My experience with both my dogs was amazing! From check-in to check out everyone was so nice. Vetco doc & techs provided amazing care for my babies. Especially my girl who can be super nervous. Also having bully breed dogs some vets(people in general) don’t care much for them. Everyone was so nice and patient. Vetco has saved me so much money in making it affordable for my babies vet care. I appreciate them so much! Thank you!!

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 92 Cluff Crossing Road in Salem, New Hampshire, is a specialized "Pet Hospital" that primarily focuses on providing accessible and affordable preventative veterinary care for dogs and cats. Unlike full-service animal hospitals that offer a wide range of complex medical and surgical procedures, Vetco Vaccination Clinic streamlines its services to concentrate on essential wellness needs, making routine pet care more convenient and budget-friendly for the local community.

Environment and Atmosphere

The environment at Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Salem is consistently described as exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and calm. Clients frequently commend the staff for their genuine kindness and patience, which is particularly beneficial for pets who may be nervous or anxious during vet visits. One reviewer highlighted the amazing experience for their dogs, noting, "From check-in to check out everyone was so nice. Vetco doc & techs provided amazing care for my babies. Especially my girl who can be super nervous." This dedication to creating a low-stress environment is a hallmark of their approach.

Furthermore, the clinic is praised for its inclusive and non-judgmental approach, especially concerning breeds that sometimes face misconceptions. As one client shared, "Also having bully breed dogs some vets (people in general) don’t care much for them. Everyone was so nice and patient." This reflects a compassionate and professional atmosphere where all pets are treated with respect and care, regardless of breed. The facility itself is designed for efficient service, ensuring a clean and functional space tailored for vaccinations and preventive treatments, aiming to minimize wait times and provide a smooth experience for both pets and their owners.

Comprehensive Services Offered

Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in a focused range of preventative veterinary services, which are crucial for maintaining the long-term health and well-being of pets. Their primary offerings include:

  • Wellness Examinations: These fundamental check-ups help veterinarians assess a pet's overall health status and identify any potential health concerns early on.
  • Vaccinations: A cornerstone of their services, Vetco provides a full spectrum of vaccinations necessary to protect pets against common and often severe diseases. For dogs, this typically includes core vaccines such as Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza (often combined as DHPP or DAP), and Rabies. Non-core vaccines like Bordetella (kennel cough) and Leptospirosis are often available, recommended based on a pet's lifestyle and exposure risks in the Salem, NH area. For cats, core vaccines usually include Rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), with Feline Leukemia vaccine being highly recommended for at-risk cats.
  • Microchipping: An invaluable service for pet safety, microchipping provides permanent identification that significantly increases the likelihood of reuniting lost pets with their families.
  • Parasite Prevention and Testing: This includes crucial services like heartworm testing and the provision of prescription medications for year-round protection against fleas, ticks, and heartworms. They also offer fecal testing to screen for intestinal parasites.
  • Diagnostic Screenings: While not a full diagnostic center, they offer basic health screenings pertinent to their preventative model, such as heartworm tests and fecal exams.

It is important for pet owners to understand that Vetco Vaccination Clinics, by design, do not offer services such as complex surgeries, in-depth diagnostics for sick or injured pets, emergency care, or extensive dental procedures. For these needs, pets would typically be referred to a full-service veterinary hospital. Their model is specifically optimized for efficient, accessible preventative care.

We found an outside dog pen that we wanted. Bought it online and it was ready in about 90 minutes for pickup. I went down there and pick it up pretty much right away. What more could you ask for. Lots of products on site and lots of choices.

Everybody treated my dog and I very nicely. I was given options of vaccines and prices. I had a great experience.

I went there for my puppy's vaccinations and bought 6 months of heartworm when I got home I noticed they gave me wrong dosage. I'm a new doggie mom what if I didn't notice the lbs? and just given my baby the medicine trusting them like you're sepost to? This is scary stuff people! The dosage was for a large dog it would had damaged my puppy severely!. Never going there again. When it comes to people and live animals you have to be super attentive at what you are doing in that field you cannot slip not once! Shame on you people.
