the next day. Kudos to the doctors and techs! I'm always comfortable putting my baby in your hands. Thanks!!
