Went to Petco for vaccination clinic. Was quite a long wait for my dogs vaccinations, as there was a large crowd for this clinic. Let my dog wait in the car since she is not the best around other dogs. But I have to say that the veterinary assistants and vet Dr. Were wonderful with the dogs and owners. And it certainly is much cheaper than getting vaccinations at a veterinary hospital. Absolutely worth going if you have a few hours to spare and need pet vaccinations. Also got a microchip and blood tests for heartworm and tic diseases. I also got ALL vaccinations including bordetella. At $118 for all shots and blood tests and microchip this is a real bargain! Thanks Petco/vetco for making this so affordable for pet owners to take care of their babies. Was actually cheaper when I got there than the prices I saw online. When does that ever happen! Truly worth the wait time. Find information online about petco vaccination clinics in your area. Spring is here and it's time to protect your pets. I used the Gloucester Ma location. Employees and veterinary staff were great with the dogs and owners. I am a former dog groomer and vet technician and was very happy to find such a great deal. Make sure your babies are safe and healthy this year with these clinics. Happy spring!

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, conveniently located inside the Petco at 341 Gloucester Crossing Rd, Gloucester, MA 01930, USA. As a dedicated Pet Hospital operating within a retail environment, Vetco focuses on providing accessible and affordable preventative care services, primarily vaccinations, to ensure the health and well-being of your beloved pets in the Gloucester area. We understand the importance of protecting your animals from preventable diseases and offer a cost-effective solution for essential pet wellness services.
The environment of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, being situated within a Petco store, offers a unique blend of convenience and accessibility. While it may not have the traditional setting of a standalone veterinary hospital, it provides a familiar and easily reachable location for pet owners. The reviews indicate that despite the potential for a busy environment, particularly during peak clinic hours, the veterinary assistants and the veterinarian on staff are efficient and organized in managing the flow of pets and owners. The option for pet owners to wait in their cars if their animals are not comfortable around other dogs demonstrates an understanding and accommodation of individual pet temperaments, ensuring a less stressful experience overall. The focus is clearly on delivering essential preventative care in a practical and accessible setting within a trusted pet retail environment.
The primary service offered at Vetco Vaccination Clinic is, as the name suggests, vaccinations for pets. This includes a comprehensive range of core vaccines recommended for dogs and cats to protect against potentially serious and contagious diseases. According to a customer review, all essential vaccinations, including bordetella, were available. This ensures that pet owners can conveniently and affordably protect their animals from common ailments, contributing to the overall health of the local pet population in Gloucester. Beyond vaccinations, Vetco also offers other crucial preventative services such as microchipping, which provides a permanent form of identification for your pet, significantly increasing the chances of a safe return if they ever get lost. Additionally, the clinic provides important diagnostic blood tests, including those for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, allowing for early detection and timely treatment of these potentially harmful conditions.
A significant feature of Vetco Vaccination Clinic, consistently highlighted in the customer reviews, is its affordability. Compared to the cost of vaccinations and other preventative services at a full-service veterinary hospital, Vetco offers a notably more budget-friendly option. One reviewer explicitly mentioned the "real bargain" of receiving all vaccinations, heartworm and tick disease blood tests, and a microchip for $118, noting that the actual price was even lower than what they had seen online. This cost-effectiveness makes essential preventative care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners, enabling them to protect their pets' health without significant financial strain. This commitment to affordability is a major advantage for the Gloucester community, encouraging responsible pet ownership through accessible healthcare.
Another key feature, as noted by a satisfied customer, is the friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and caring nature of the veterinary assistants and the veterinarian at the Gloucester location. Despite a potentially long wait time due to the popularity of the clinic, the quality of care and the positive interaction with the staff were consistently praised. The veterinary professionals are described as "wonderful with the dogs and owners," indicating a patient and empathetic approach to both the animals and their human companions. This positive interaction and the expertise of the staff contribute significantly to a positive overall experience, even when there might be a wait involved.
The convenience of Vetco Vaccination Clinic being located within a Petco store also adds to its appeal. Pet owners can often combine their routine pet supply shopping with getting their animals vaccinated or microchipped, saving time and effort. The availability of information about Vetco clinics online, as mentioned in a review, further enhances accessibility by allowing pet owners to find locations and potentially view service offerings and pricing in advance. This transparency and ease of access make Vetco a practical choice for preventative pet care in the Gloucester area.
While the reviews do not explicitly mention specific promotional offers beyond the generally lower prices, the significant cost savings compared to traditional veterinary hospitals can be considered a continuous form of promotional value. The reviewer's surprise at the in-person cost being even lower than the online prices suggests a commitment to offering competitive and transparent pricing for their services. Pet owners in Gloucester are encouraged to check the Petco website or contact the Gloucester store directly for any specific seasonal promotions or package deals that might be available at the Vetco Vaccination Clinic.
In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, situated within the Petco at Gloucester Crossing Rd, offers a convenient and remarkably affordable option for essential pet preventative care in Gloucester, MA. Specializing in vaccinations, microchipping, and important blood tests for heartworm and tick diseases, Vetco makes it easier for pet owners to protect their animals' health without incurring high costs. The friendly, knowledgeable, and caring veterinary staff ensures a positive experience, even if there is a wait during busy periods. The significant cost savings, coupled with the convenience of its location within a trusted pet retail store, makes Vetco Vaccination Clinic a valuable resource for the Gloucester community, encouraging responsible pet ownership through accessible and budget-friendly preventative healthcare.
