DON'T GO!! Today, I was literally refused service for the first time in my life by the young boy at the podium, Christopher C..... and he tried to tell me that I need to go to the more expensive "wellness visit" at their clinic, for a Rabies shot???!!! Utterly ridiculous, and a total scam!! What's worse, he wouldn't let me even talk to the veterinarian, even though I asked twice! Even worse, on the visit summary I received in an email afterwards, the veterinarian Ashraf Shehab signed the summary which stated absolute lies about my dog... even though the vet, Mr. Shehab, didn't even see my dog and wasnt even there in the store yet!! Isn't that malpractice?? Maybe they wanted me gone for other reasons, like my openly seen religion, or maybe its a scam to force people to go to their wellness clinics, or maybe they needed an excuse because the vet wasn't even there yet, after waiting 15 minutes! Regardless, the way I was treated was wrong. All I wanted was a rabies shot for my dog and routine dewormer...and now I go home feeling so distressed and upset. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Introduce
Vetco Vaccination Clinic, situated at 9 Interstate Shopping Center, Franklin Turnpike in Ramsey, New Jersey, operates under the platform category of Pet Hospital, implying it offers vaccination services and potentially other related products for sale. For local pet owners in Ramsey and the surrounding areas seeking affordable and convenient vaccinations for their pets, it is crucial to consider all available information regarding the clinic's environment, services, features, and the experiences of other customers. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Vetco Vaccination Clinic based on recent customer reviews found online, highlighting potential concerns for prospective clients.
The provided customer reviews offer limited insight into the physical environment of Vetco Vaccination Clinic. One reviewer mentions being refused service by a "young boy at the podium," suggesting a basic setup where initial interactions occur at a reception desk. The reviews do not describe the cleanliness, comfort, or overall atmosphere of the clinic itself. However, the negative experiences reported by customers may indirectly reflect on the clinic's operational environment and the prioritization of customer service and ethical practices.
Based on the reviews, the primary service sought by customers at Vetco Vaccination Clinic appears to be vaccinations, specifically rabies shots and routine deworming. One reviewer explicitly stated their desire for these services and their frustration at being allegedly pushed towards a more expensive "wellness visit" for a simple rabies vaccination. This suggests that while the clinic offers vaccinations, there may be attempts to upsell additional services. Another reviewer mentioned the misrepresented cost of vaccines, indicating a lack of transparency regarding the need for booster shots and associated charges. This suggests that the clinic likely provides a range of basic vaccinations but may not always clearly communicate the full costs involved.
Several concerning features emerge from the customer reviews. One significant issue is the alleged refusal of service for a straightforward rabies vaccination, with a staff member reportedly insisting on a more expensive wellness visit instead. This raises questions about the clinic's policies and the potential for unnecessary upselling. Another alarming feature is the claim by a reviewer who was refused the opportunity to speak with the veterinarian and subsequently received a visit summary containing "absolute lies" about their dog, signed by a veterinarian who allegedly had not even seen the pet or was not present at the time of the visit. If accurate, this could constitute serious professional misconduct and raises significant concerns about the integrity and accountability of the clinic's practices. The reviewer also speculated on potential discriminatory reasons for the refusal of service, though this remains unverified.
Furthermore, the misrepresentation of vaccine costs, specifically the failure to inform customers about the necessity of a second shot and the associated additional charge, is a significant negative feature. Lack of transparency in pricing can lead to unexpected expenses and erode customer trust. While one reviewer did note that the staff they interacted with were "very nice," this positive aspect was overshadowed by the negative experiences related to service refusal, misleading cost information, and alleged unethical practices.
The provided information does not include any details about promotional offers or specific features designed to attract new clients. Given the serious nature of the complaints in the customer reviews, it is possible that the clinic may not be actively promoting its services or that such information is not readily available online. Potential local users would likely prioritize addressing the concerns raised in the reviews before considering any promotional offers, should they exist.
In conclusion, the customer reviews for Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Ramsey, NJ, paint a concerning picture for potential local users. Allegations of service refusal for basic vaccinations, pressure to opt for more expensive services, misrepresented costs for vaccines, and, most seriously, the alleged fabrication of a veterinary assessment by a veterinarian who did not examine the pet, raise significant red flags. While one reviewer noted the niceness of the staff, this was insufficient to outweigh the negative experiences related to transparency, ethical practices, and customer service. Local pet owners seeking vaccination services in Ramsey should carefully consider these reviews and potentially seek alternative Pet Hospitals with more consistently positive feedback regarding their professionalism, transparency, and ethical standards of care.

Apr 12, 2025 · Mrs. MouWe were not impressed with the level of service, knowledge and professionalism of people who helped us. Also, they absolutely misrepresented the cost of the vaccines, not letting us know we would have to come back in 4 weeks and they will charge us again for the second shot. Which is ridiculous to charge for the second shot without letting us know about that. The only positive thing I can say is that they were very nice. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN.
Dec 16, 2024 · Ted MorrowThis review is regarding the vetco at this location. The service from the vet technicians here is absolutely terrible. Will never come to this location again. Will most definitely look for local vet. Context: Had to come 3 times just to complete my annual visit. First time, they cancelled without informing me. Second time, got the vaccines but was given the wrong prescription. Third time, came back to get the right prescription but was made to wait instead of just handling this task asynchronously with other patrons here for annual vaccine appointments.
Feb 10, 2024 · Varun KhannaThere are plenty of appointments available for a reason. Within our appointment the vet (Dr. Herdic) gave additional medications and vaccines without our consent. Our puppy’s records show that we did not need the vaccine and she is allergic to the medication. We will just wait out our usual vet’s schedule from now on.
