My vet clinic was cancelled one weekend, and the next weekend, after rebooking, the clinicians showed up late and took at least 20 minutes to set up with a completely green team of workers in training. They are consistently understaffed and wait times are long, which is not ideal when you're standing in line with a pet, or in my case, multiple pets. I wouldn't recommend Vetco vaccine clinics.

Welcome to Vetco Vaccination Clinic
For pet owners in Seattle, WA, seeking a "Pet Hospital" specifically for vaccinations, Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 2001 15th Ave W Ste B, Seattle, WA 98119, USA, is an option to consider. Vetco clinics are often situated within Petco stores and primarily focus on providing routine vaccinations for pets. While the concept aims to offer a convenient way to keep pets up-to-date on their shots, recent customer reviews for the Seattle location raise some significant concerns that local users should be aware of before choosing this clinic.
One recurring issue highlighted in the reviews is the clinic's staffing and the resulting long wait times. One customer recounted an experience where, following a cancellation, the clinicians for a rescheduled weekend appointment arrived late and then took "at least 20 minutes to set up with a completely green team of workers in training." This observation suggests potential issues with staffing levels and the experience of the team on duty. The reviewer further stated that the clinic is "consistently understaffed and wait times are long," which they noted is "not ideal when you're standing in line with a pet, or in my case, multiple pets." This feedback indicates that pet owners should be prepared for potential delays and a possibly less experienced team when visiting this Vetco location.
Another customer shared a concerning experience regarding the administration of their puppy's vaccinations and a subsequent billing issue. They received their puppies' 12-week and 16-week vaccinations at this clinic. During the 16-week visit, the staff recommended waiting two weeks for the rabies vaccination due to the puppy's small size, to avoid overloading him. The customer agreed to pay for the rabies vaccination in advance, believing it would expedite the future visit. However, upon returning two weeks later, they were charged an additional $25, despite having a receipt for the prepayment (which was not itemized). The clinic staff reportedly stated that they "don't do prepay." The customer, frustrated by this discrepancy and the lack of clear communication, decided not to return to Vetco. They also noted that "The communication between vetco and petco is just too bad," suggesting a potential disconnect between the vaccination clinic and the host store, which could lead to further confusion for customers.
These reviews, while limited in number, paint a picture of potential challenges associated with the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Seattle. The issues raised include:
- Inconsistent staffing levels leading to long wait times.
- Potentially inexperienced or "green" teams on duty.
- Miscommunication regarding payment policies, specifically concerning prepayments for future services.
- Billing discrepancies and difficulties in resolving them.
- Poor communication between Vetco and the partnering Petco store.
Based on this information, local pet owners considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic for their pet's vaccination needs should be aware of these potential drawbacks. While the reviews do not comment on the environment of the clinic itself (e.g., cleanliness, comfort), the focus is primarily on the service delivery aspects, which appear to be areas needing improvement.
The primary service offered at a Vetco Vaccination Clinic is, as the name suggests, vaccinations for pets. This typically includes core vaccines like rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus for dogs, and feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia for cats, as well as other non-core vaccines based on the pet's lifestyle and risk factors. They may also offer other basic preventative services such as microchipping, deworming, and flea/tick prevention advice or products, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews for this specific location.
The "features" of Vetco clinics generally include their convenient locations within Petco stores, making it easy for pet owners to combine shopping for supplies with getting their pets vaccinated. They often operate on a walk-in basis or offer scheduled appointments, providing flexibility for pet owners. However, the reported long wait times at the Seattle location might negate some of this convenience.
The provided information does not include any details about specific promotional offers or discounts currently available at the Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Seattle. Vetco as a national entity may occasionally run promotions on vaccination packages or other services, so it would be advisable to check the Vetco website or inquire directly with the clinic for any current deals. However, based solely on the customer reviews, there is no mention of any such incentives.
In conclusion, while Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Seattle offers a service focused on pet vaccinations within a convenient location, potential local users should carefully consider the reported issues with staffing, wait times, and communication. The negative experiences shared by other pet owners suggest that the process might not always be "quick and easy," and there could be potential for billing discrepancies or miscommunication regarding service payments. It would be prudent for pet owners to weigh these potential drawbacks against the convenience of the location and perhaps seek additional information or consider alternative veterinary clinics in the area before making a decision regarding their pet's vaccination needs.

Jan 06, 2025 · Kimberlee ElyWe got our puppies 12 week and 16 week vaccinations here. It was a relatively quick and easy process, but during the 16 week vaccinations, they said they wanted to wait 2 weeks for the rabies vaccination as our puppy is small and they didn't want to overload him. They said I could pay now so it would be a quick visit (not sure why I thought this was a good idea) but I did so. Two weeks later, went back in and told them we paid last week but they gave me a $25 charge and said they don't do prepay (I had receipt but its not itemized). Didn't bother to argue, just not going back there again. The communication between vetco and petco is just too bad.
