Lying staff. I made a rabies vaccination appointment online for my cat. They lied to me saying the shot was $135 and that he was due for other shots. I declined them because he is an inside cat and doesn't need them. She said said they would throw in 6 months of flea prevention for free for getting the rabies... "I'm giving you a discount so if they ask or saying anything say you had a bad experience and I threw in the prevention and the discounts" (said by the woman checking us in). They don't give you a receipt stating what you're paying and when they do it's an email later on. I open my statement and see that I've been lied to. The rabies vaccination was only $22 and the supposedly free flea meds were about $150. Can't even return the flea medication even though I've been lied to and charged over $100 when I only came in for a rabies vaccine. My total came to $173 when all I wanted was the $22 vaccine

As a local Pet Hospital, Vetco Vaccination Clinic likely provides a clinical environment dedicated to the health and well-being of your animals. While specific details about the clinic's ambiance and facilities are not explicitly provided in the given information, a typical pet hospital setting includes examination rooms for consultations and treatments, potentially a reception area for check-in and waiting, and possibly designated spaces for administering vaccinations and other procedures. The presence of warm, caring, and knowledgeable staff, as highlighted in one of the customer reviews, suggests a focus on creating a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners.

The primary service explicitly mentioned is vaccination. Vetco Vaccination Clinic offers rabies vaccinations for cats and likely provides a broader range of vaccinations for various pets, including puppies. Vaccinations are a cornerstone of preventive veterinary care, protecting animals from potentially serious and even fatal diseases. For new pet owners, particularly those with puppies, the clinic appears to offer a supportive experience, with staff taking the time to handle the animals gently and communicate effectively with owners, as indicated by the positive feedback regarding a puppy's first shots.

In addition to vaccinations, the clinic may offer other related services commonly found in pet hospitals. One customer review mentions flea prevention medication, suggesting that Vetco Vaccination Clinic might also provide preventative treatments for common parasites. However, the same review raises concerns about the transparency and cost of these additional services, indicating a discrepancy between quoted and charged prices, as well as issues with receipts and return policies. It's important for pet owners to have clear and transparent communication regarding the costs of all services and products before proceeding.

Based on the available information, the features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic appear to include the provision of essential vaccinations, potentially other preventative medications, and a staff described by some as warm, caring, and knowledgeable. The convenience of the location within Tacoma and the availability of phone contact numbers are also practical features for local pet owners seeking veterinary care.

Regarding promotional information, one customer review mentions a verbal offer of "6 months of flea prevention for free" associated with a rabies vaccination. However, this offer was reportedly not accurately reflected in the final charges, highlighting the importance of obtaining clear written documentation for any promotional deals or discounts offered. Potential local users should inquire about any current promotions directly with the clinic and ensure all terms and conditions are clearly understood and documented.

It is crucial for prospective clients to consider the mixed feedback received from previous customers. While one review praises the vet and staff for their warmth, care, and knowledge, another details a negative experience involving alleged misrepresentation of prices, discrepancies in billing, and difficulties with returns. This divergence in experiences underscores the importance of clear communication, transparent pricing practices, and the provision of detailed receipts for all services and products rendered by any veterinary care provider.

For local users in Tacoma seeking a Pet Hospital for vaccinations and potentially other pet health needs, Vetco Vaccination Clinic presents itself as an option. However, in light of the varied customer experiences, it is advisable for new clients to proactively engage in open communication with the clinic staff regarding all aspects of their pet's care, including the specific services being provided, the associated costs, and the clinic's policies on billing, receipts, and returns. Ensuring a clear understanding of these details can help foster a positive and trustworthy relationship between pet owners and their chosen veterinary care provider.

When considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic or any Pet Hospital, local users may want to inquire about the following:

  • The range of vaccination services offered for different types of pets.
  • The availability of preventative medications for fleas, ticks, and other parasites, along with their pricing.
  • The clinic's general examination and consultation procedures and associated fees.
  • Their policies regarding payment, the provision of detailed receipts, and any return policies for medications or products.
  • The qualifications and experience of the veterinary staff.
  • The clinic's hours of operation and appointment scheduling procedures.

By seeking clarity on these aspects, local pet owners can make informed decisions about their pet's healthcare needs and choose a Pet Hospital that aligns with their expectations for quality, transparency, and care. While Vetco Vaccination Clinic is listed as a local option, it is always recommended to conduct thorough research and potentially seek multiple opinions to ensure the best possible care for your furry companions.

In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, categorized as a Pet Hospital in Tacoma, WA, offers vaccination services and potentially other pet health-related products like flea prevention. While some customers have reported positive experiences with the staff's care and knowledge, others have raised concerns regarding billing transparency and customer service. Local users are encouraged to consider these varied perspectives and engage in thorough communication with the clinic to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
