Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Vetco Vaccination Clinic, situated at 35 Fort Eddy Rd, Concord, NH 03301, USA, operates as a specialized "Pet Hospital" focusing primarily on accessible and affordable preventive veterinary care. Unlike traditional full-service veterinary hospitals, Vetco clinics are designed to provide essential health services, often within retail environments like Petco stores, making them a convenient option for pet owners seeking routine vaccinations and basic preventive treatments. This model emphasizes efficiency, affordability, and accessibility, aiming to ensure that more pets receive crucial preventative care that might otherwise be cost-prohibitive or difficult to schedule at conventional veterinary practices.
The environment at a Vetco Vaccination Clinic is typically characterized by its streamlined and functional setup within a larger retail space. While it may not offer the extensive facilities of a full-service animal hospital, the focus is on creating a friendly and efficient space for quick, necessary procedures. The staff at Vetco clinics are generally composed of licensed veterinarians and professional support staff who are trained to handle a high volume of pets efficiently while still providing compassionate care. Customer reviews frequently highlight the positive interactions with the staff, noting their professionalism, friendliness, and the gentle manner in which they handle animals, even large ones like a 150lbs "furbaby" named Fezzik. This indicates a conscious effort to ensure that despite the focus on quick service, the welfare and comfort of the pet remain a priority. The convenience of being located within a Petco store also means pet owners have immediate access to pet supplies, food, and other services, creating a holistic pet care destination.
The services offered by Vetco Vaccination Clinic are specifically tailored to preventative care, aligning with its "Pet Hospital" category but with a specialized scope. The primary service, as the name suggests, is vaccinations for dogs and cats. These include core vaccines like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus for dogs, and feline distemper (panleukopenia), rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus (FVRCP) for cats. They also offer optional vaccines such as Bordetella for dogs and feline leukemia for cats, depending on the pet's lifestyle and risk factors. A key feature of Vetco's vaccination service is the absence of a separate office visit or exam fee; pet owners typically only pay for the vaccinations and any additional services they choose.
Beyond vaccinations, Vetco clinics often provide other essential preventive health services. Microchipping is a common offering, providing a vital tool for reuniting lost pets with their owners. They also focus heavily on parasite prevention, offering prescription flea and tick prevention products, as well as heartworm prevention medication. Heartworm and tick-borne disease testing are available, which are critical for early detection and treatment of these potentially serious conditions. Additionally, fecal testing for intestinal parasites is typically offered. It's important to note that Vetco Vaccination Clinics generally do not provide comprehensive medical treatments for sick or injured pets, nor do they perform surgeries or extensive diagnostics beyond what is necessary for their preventative services. Pets that are already sick or unhealthy may be referred to a full-service veterinary hospital as their immune system may be compromised, and additional stress from vaccinations is avoided.
A distinctive feature of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is its convenient walk-in clinic model. While some locations may offer pre-registration or appointments, the general design allows pet owners to bring their pets in during clinic hours without needing a prior appointment, significantly reducing barriers to accessing essential preventative care. This "pop-up" style clinic, often hosted at Petco stores, is designed for efficiency, with licensed veterinarians and technicians working quickly to administer vaccines and perform basic tests. The transparency in pricing is another notable feature; Vetco aims to offer low-cost solutions for vaccinations and other services, making routine care more affordable compared to traditional veterinary office visits where exam fees are typically separate. Vaccination packages are often available, bundling common vaccines and tests for puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats, further reducing costs for pet owners.
In terms of promotional information, Vetco Vaccination Clinic frequently emphasizes its affordability and convenience. While specific, time-limited promotional offers can vary, their core value proposition is the provision of low-cost vaccinations and preventive services without an exam fee. Information found online suggests individual rabies vaccines can be offered at a very competitive price, whether it's a 1-year or 3-year shot. They often promote their vaccination packages, such as the Vital Package or Choice Package, which bundle various vaccines and tests for different stages of a pet's life at a discounted rate. Promotions like "free first exam" at their full-service Vetco Total Care hospitals (distinct from the vaccination clinics, but part of the same broader Petco veterinary ecosystem) or "free microchipping with the purchase of a Best Value vaccine package" are also seen. Petco Love, a non-profit organization affiliated with Petco, also frequently runs campaigns like "National Pet Vaccination Month" and "Vaccinated and Loved," sometimes offering free vaccines for diseases like parvovirus and distemper through their network of partners, which can include Vetco clinics. While the provided customer review does not mention specific promotions, the overall sentiment regarding convenience and positive staff interaction serves as an informal endorsement of their service quality. It is always recommended to check the official Vetco or Petco website or call the Concord clinic directly at (603) 225-7355 or +1 603-225-7355 for the most current service offerings and promotional details.
In conclusion, Vetco Vaccination Clinic at 35 Fort Eddy Rd, Concord, NH, serves as a vital component within the "Pet Hospital" category by offering a specialized, accessible, and affordable model for preventative pet healthcare. Its focus on vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention, delivered through convenient walk-in clinics, makes essential health services more attainable for a broader pet-owning population. The dedicated staff and the efficient, no-frills environment contribute to a positive experience, ensuring that pets receive necessary care to stay healthy and happy, while pet owners benefit from transparent and budget-friendly options.

Mar 31, 2023 · kristin reitzeVery pleased with Vetco. Our pup was due for his 3 year Rabies Vac. Well, he is not new to being extremely anxious and nervous...the staff worked with him to make sure he was safe and comfortable during the entire process...the woman was able to get in the shot painlessly and without being obvious to our scared pup. Boop! It was done behind, while I held him. Kudos to the entire team at Concord NH Petco on Fort Eddy. Thanks! I would def. Recommend them for your fur babies.
