I had been taking my little Shih Tzu, Holly, to this clinic ever since she was 6 months old when she was spayed. She never had any health problems until I took her on August 30, 2024 to this clinic for her yearly Bordetella shot. There must have been something wrong with the shot or the syringe was dirty because Holly developed a cough the next day and every time she coughed she tried to project something up. I thought a piece of her Rachel Ray Nutrish soup bone was stuck in her throat and she was trying to expell it. The coughing continued, but it wasn't until roughly 2AM on Friday, September 6th, that she couldn't catch her breath to the point where she collapsed in my arms. I gently shook her and breathed into her mouth which seemed to revive her. I called this clinic as soon as they opened and insisted on bringing Holly in to be examined. They didn't think they could do anything for her because they didn't have any oxygen to give her, but they said to bring her in and they'd see what they could do. Well they dropped the ball . They gave her an X-ray and said she had an enlarged heart and some inflammation in her lungs. They gave me an antibiotic which I was to give Holly twice a day for 14 days. Why couldn't they have given her a shot of anitbiotics there or a steroid shot to reduce the swelling in her lungs? They did neither and as a reuslt, 4 hours after we got home from The Veterinary Clinic of Indiana, my little dog died. I was on the phone with an emergency hospital when she passed. I hold this clinic liable for the death of my Holly and if I ever have another dog, I will NOT take them to this clinic. If you don;t want your pet to end up like my Holly, find another Veterinary clinic. They wouldn't even refund a portion of the $300. they charged me that day.

Based on the limited information, describing the specific environment of the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana requires drawing inferences from the contrasting customer reviews. One reviewer noted that "from first glance place was very clean," suggesting that maintaining a hygienic environment is a priority for the clinic. Cleanliness is a crucial aspect of any pet hospital to prevent the spread of infections and ensure a safe space for animals receiving care. While details about the overall ambiance, waiting areas, and examination rooms are not provided, a clean and organized setting typically contributes to a more positive perception of the facility.
Information regarding the comprehensive range of services offered by the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana is not fully detailed in the provided reviews. However, as a pet hospital, it is expected to provide a variety of essential veterinary services. These commonly include routine wellness examinations and preventative care, such as vaccinations (as indicated by the Bordetella shot mentioned in a review) and parasite control. Diagnostic services, including the use of X-rays as mentioned in one of the reviews, are also likely available to aid in the diagnosis of various conditions. Medical treatment for illnesses and injuries would be a fundamental aspect of their services. Depending on the clinic's resources and the expertise of the veterinary staff, surgical procedures, dental care, and consultations on nutrition and behavior may also be offered.
The features of the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana can be gleaned from the customer experiences shared in the reviews, which present a mixed perspective. One positive feature highlighted is the professionalism and clear communication of the staff, with a reviewer noting that the staff was "very professional and well spoken" and that the doctors and staff "put us at ease." This suggests a commitment to clear and effective communication with pet owners, which is essential for building trust and ensuring informed decisions about pet care.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience, detailing a tragic outcome following a routine vaccination. This review raises serious concerns about the clinic's diagnostic capabilities, treatment protocols, and emergency preparedness. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of immediate treatment options (such as oxygen or injectable medications) and the perceived inadequacy of the care provided, ultimately leading to the pet's death shortly after returning home. This account also mentions a lack of a partial refund, which the reviewer found unsatisfactory. This negative experience suggests potential limitations in the clinic's resources or protocols for handling critical cases, as perceived by this particular pet owner.
It is crucial to present both perspectives objectively. The positive review indicates a clean environment and professional staff who can create a reassuring experience. Conversely, the negative review raises significant concerns about the clinic's ability to handle potentially serious post-vaccination complications and the overall quality of care in that specific instance. These contrasting experiences underscore the importance of considering multiple sources of information and individual circumstances when evaluating a veterinary clinic.
Promotional information for the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana is not provided in the given text. Pet hospitals may offer various promotions to attract new clients or encourage regular preventative care. To obtain information about any current promotions or special services offered by the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana, it would be necessary to contact them directly via phone or visit their location. Their website or social media channels, if available, might also provide details on any ongoing promotions or wellness plans.
In conclusion, the Veterinary Clinic Of Indiana in Indiana, PA, operates as a pet hospital serving the local community. While one customer review praises the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff, another review recounts a deeply negative experience with a critical outcome. These contrasting accounts highlight the challenges in forming a definitive overall assessment based on limited and conflicting information. Local users considering this clinic should weigh the available feedback and may want to inquire further about their protocols for handling various medical situations, their facilities, and any current promotions they might have.
