DO NOT TAKE YOUR CATS THERE. I am a trained cat groomer for 8 years, I have worked with cats for even longer, and there's ONE policy that was taught as the most important rule. You NEVER put slip leads around a cat's neck. Well, I watched the vet tech put one on each of my cat's necks when it was their turn. If they booked it off the table, serious damage would've been done to them. Serious retraining on the safe handling of cats NEEDS to be done. I will NEVER take my cats here, regardless of cost. Vet staff complained about the grooming staff right next door, which was even more obnoxious to deal with as a client, and incredibly unprofessional as staff. The whole process was incredibly unclear and beginner-UNfriendly, myself and a number of other clients stood in line for 20-30 minutes believing we were doing the right thing, but then learned we were supposed to check in with someone. And once we checked in, we were sent to the BACK of the line for another 20-30 minutes. I had two cat carriers that I was holding THE WHOLE TIME (cats like it higher up, so having them on the floor would've increased stress), so today my shoulders are in extreme pain. Never take your cats here.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 816 Washington St, Middletown, CT 06457, USA. As suggested by its name, Vetco likely specializes in providing vaccination services for pets, positioning itself within the Pet Hospital category by offering a focused aspect of preventative care. Based on the available customer reviews, we can attempt to understand the environment, services, and features of this clinic for local users in Middletown, CT.
The environment at Vetco Vaccination Clinic, based on the customer reviews, appears to have some areas of concern. One reviewer, identifying as a trained cat groomer, described witnessing a vet tech placing slip leads around each of their cats' necks, which they stated is against a fundamental safety rule for cats. This raises questions about the staff's training in safe and species-appropriate animal handling, at least in the case of felines. Another review mentioned Vet staff complaining about the grooming staff next door, which was perceived as unprofessional for clients. This suggests a potentially discordant internal environment that could indirectly affect the client experience. Lastly, one customer found the whole process "incredibly unclear and beginner-UNfriendly," citing a confusing check-in procedure and long waiting times, which contributed to a negative experience.
Given the name "Vetco Vaccination Clinic," the primary service offered is likely vaccinations for pets. This aligns with a focus on preventative care. However, one review mentions a vet tech and a process beyond just administering shots, implying that they likely handle the necessary steps involved in a vaccination clinic, such as record-keeping and perhaps brief health assessments prior to vaccination. The negative review regarding cat handling did occur during what seems to be a vaccination appointment. Conversely, a brief positive review noted a "very professional and easy process in and out in no time," suggesting that for some, the core service of vaccination is delivered efficiently. To determine the full scope of services beyond vaccinations, such as potential deworming or microchipping offered at a vaccination clinic, direct inquiry would be advisable.
The features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as perceived through the customer reviews, present a mixed bag. One potential positive feature, according to one reviewer, is the possibility of a "very professional and easy process" with a quick turnaround. However, significant concerns were raised by other reviewers. The alleged unsafe handling of cats using slip leads around their necks is a serious negative feature. The unprofessional inter-staff complaints overheard by a client also detract from a positive experience. Furthermore, the unclear process and long waiting times reported by one customer indicate potential inefficiencies in their operational flow, especially for newcomers. The fact that multiple reviewers explicitly advised against taking cats there is a strong indicator of a perceived negative feature regarding feline handling.
For local users in Middletown, CT, Vetco Vaccination Clinic offers a seemingly straightforward option for pet vaccinations. The potential for a quick and professional experience might be appealing for routine shots. However, the serious concerns raised about the handling of cats, the unprofessional staff behavior, and the unclear processes should give cat owners significant pause. If you are a cat owner in Middletown, the strong warnings from multiple reviewers about bringing your feline companions to this clinic warrant careful consideration.
The provided text does not include any information about promotional offers at Vetco Vaccination Clinic. The focus of the reviews is on the service delivery and staff conduct.
In summary, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Middletown, CT, appears to be primarily focused on providing pet vaccinations. While one customer found the process professional and efficient, several others reported negative experiences. Critical concerns were raised regarding the potentially unsafe handling of cats by using slip leads around their necks, unprofessional behavior of staff complaining about colleagues, and unclear processes leading to confusion and long waits. For local users, especially cat owners, these reviews present significant cautions that should be considered when choosing a vaccination provider.
For local users in Middletown, CT, Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located at 816 Washington St. You can contact them at (860) 343-0229 or +1 860-343-0229. Given the strongly negative feedback regarding cat handling and process clarity, it would be prudent for potential clients, especially cat owners, to inquire specifically about their handling procedures and what to expect during a visit before scheduling an appointment.

Apr 18, 2025 · alfredo riveraFirst time taking my cat to Petco for vaccines. Vet and assistant were amazing and made sure my pet only got the vaccines she absolutely needed. I will Definitely be back!
Oct 08, 2024 · Jo DeIt was a little unorganized and a bit chaotic. The vet and the vet tech were excellent. Also, I thought that it would be much cheaper than going to my own vet, but it wasn’t, it was the same as going to my own vet, but I get more going to my own vet.
Sep 17, 2024 · Terri SteinGood Service, yet I was charged extra for another appointment. The communication is terrible and the staff don’t take accountability for that. Customer service did not help or support the situation either! I would not recommend.
