I am a first-time customer to the vet clinic. The people were great. I found it unsanitary and unprofessional that these workers did not have a private room. The store has a room for grooming, and a room for training. As a pet owner for 50 years the health care of my animals is top priority. If I'm getting charged the same amount as at my vet, I will go back to getting wellness vet care and shots at my veterinarian. Very disappointed customer. I will not be back.

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 160 Sayebrook Pkwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588, USA, serving the Myrtle Beach community. As a Pet Hospital specializing in vaccinations, Vetco aims to provide accessible preventative care for your animal companions.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Vetco Vaccination Clinic appears to be a point of concern for at least one customer. This reviewer, a first-time visitor, noted the absence of a private room for consultations and procedures, finding it unsanitary and unprofessional. They contrasted this with the presence of dedicated rooms for grooming and training within the same store, implying that healthcare services lacked similar privacy. This suggests that the clinic might operate within a larger retail space, potentially lacking the dedicated and private examination rooms typically found in a traditional veterinary hospital setting. This aspect of the environment may be a factor for pet owners who prioritize a more private and dedicated healthcare setting for their animals.
The services offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as the name suggests, primarily focus on vaccinations for pets. Vaccinations are a critical component of preventative veterinary care, protecting animals from a range of infectious diseases. While the reviews do not provide a comprehensive list of all potential services, it can be inferred that they offer core vaccinations for common pets like dogs and cats. It is possible they may also offer other preventative services such as deworming or basic health screenings often associated with vaccination appointments. However, the emphasis appears to be on providing a convenient location for pet owners to get their animals vaccinated.
The pricing and perceived value of the services at Vetco Vaccination Clinic are areas of contention in the provided reviews. One reviewer explicitly states that the vaccinations are twice the cost of a regular veterinarian. They also allege false advertising regarding a "free visit" that resulted in a charge. This suggests that the cost-effectiveness of Vetco's services may be questionable for some pet owners, especially when compared to the pricing at a full-service veterinary clinic. The reviewer expresses disappointment and indicates they would prefer to return to their regular veterinarian for wellness care and vaccinations if the cost is comparable.
Features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, based on the limited and critical feedback, include:
- Focus on Vaccinations: The primary service appears to be the administration of pet vaccinations.
- Location within a Retail Space: The lack of a private room suggests the clinic may operate within a larger store, potentially offering convenience but lacking the dedicated environment of a traditional vet hospital.
- Potentially Higher Pricing: One reviewer claims vaccination costs are significantly higher than at a regular veterinarian.
- Concerns about Transparency: Allegations of false advertising regarding a "free visit" raise questions about the clarity of their pricing and promotional offers.
- Mixed Customer Experience: While one first-time customer found the people "great" initially, their overall experience was negative due to the environment.
The negative feedback regarding the environment and pricing raises concerns about the overall value proposition of Vetco Vaccination Clinic for some pet owners. The lack of a private examination room may be a significant drawback for those who expect a more traditional and private healthcare setting for their pets. Additionally, the alleged higher cost of vaccinations and the issue with the "free visit" promotion could deter budget-conscious pet owners.
Currently, the only promotional information mentioned is the alleged "free visit" advertised online, which one reviewer claims was falsely advertised as they were charged. This discrepancy highlights the importance of verifying any promotional offers directly with the clinic and understanding the terms and conditions associated with them. No other promotional information is available in the provided reviews.
In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Myrtle Beach, SC, offers vaccination services for pets, operating within a retail environment that may lack the private examination rooms of a traditional veterinary hospital. Customer reviews raise concerns about the pricing of vaccinations, with one reviewer claiming they are significantly higher than at a regular veterinarian. There is also an allegation of false advertising regarding a "free visit." While one first-time customer initially found the staff pleasant, the lack of a private room led to overall dissatisfaction. Local users considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic for their pet's vaccinations should be aware of these potential drawbacks, particularly regarding the environment and cost, and are advised to inquire about pricing and any promotional offers in detail before their visit. Comparing the cost and environment with those of a full-service veterinary hospital may help pet owners determine if Vetco Vaccination Clinic meets their needs and expectations for their pet's preventative care.

Feb 14, 2025 · Joanne GordonThis store is a rip off and the vetco false advertises. If you go online it says a free visit however then they charge you. The vaccinations are twice of a regular veterinarian. Very deceiving, I recommend you save your time and money and go elsewhere.
Feb 03, 2025 · BeckyThis is a great service. The Techs and Vet were wonderful and patient. The reason for my 4 not 5 rating is that I was going to pay with my Care Credit but was told they don't take it. Please change this as rhis is a medical visit and that's what Care Credit is for. I'm sure there is a way. Otherwise I am very happy wirh this service. Thank you.
Jul 12, 2024 · Sharon BobiThe vet was wonderful, but I am disappointed that my dog didn’t get the same treatment and attention as he did last year. Last year the vet was able to give him a very good checkup, but this year that was not offered by Petco. It’s great that you offer vaccinations, but please go back to total patient care.
Jan 16, 2024 · Elaine DonnellanHour wait for a makeshift setup in an aisle back of a busy store for a 5 minute checkup and an oral Bordetella vaccination. Not good with a 95 lb black lab that has anxiety around other dogs, watching dog after dog go by. Not the best setup. Chaotic and disorganized. Vet techs were friendly and apologetic and Dr. Grimmett worked well with our Bentley. Kudos to the staff. Customers and their furry friends were stacking up and no place to go. Would have preferred to wait in my vehicle and had them text me when ready. Not sure if I will use this service again.
