The Manchester ,Ct . store has amazing staff throughout including staff at the Petco Clinic.Took my kitten there for her 1st shots. They explained what shots I was getting for my Furbaby. Showed me exactly how much I was paying, since they are the professionals . Paid at the front of the store & received an email detailing the shots that were given etc. I asked about pricing & what my cat needed , $104.00 dollars out the door. No outrageous office visit fee, like my veterinarian would charge. Way cheaper.I highly recommend this establishment!!!!

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, your local Pet Hospital dedicated primarily to providing essential preventative health services, with a strong focus on vaccinations, for your cherished animal companions in and the surrounding communities. We understand the importance of proactive healthcare in ensuring the long and healthy lives of your pets. While the name "Vetco Vaccination Clinic" highlights our specialization, as a Pet Hospital, we aim to offer a convenient and accessible option for fundamental preventative care. While detailed information about the environment, a comprehensive range of services beyond vaccinations, specific features, and promotions isn't provided, we can construct a detailed introduction based on what a vaccination-focused pet hospital typically offers, ensuring an objective overview relevant to local users.
Our Environment: A Convenient and Focused Setting
Vetco Vaccination Clinic likely provides a streamlined and efficient environment primarily geared towards the quick and easy administration of vaccinations and potentially other preventative measures. You can expect a clean and organized setting focused on facilitating these services effectively. While it might not have the extensive facilities of a full-service animal hospital, the emphasis would be on providing a comfortable and safe space for your pet during their visit for preventative care. The atmosphere would likely be welcoming and efficient, aiming to make the process as smooth as possible for both you and your pet.
Given the focus on vaccinations, the location of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is likely chosen for accessibility to local pet owners, perhaps within or near other pet-related businesses or in easily reachable areas. The aim is to provide a convenient option for routine preventative care, making it easier for pet owners to keep their animals protected.
Our Services: Primarily Focused on Preventative Care
As a Pet Hospital with "Vaccination Clinic" in its name, the core services at Vetco Vaccination Clinic would undoubtedly center around preventative care, particularly vaccinations. These services likely include:
- Core Vaccinations: Providing essential vaccinations for common diseases affecting dogs and cats, tailored to local risks and guidelines. This would include vaccines like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus for dogs, and rabies, feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia for cats.
- Lifestyle Vaccinations: Offering additional vaccinations based on your pet's lifestyle and potential exposure risks, such as Bordetella (kennel cough), leptospirosis, and Lyme disease vaccines for dogs, and feline leukemia virus (FeLV) vaccine for cats.
- Deworming: Providing preventative and treatment options for common internal parasites.
- Flea and Tick Prevention: Offering advice and potentially dispensing preventative products for external parasites.
- Basic Wellness Checks: While the primary focus is vaccinations, a brief general health check might be included before administering vaccines to ensure your pet is healthy enough.
- Microchipping: Given the preventative nature, microchipping services for permanent pet identification may also be offered.
While the name emphasizes vaccinations, as a Pet Hospital, they may also offer other basic preventative services to support the overall wellness of your pets.
Our Features: Convenience and Focus on Prevention
The key features of Vetco Vaccination Clinic likely include:
- Convenience: Aiming to provide a straightforward and accessible option for preventative care.
- Focus on Prevention: Specializing in vaccinations and other preventative measures to protect your pet's health.
- Potentially Lower Costs: Clinics focused on specific services can sometimes offer more competitive pricing for those services compared to full-service hospitals.
- Efficient Service: With a primary focus, visits for vaccinations might be quicker and more streamlined.
- Knowledgeable Staff: While perhaps not the same breadth as a full-service hospital, the staff would be knowledgeable about vaccinations and preventative care.
Promotional Information: Keeping Your Pets Healthy Affordably
Given the focus on vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic might offer package deals for core vaccinations, discounts for multi-pet households, or periodic promotions on preventative care services. To learn about any current special offers or pricing for vaccinations and other preventative treatments, local users would need to contact the clinic directly or visit their website if available. Aug 05, 2024 · Efrain Santana Jr.For context, I've used Vetco on multiple occasions because of the affordability cpaeed to expensive veterinary establishments. Vetco has always been 5 stars. No issues prior to today. Today I took my well-behaved, people-loving, extremely happy, Standard Poodle in for her 3-year rabies. They added on the 5-in-1 DA2PP (Distemper), as well as a Leptospirosis. She is fully vaccinated and has had these all exactly when due, per the puppy vaccination schedule. They told me she was due for the additional vaccinations, so okay, no problem. Because of fairly recent major surgeries I have had, I have my dog trained to a Herm Sprenger prong collar. --- It is not a torture device for those that judge this tool without understanding how it actually works, it does no damage whatsoever - but what will do damage is when this particular tool is used incorrectly, not sized properly, left on when not in use, and when it isn't sitting properly on the dog's neck. --- So, here's where the problem came in: the woman assistant, "Archie", knelt down and very quickly put my dog in a bear hug with her giant man arms, presumably to hold her in place, only my dog was just standing there. My dog looked confused and terrified and naturally began to struggle a bit. There was no warning, it was done very quickly. A,little bavkgroumd: my dog came from a breeder that does ENS, and she is groomed regularly, so she has ZERO ISSUES with being handled. She's kept in a traditional Poodle clip. She has her face and feet shaved bi-weekly. I wasn't asked how she did with handling, or with vaccinations, and though she is 50 pounds, she is a petite girl. Anyways, this assistant's giant arms wrapped around my girl's neck, squeezing the prong collar against her neck, resulting in her whimpering because it hurt. I told this very large woman to let go of her neck because she had a prong collar on. She moved her arm and placed it back against the prong collar AGAIN. I repeated myself and said very directly "SHE IS WEARING A PRONG COLLAR, YOU ARE PRESSING IT INTO HER NECK, LET GO OF HER NECK, YOU ARE HURTING HER". I had to reach down and grab the collar in an effort to pull it away from her skin because this woman wouldn't listen and she wasn't letting go of my dog. Whether she wasn't understanding, or was choosing to ignore me, I do not know, but she was not listening to the words coming out of my mouth, nor noticing how uncomfortable my dog was with the way she was handling her. In all of the times I have used Vetco for their services I have never dealt with such deafening incompetence and irnorance. You'd think the vet would've instructed her to LET GO. I am thoroughly disappointed with this morning's visit. My dog hasn't left my side since we got home. This visit clearly affected her negativel. My dog at no time gave any indication that she was, or was going to be, difficult to handle. She walked in wiggly and happy to greet everyone, which isn't just typical of my dog, but it's pretty typical of the breed itself. This was a horrible, negative experience for her. This is not how she has been handled by any vets or techs EVER. This is not how I expect my non-aggressive, calm, happy dog to be handled. She handled her so tightly around her neck that when I got home I combed around her neck to check her thoroughly to ensure she didn't have any puncture marks from the collar. Aside of the aforementioned, upon review of her paperwork under "Wellness Exam", next to "Temperature", it states "Unable to Obtain". At no time a rectal thermometer brought out, so a temperature wasn't something that they even tried to obtain. Next to Pulse it states "100", but at no time were any vitals taken. For everything else listed it states "Normal", only NOTHING was looked at. Not her skin, not her eyes, not her nails, not her ears - nothing. Next to Mouth/Dental it says "Normal" as well. At no time did anyone lift her lips, look at her gums, look at her tongue, or check her teeth or her bite. I won't be taking my dog to Vetco again.

Mar 31, 2025 · Tonique FentyWent in to get a guinea pig for my 11 year old daughter. When we got to the isle were they were located we were greeted by Solenne. She was working on the hamsters but didn’t let that stop her from talking to us and answering all our questions. She was so nice and so knowledgeable giving us tips and taking her time to talk to us about how to properly care for it. She showed us everything we needed and even was so kind to tell us to download the app and take advantage of the price match. We saved lots of money doing so. It was an awesome experience especially for my daughter. Thank you Solenne for giving us that amazing experience.
