Absolutely ridiculous, I had an appointment waited 25 minutes to even be greeted and was told the system was down then waited I was line for 45mins before finally giving up thrre were still 3 people in front of us it would've taken wayyy too long. We're just standing there in the aisle no chairs or waiting room they're doing the stuff in the back corner of the store. Like in an aisle next to cat litter and stuff. No chairs to sit in while I wait for an eternity. No communication from the staff that they're behind schedule no care or anything from them. I left, will never return, all of the expletives i can think of ran thru my head from this terrible experience. Thanks for nothing petco

Dec 27, 2024 · Ben StewartHad an appointment, arrived 20 min early, after waiting one hour, found out they canceled my appointment, no wonder it took so long to see my pet. Hire someone who knows how to use the tablet to check ppl in!!!!!
Apr 13, 2025 · kenny fI was extremely disappointed by how inept the staff was at handling pets. When your profession requires you to be skilled with providing care to pets, you should be able to adequately administer that care within reasonable means. We had a muzzle on our dog as a precautionary action and they acted as if they could not offer him vaccines or bloodwork because they thought he would be too aggressive. He growled a bit, but never once moved his head to antagonize anyone. They said that they feared he would thrash, which he did not and they refused to even attempt to complete his bloodwork due to this. He's a dog and does not enjoy strangers touching him, which is fairly common. He did not pose any threat or even attempt to behave aggressively despite the "under his breath" growl. They also stated that they could not provide care to our dog if an owner had to hold him in any way. Dogs trust their owners more than anyone, so I'm not sure what kind of rule says that dogs cant be supported by their owners while receiving vaccines and bloodwork. We were charged full price for the all of the services that were requested and they refused to provide all of the services that were part of the "package" just because they are inept to care for and comfort the animals that are receiving services.

Dr. Melissa Nelson told me that they were eligible for a three year vaccine, but when I opened the emailed information I had only gotten a one year vaccine. I called Vetco and they directed me to call the vet. She never responded. Terrible service!

The only thing that really got me is the fact the vet continued to tell me she didn’t like prong collars after she could tell I was visibly uncomfortable. She was genuinely upset my pup was wearing one. We have seen nothing but great success from both of our dogs wearing one. Also our highly skilled trainer recommended them to us.
