I took my kitten named Menace in on 10/05/24 for routine shots. He is a rescue kitten that I found in a Metro Park that despite his origin is fairly good natured. The staff on this day were absurdly heavy handed in their handling. They scruffed my kitten and held him tightly, flipping him over on his back for vaccinations and a blood draw. They were so rough with him, a kitten around 18 weeks of age, that now when I went to use to same carrier he had a very intense fear reaction to his carrier. Heavy panting, crying, attempts to escape. After moving him to a different carrier, he relaxed. The handling of the animals by this vet and their team was sloppy, rough and unprofessional. A bad experience at the vet will last a lifetime. We will not be using this clinic again.

As a facility categorized under "Pet Hospital," Vetco Vaccination Clinic likely focuses on preventative care, particularly vaccinations, to safeguard the health of your pets. While the provided information doesn't offer explicit details about the clinic's environment or a comprehensive list of all services, we can infer some aspects based on its name and general practices of similar establishments. Typically, a vaccination clinic provides a clean and organized space for administering essential vaccines to dogs, cats, and potentially other small animals. The environment is usually designed to be efficient and focused on the quick and effective delivery of these preventative treatments.
The core service offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as indicated by its name, is likely the administration of various vaccines crucial for protecting pets against common and potentially serious diseases. These may include core vaccines recommended for all pets, as well as lifestyle vaccines tailored to an animal's specific needs and risk factors. Beyond vaccinations, such clinics may also offer related preventative services such as deworming, microchipping, and basic health check-ups to ensure pets are healthy enough to receive their vaccinations. It's possible they also provide guidance on parasite prevention, including flea and tick control.
To gain a deeper understanding of the services and environment at Vetco Vaccination Clinic, it's beneficial to consider the experiences shared by other pet owners. The provided reviews offer firsthand accounts that can shed light on the clinic's operational practices and staff interactions. One customer who brought their kitten in for routine shots on October 5th, 2024, reported a negative experience regarding the handling of their pet. According to the review, the staff was "absurdly heavy handed" and used forceful restraint techniques such as scruffing and flipping the kitten onto its back for vaccinations and a blood draw. This customer expressed concern that the rough handling caused the kitten to develop a strong fear reaction towards its carrier and described the team's handling as "sloppy, rough and unprofessional," stating they would not return to the clinic.
Another review highlights a situation where a dog's vaccination appointment had to be postponed due to the pet becoming overly stressed by the number of people and animals present upon arrival. The reviewer noted that their dog developed a high temperature and could not receive the scheduled vaccines even after attempts to cool him down. This customer recommended adhering closely to appointment times and suggested that the clinic may not be equipped for extensive care for multiple walk-in animals simultaneously. This feedback suggests that the clinic might experience periods of high traffic and that pet owners should be mindful of their scheduled appointment times to minimize stress for their animals.
Considering these reviews, it's important for potential customers to be aware of the reported experiences. While one review praises the efficiency of vaccination clinics for straightforward preventative care, the other raises concerns about the handling of animals and the potential for a stressful environment due to appointment scheduling and walk-in clients. These contrasting perspectives underscore the importance of individual pet temperaments and the specific needs of each animal when choosing a veterinary care provider.
As a platform dedicated to connecting local users with pet care services, we aim to present an objective overview based on available information. The features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, based on its category and name, likely include efficient and focused vaccination services, potentially at competitive prices compared to full-service veterinary hospitals. The convenience of a clinic dedicated to vaccinations can be appealing for pet owners seeking routine preventative care without the need for more comprehensive medical services.

Vaccination clinics sometimes offer package deals for a series of vaccinations or discounts during certain periods. Nov 19, 2024 · Susan HauckWe arrived 10 minutes before our appointment and due to the walk ins/ additional animals folks had, our dog became worked up with the amount of people/animals and had a high temp and even after water and trying to cool him off, his vaccines could not be administered. I recommend adhering close to scheduled appointment times and refrain from people walking in with multiple animals on one appointment thinking it is an actual vet clinic looking for extensive care for their animal.
