I went for the store. All Petcos usually have a saltwater section. Disappointed this was not available here. Also you had to walk around three piles of dog poop just to get inside.

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 2373 W Ridge Rd, Greece, NY 14626, USA. Vetco Vaccination Clinic provides a focused range of preventative veterinary care services, primarily centered around vaccinations for dogs and cats. Operating within a retail environment, Vetco aims to offer a convenient and potentially more affordable option for pet owners in the Greece, New York area to ensure their pets receive essential immunizations. You can contact them at (585) 227-2180 or +1 585-227-2180 for inquiries about their services and hours of operation.

As a vaccination clinic situated within a larger retail store, the environment at Vetco Vaccination Clinic is likely geared towards efficiency and accessibility for pet owners seeking quick and convenient preventative care. While specific details about the clinic's ambiance are not provided, it is reasonable to expect a functional space designed to facilitate the administration of vaccinations and potentially other basic wellness services. The focus is typically on providing these services in a readily available setting, often within the operating hours of the host retail store.

The primary service offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic is the administration of essential vaccinations for dogs and cats. These vaccinations are crucial for protecting pets from various common and potentially serious infectious diseases. The specific vaccines available may include those for rabies, distemper, parvovirus, feline leukemia, and others, depending on the needs of the pet and local regulations. Ensuring your pet's vaccination status is up-to-date is a fundamental aspect of responsible pet ownership, and Vetco offers a convenient avenue for this preventative care.

In addition to vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic may also offer other basic wellness services such as deworming treatments and microchipping. These services often complement vaccination protocols and contribute to the overall health and well-being of your pet. For a comprehensive list of the services provided at the Greece location, it is advisable to contact them directly.

However, the available customer reviews provide a mixed perspective on the experience at this particular Vetco Vaccination Clinic. One review, while seemingly intended for the host store (Petco), mentions a lack of a saltwater section and an unpleasant experience due to dog waste outside the entrance. While not directly related to the veterinary services, this feedback may indirectly reflect on the overall upkeep and environment of the shared location.

A more direct review of the Vetco services at this location describes a "terrible experience." The reviewer, a regular customer at a different Vetco location, brought their timid dog to the Greece clinic due to unavailability at their usual vet. They recount a stark contrast in the handling of their dog compared to their usual Vetco, where the veterinarians are described as patient, gentle, and using treats to calm the dog. At the Greece location, the reviewer reports that the staff did not attempt to greet or calm their dog and immediately focused on a flag in the dog's profile indicating the need for special precautions, which the owners were unaware of.

The reviewer further states that they were shocked when asked if their dog had ever bitten anyone, as the dog had never even growled. Despite this, they were forced to muzzle their dog, something they had never had to do before. The reviewer attributes their dog's fear to the staff's handling, suggesting that a more patient and friendly approach might have been more appropriate. This negative experience led the reviewer to state they would never return to any Vetco again.

These reviews highlight the importance of considering not only the convenience and potential affordability of a vaccination clinic but also the quality of care and the staff's approach to handling animals, especially those with timid temperaments. The stark contrast in experience reported by the reviewer between two different Vetco locations underscores that the quality of service can vary.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available online for the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Greece, NY. Vaccination clinics sometimes offer package deals or discounts on certain services, particularly during specific times of the year. To inquire about any current promotions or special offers, it is recommended to contact the clinic directly using the provided phone numbers.

It is important to remember that Vetco Vaccination Clinics typically focus on preventative care and may not offer the full range of medical and surgical services available at a traditional veterinary hospital. For illnesses, injuries, or the need for more comprehensive veterinary care, a full-service animal hospital would be the appropriate choice. Vetco primarily serves as a convenient option for routine vaccinations and basic wellness services.

In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Greece, New York, offers a convenient option for pet owners seeking routine vaccinations. However, the available customer feedback presents a concerning account of a negative experience regarding animal handling and staff interaction. While the clinic may offer affordable and accessible vaccination services, it is crucial for pet owners, especially those with timid or sensitive animals, to be aware of the potential for varying service quality. For detailed information about their current services, hours, and any potential promotions, and to make an informed decision about your pet's care, contacting Vetco Vaccination Clinic directly at (585) 227-2180 or +1 585-227-2180 is recommended.

Absolutely terrible experience at this vetco. I typically bring my dog, Mousse, to the vetco on Hylan Drive but they didn’t have availability so I settled for this location. Mousse can be very timid and cower when approached in an unfriendly manner, which again is why I typically go to Hylan because the veterinarians there go extra slow with him, pet him, speak kindly to him and give him treats to help calm him down. The vets at this location did NONE of the above. They first came out and asked us if he has any special handling and my boyfriend and I were both confused, and said no. They then asked if he’s ever bitten anyone, which was an absolute shock to us because he has never even growled at anyone before, not even when at the vet when he’s scared. They proceeded with telling us that there was a flag in his profile stating that he needs to handled with special precautions. They forced us to muzzle him because of this - keep in mind I’ve NEVER had to muzzle my dog. He’s never so much as looked at anyone wrong. Had the staff actually taken a second to greet my dog instead of man handling him, he might not have been so terrified. I go to the vetco at Hylan all the time and never not once have they asked us to muzzle him. I will NEVER be going back to a vetco again.

I did not use this service. However, while in the store shopping, I stopped and pet 2 dogs waiting to be seen. Their owners were very pleased with the service. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful. I may use this service in the future as I'm not to happy with my own vet.

First time at this location, first time using VetCo services. My normal vet couldn't get my dog in for 2 months for a rabies shot. Got an apt on saturday everything went smooth and I was in and out the door in 10 min. The employees where very nice, quick and friendly to my dog🐕🐾. The store was clean and organized. I Will be using Vetco services again. Thank you !!
