I usually go to the Vetco in Greece with no issues. This time I wanted to go in on a different day and went to the one off Culver and it was awful. My dog is very attached to me and when I asked if I could go in the room with her they threatened to muzzle her and I insisted it wasn’t necessary. The techs were scared of my dog for no reason, stating my dog looked scared so they were scared. They fumbled around fishing for a vein and poked her multiple times in one leg before moving to another leg. They held her in such a way that her paws were sliding across the floor in a half sitting/half lying down position as another tech fished around and poked her again and again while the other tech was squeezing her so much my dogs face was turning pink. And then I was told I would get a 10% discount and they later on told me no. This was a terrible experience. And if you are afraid of certain dog breeds when the dog has not shown any aggression then this shouldn’t be your job.

Understanding the environment and atmosphere of a pet hospital is crucial for pet owners seeking care. While specific details about the clinic's interior, such as waiting areas, examination rooms, and overall ambiance, are not explicitly available online, it's important to consider that a typical pet hospital aims to provide a clean and safe environment for animals. This includes maintaining hygienic conditions to prevent the spread of diseases and creating a space where pets can feel as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. The presence of necessary medical equipment and a layout designed for efficient patient care are also key aspects of a functional pet hospital environment.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as the name suggests, likely offers a core service of vaccinations for various types of pets. Vaccinations are a fundamental aspect of preventive veterinary care, protecting animals from potentially life-threatening diseases. Beyond vaccinations, pet hospitals often provide a range of other essential services to address the diverse health needs of pets. These services can include routine check-ups and wellness examinations, which are vital for early detection of health issues and maintaining overall well-being. Diagnostic services, such as blood tests, urine analysis, and imaging (like X-rays), are often available to help diagnose illnesses and injuries accurately.

In cases of illness or injury, pet hospitals provide medical treatment, which can range from administering medications to providing supportive care. Some pet hospitals also offer surgical services for various conditions, from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex surgeries. Dental care is another important aspect of pet health, and many veterinary clinics offer services such as teeth cleaning and extractions. Furthermore, consultations on nutrition, behavior, and general pet care are often part of the services provided by a comprehensive pet hospital.

To provide an objective introduction, it's essential to consider feedback from actual customers. Online reviews can offer valuable insights into the experiences of other pet owners. The provided reviews, however, present a mixed picture. One customer reported a negative experience at a Vetco location (though specified as "off Culver," which might be a different branch), citing issues with staff demeanor, perceived fear of their dog despite no aggression, multiple unsuccessful attempts at drawing blood, uncomfortable handling of their dog, and a discrepancy regarding a promised discount. This review raises concerns about the staff's handling skills, communication, and customer service at that particular instance.

Another customer also reported an unfriendly staff demeanor, a waiting time despite having an appointment, a lack of seating in the waiting area, resistance to allowing the owner to accompany their dog, and a seemingly rushed physical examination before administering a shot. This feedback suggests potential issues with appointment management, waiting area comfort, client communication regarding procedures, and the thoroughness of examinations.

It is important to note that these reviews reflect individual experiences and may not be representative of the overall services provided by Vetco Vaccination Clinic at the East Ridge Road location. However, they highlight areas where some customers have experienced dissatisfaction. Potential customers should consider these points alongside the clinic's offered services and their own interactions with the clinic when making decisions about their pet's care.

The staff's demeanor was disappointingly unfriendly during my recent visit. Despite having made an appointment, I found myself waiting for 15 minutes before being attended to. Regrettably, there were no available seating options, which made the wait uncomfortable. Additionally, upon being called, I encountered resistance when I wished to accompany by dog into the office. Moreover, although a physical examination was supposed to be conducted by the vet, it seemed rushed as my dog was swiftly administered a shot without a thorough assessment.

I HIGHLY recommend these people. I needed to get a dog to the groomers and needed the updated shots and my vet and nearby vets could not see us. The dr and asst were the best. We made another appt for the rest of the shots. Much cheaper than going to my vets too.

They are bandits! I paid for the puppy package to get all her shots $250+ I got one set of shots, missed the next appointment and now they’re telling me I have to pay all over again and have no credit. They are outright thieves!

As I have recently moved into Irondequoit. Finding a new vet for my dogs was my first priority. After calling numerous establishments to get my dogs shots up to date. No openings were available anywhere for months. Then comes in Petco/Vetco to the rescue. I was able to get my dogs in 2 days later and all applicable shots done. The staff was very helpful with the paperwork and allowed me to help calm my dogs down while they receiving their shots. All around a wonderful experience. Will continue to bring my dogs back. Also appreciated the user friendly scheduling program they use.
