The staff were friendly with my dogs. They were good at drawing blood. I found the area where they vaccinate to be very congested without anywhere to really get away from the chaos. So if your dog is very shy just be aware. The thing that upset me is that when I went to get my rx filled at the pharmacy they had written a useless rx because my dog weighs more than what they had written for so the pharmacy would not honor it. They wrote for Nexguard for one dog but not the other. I tried to contact Vetco at the 1-800 number on my paperwork but they were not helpful. The appointment took quite awhile from check in to check out. Update: I called Petco and they put me in touch with a person who coordinates at Petco in Ames. We have it worked out. I appreciate that there is a way to reach them if you need to. So given all this I will upgrade my review. Thanks Vetco!

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic, a "Pet Hospital" located at 2515 Corridor Way #3, Coralville, IA 52241, USA. As the name suggests, Vetco Vaccination Clinic primarily focuses on providing vaccination services for pets. While it operates within the broader category of a "Pet Hospital" by offering pet healthcare services, its emphasis appears to be on preventative care through vaccinations. Based on the available customer reviews, we can gather some insights into the clinic's environment, services, and features.

The primary service offered at Vetco Vaccination Clinic, as indicated by its name and a customer review, is vaccinations for pets. One reviewer mentioned coming in specifically for vaccinations. While the reviews do not provide a comprehensive list of all services, it's reasonable to assume that the clinic offers core vaccination packages for dogs and cats. Additionally, one review mentions blood drawing, suggesting they may also offer diagnostic testing that requires blood samples. The issue with the prescription for Nexguard indicates that they also prescribe preventative medications, although there was an error in this instance.

Regarding the environment, one reviewer described the vaccination area as "very congested without anywhere to really get away from the chaos," advising caution for owners of shy dogs. This suggests that the clinic might operate in a busy setting, possibly within a larger retail space (given the update mentioning contact through Petco). This could mean a less traditional, perhaps more open-plan environment compared to a standalone veterinary clinic. The congestion might be due to the volume of pets being seen for vaccinations.

Several features can be identified from the customer reviews:

  • Friendly Staff: Multiple reviewers noted that the staff were friendly with their dogs and patient.
  • Efficient Blood Drawing: One reviewer specifically mentioned that the clinic was good at drawing blood.
  • Coordination with Petco: The update from one reviewer indicates a coordination mechanism with Petco to resolve issues, suggesting a possible affiliation or operational connection.
  • Accessibility for Contact: Despite initial difficulties with the 1-800 number, a pathway to resolution was found through Petco, indicating that there are ways to reach them for support.

One of the reviews mentioned an issue with a prescription written for Nexguard, where the dosage was incorrect for the dog's weight, and a prescription for the other dog was missed entirely. This highlights a potential area for improvement in their prescription handling process. The same reviewer also noted a lengthy appointment time from check-in to check-out.

There is no explicit promotional information in the provided text. However, the focus on vaccinations could be seen as a core offering that appeals to pet owners seeking preventative care at potentially competitive prices, especially if operating within a retail environment like Petco, which often runs promotions on various pet services and products.

For local users in Coralville, Iowa, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 2515 Corridor Way #3, offers a convenient option for pet vaccinations. The staff is noted to be friendly and good at handling pets during procedures like blood draws. However, potential visitors with shy dogs should be aware of the potentially congested environment in the vaccination area. It's also advisable to double-check any prescriptions issued at the clinic to ensure accuracy before filling them at a pharmacy. The ability to resolve issues through Petco might be a point of contact for any concerns.

For our users in Singapore, Vetco Vaccination Clinic provides an example of a "Pet Hospital" with a specific focus on vaccinations, possibly operating within a retail setting. When seeking vaccination services in Singapore, you might find similar clinics that prioritize efficient and accessible preventative care. It's always recommended to inquire about the clinic's environment, the experience of the staff with different temperaments of pets, and their procedures for prescriptions and follow-up.

In summary, Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Coralville, Iowa, is a "Pet Hospital" primarily offering vaccination services. The staff is generally regarded as friendly, and they are noted to be proficient in procedures like blood drawing. However, the environment for vaccinations might be busy, which could be a concern for shy pets. Additionally, there have been instances of prescription errors, so careful verification is recommended. The connection with Petco appears to provide a channel for resolving customer service issues. If you are in the Coralville area and primarily seeking vaccinations for your pet, Vetco Vaccination Clinic is an option to consider, keeping in mind the experiences shared by other pet owners.
