Vetco Vaccination Clinic

We went to the vaccination clinic this past Sunday. I scheduled very last minute for a rabies vaccine for my two dogs. The vet and staff were kind, thorough, and accommodating. With 5 minute appointment slots I was expecting to feel rushed, but they took their time with my dogs.

The veterinarian and technicians were so nice and even affectionate to my dog.He required parasite testing. The results came back negative even though the day I gathered the stool sample I found worms crawling in and out of his rectum. Clearly he had tapeworms. The report they sent me said everything came back negative. They apparently did not run the tests but got paid for it. There is no one to call for questions. Instead, they want you to come back in for another appointment. I definitely do NOT recommend VetCo

DON'T TRUST THEM. Vetco vaccine clinic seriously put my dog's life at risk and I'm EXTREMELY furious about this. They told me my dog was FULLY PROTECTED for a year. Come to find out, THEY NEVER GAVE HER A RABIES VACCINE!!!! Backstory: I came in to vetco for my puppies shots (initial ones done at our regular clinic, but was trying to save money). I brought in ALL my puppies past vaccine records for vetco to review first. They then did their vaccines and told us to come back in 4 weeks for the "final set." We did so. And again, they did their vaccines and said she was good to go for a year. I TRUSTED THEM. When they told me my dog was fully protected for the year, I trusted their word. A month later we go to our regular clinic to get our dog spayed. They asked for all her vaccine records from vetco, which I provided. They then told me, she never had a rabies vaccine and needed it asap! I checked all records from vetco, and sure enough they only did DA2PP and ringworm both times we came in. And there is no one to call or email to file a complaint. No "management" or staff to express concerns to by phone/email. They provide no options for complaints/concerns and NOW I KNOW WHY. They only have people who answer phones to schedule appointments and provide records. When I told them what I happened I got "oh, Im sorry." THAT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH!! I was told I would need to go in to petco on a day vetco staff is there and talk to them. Nope. Why would I speak to the idiots who did this? I want to speak to someone ABOVE THEM. This was an error that could have killed my dog. Period. Educate yourself on what vaccines your pet needs, before EVER considering vetco. Unfortunately you cannot depend on them to get it right.

The staff was amazing, the wait time kinda was long, but our puppy lived the vet, she was beyond amazing. Can't wait to see her again...
