Staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of treats and foods. My only complaint is that the store is dirty. Floor is never washed, and it's obvious by the pee spots that never go away. If it wasn't a health issue for all the animals in and out I wouldn't care about the floor. In a place where we bring our puppies that haven't finished vaccinations it is a concern.

Based on the single customer review available, this introduction will provide an objective overview of what you might expect from Vetco Vaccination Clinic. The review highlights positive aspects such as friendly and helpful staff and a selection of treats and foods, but also raises a significant concern regarding the cleanliness of the facility.
Environment and Atmosphere:
According to the customer review, the staff at Vetco Vaccination Clinic are "super friendly and helpful," which suggests a positive and welcoming atmosphere in terms of customer service. This indicates that pet owners can likely expect to be greeted warmly and receive assistance from the staff. The availability of a "great selection of treats and foods" also implies that the clinic operates somewhat like a retail space in addition to its vaccination services, offering convenience for pet owners looking to purchase these items.
However, the review raises a notable concern about the cleanliness of the store. The customer states that "the store is dirty" and that the "floor is never washed," with visible "pee spots that never go away." This paints a picture of a facility where hygiene may be a significant issue. The reviewer explicitly mentions the potential health risks associated with this lack of cleanliness, particularly for young, unvaccinated puppies that are brought into the store.
This feedback suggests a dichotomy in the environment: while the staff interaction and product availability might be positive, the overall cleanliness of the physical space appears to be a significant drawback, potentially impacting the health and safety of visiting animals.
Services Offered:
Given the name "Vetco Vaccination Clinic," the primary service offered is likely the administration of vaccinations for pets. Vaccinations are a crucial aspect of preventative veterinary care, protecting animals from various infectious diseases. Typically, a vaccination clinic would offer core vaccines recommended for most pets, as well as non-core vaccines based on individual needs and risk factors. These might include:
- Core Vaccines for Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus (often combined in a DHPP or DA2PP vaccine).
- Non-Core Vaccines for Dogs: Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Leptospirosis, Lyme disease, Canine Influenza.
- Core Vaccines for Cats: Rabies, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (often combined in an FVRCP vaccine).
- Non-Core Vaccines for Cats: Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Chlamydia.
In addition to vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, based on the customer review, also offers a retail component with a "great selection of treats and foods." This suggests that pet owners might be able to purchase nutritional products and rewards for their animals at this location. The availability of these items can be a convenient feature for clients visiting for vaccinations.
It is possible that the clinic also offers other basic preventative services such as:
- Deworming: Administration of medications to prevent or treat internal parasites.
- Flea and Tick Prevention: Providing recommendations and potentially administering initial doses of flea and tick control products.
- Microchipping: Offering a permanent identification service for pets.
- Basic Health Checks: Performing a brief examination before vaccination to ensure the pet is healthy enough to receive the vaccines.
To obtain a comprehensive list of the services provided by Vetco Vaccination Clinic, it is recommended to contact them directly.
Features and Approach:
Based on the single customer review, key features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic appear to include:
- Friendly and Helpful Staff: The reviewer specifically praises the staff for their friendliness and helpfulness, suggesting a positive customer service orientation.
- Retail Selection: The availability of a "great selection of treats and foods" indicates that the clinic offers more than just vaccination services, providing a convenient shopping option for pet owners.
However, a significant concern raised by the reviewer is the lack of cleanliness, which could be a major drawback for pet owners concerned about hygiene, especially when bringing in young or immunocompromised animals.
The name "Vaccination Clinic" suggests a primary focus on providing vaccinations in an accessible manner. The addition of retail items might be intended to offer added convenience to their clients.
Promotional Information:
The provided information does not contain any explicit promotional content such as discounts for new clients, package deals for vaccinations, or special offers on treats and foods. Vaccination clinics sometimes have promotions related to specific times of the year or bundled services. To inquire about any current promotions or special offers at Vetco Vaccination Clinic, it is best to contact them directly.
Customer Experiences:
The single available customer review presents a mixed experience. The positive aspects include the friendly and helpful staff and the good selection of treats and foods. However, the significant negative aspect is the reported lack of cleanliness, specifically concerning the unwashed floors and persistent urine spots. This is a serious concern, especially for a facility that caters to animals, as it can pose a health risk, particularly to young and unvaccinated puppies.
The reviewer explicitly states that they would overlook the cleanliness issue if it were not a potential health hazard for the animals visiting the store, highlighting the severity of this concern. This feedback should be taken seriously by potential customers when considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic.
Conclusion:
Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Phillipsburg, NJ, offers vaccination services and a selection of pet treats and foods, with staff described as friendly and helpful. This could be appealing to pet owners looking for convenient access to these services and products. However, a significant concern has been raised regarding the cleanliness of the facility, with a specific mention of unwashed floors and persistent urine spots, which could pose a health risk to visiting animals, especially young and unvaccinated pets.
As a local user considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic, it is important to weigh the positive feedback about the staff and product selection against the serious concern about the cleanliness of the environment. If you prioritize a friendly service and the convenience of purchasing treats and food during your visit, Vetco might be an option. However, if hygiene and the potential risk to your pet's health from a dirty environment are primary concerns, you may want to inquire directly with the clinic about their cleaning protocols and address the issues raised in the review before making a decision.
It would be prudent to contact Vetco Vaccination Clinic at (908) 454-6381 to ask about their hygiene practices and to get more information about their vaccination services and the selection of treats and foods they offer. Observing the clinic environment firsthand during a visit, if possible, could also help you assess whether it meets your standards for cleanliness and safety for your pet.
