I brought my cat here for his vaccinations. I can excuse the rudeness from the nurse, the $90 appointment fee for the vet to come in for 3 minutes and do nothing but look in his ears. I can excuse the fact that I told them I was not interested in an prescription for topical flea medicine and they charged me for it anyway. But I can't excuse that my cat, who lives exclusively indoors with preventative flea treatments, got fleas from this location. All of it added together is enraging and I am exhausted.

Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital Introduce

Welcome to an objective overview of Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital, located at 12601 Towne Center Dr, Cerritos, CA 90703, USA. Operating within the platform category of 'Pet Hospital,' this facility provides veterinary care services to the local community. You can contact them at (562) 526-3915 or via their mobile number +1 562-526-3915.

Choosing the right 'Pet Hospital' for your beloved animal is a critical decision. It involves evaluating various factors, including the quality of medical care, the professionalism and empathy of the staff, the transparency of costs, and the overall experience reported by other pet owners. The following introduction aims to provide a balanced perspective on Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital based on publicly available customer reviews.

The limited feedback available for Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital at this location in Cerritos paints a concerning picture regarding the customer experience and quality of care received by some pet owners. It is essential for potential local users seeking a 'Pet Hospital' to be aware of these experiences as they make informed decisions about their pet's healthcare.

One pet owner reported a negative experience during a vaccination visit for their cat. Their concerns included perceived rudeness from a nurse, a significant $90 appointment fee for a very brief veterinary examination that seemed limited to checking the cat's ears, and being charged for a prescription flea medication that they had explicitly declined. Most alarmingly, this pet owner stated that their indoor cat, who was on preventative flea treatment, contracted fleas after visiting this clinic. This raises serious questions about the hygiene protocols and potential for cross-contamination within the facility.

Another, even more distressing, review details a tragic experience with a rescue kitten suffering from an anal prolapse. According to the pet owner, the veterinarian at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital reportedly did not observe the prolapse during an examination, did not take vital signs beyond weight, and recommended costly tests for a fecal panel and skin scrape, along with antibiotics for a suspected upper respiratory infection. The following day, the kitten's condition worsened significantly, and a subsequent visit to another veterinary clinic revealed an advanced prolapse. Due to the delayed diagnosis and the kitten's weakened state, the heartbreaking decision to euthanize was made. The reviewer explicitly states that if Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital had properly diagnosed and treated the prolapse when it was small, the outcome might have been different. This review strongly criticizes the lack of thoroughness in the initial examination and the potential consequences of the missed diagnosis.

The stark contrast in the cost of care is also highlighted in the second review. The cost for examination, euthanasia, and cremation at another clinic was reportedly nearly half of what Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital quoted just for diagnostic tests. This raises concerns about the value and affordability of the services provided at this location.

Given the limited but highly negative feedback available, it is challenging to objectively describe the environment, services, and features of Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in a positive light. Based on the reviews, potential local users might anticipate a less than satisfactory customer service experience, potentially high costs for services that may not be perceived as thorough, and even the risk of their pet contracting issues while at the clinic. The environment, based on the flea incident, could be a concern for hygiene.

The services that Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital likely offers, as a 'Pet Hospital,' would typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, and potentially diagnostic services, surgery, and dental care. However, the negative reviews raise concerns about the quality and thoroughness of these services in practice. The first review mentions vaccinations and a brief examination, while the second details a seemingly inadequate diagnostic assessment.

Features that might typically be highlighted by a 'Pet Hospital' could include experienced veterinarians, state-of-the-art equipment, and a commitment to patient care. However, the provided reviews cast doubt on these aspects at this specific Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital location. The lack of a proper diagnosis in a critical case and the potential source of a flea infestation suggest potential shortcomings in these areas.

As there is no positive feedback or any mention of promotional information in the provided data, it is impossible to comment on any features that might be seen as beneficial or any current promotions offered by Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital at this Cerritos location.

For local users in Cerritos seeking a 'Pet Hospital,' it is crucial to carefully consider the negative experiences reported by other pet owners regarding Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital at 12601 Towne Center Dr. The concerns raised about staff rudeness, high fees for seemingly limited services, misdiagnosis with severe consequences, and potential hygiene issues leading to a flea infestation are significant and should not be ignored. Potential clients may want to seek further information, perhaps by contacting the hospital directly with specific questions about their protocols and pricing, or by looking for more recent and diverse reviews from other pet owners to gain a broader understanding of the typical experience at this clinic.

It is important to note that online reviews can be subjective and may not always represent the entirety of experiences at a particular establishment. However, the specific and serious nature of the issues raised in the available feedback for Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Cerritos warrants careful consideration by anyone looking for veterinary care for their pets in this area. Exploring alternative 'Pet Hospital' options in Cerritos and the surrounding areas might be a prudent step to ensure the health and well-being of your animal companion.

In conclusion, based on the limited and negative information available, potential local users should approach Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Cerritos with caution. The reported issues concerning staff attitude, service quality, diagnostic accuracy, and hygiene are significant concerns. Without any positive feedback or information to counter these claims, it is difficult to recommend this specific location as a reliable 'Pet Hospital' at this time. Further investigation and consideration of alternative veterinary care providers in the area are strongly advised.

Went to appointment on Monday with rescue kitten who was suffering from anal prolapse that was small, was told by vetco doctor that she didn’t see any prolapse, she only weighed her and took no vitals and was told I would need to pay $650 for a fecal panel, a skin scrape and some doxycycline for an upper respiratory infection. Tuesday morning I woke up to this poor baby with advanced prolapse and took her to vetchek in Whittier to see Dr. Marie and her nurse he provided compassion and honesty along with checking heart rate, temperature a d weight as soon as we got in and due to the severity of her condition and how weak she was due to her not getting proper diagnosis the day before, she had to be put down. If vetco would have done procedure when it was small, the prolapse could have been resolved. Never go here. The cost to have her examined and put down with cremation was nearly half of what vetco wanted just to run tests. Just go to VetCheck in PetSmart And Whittier.

Great VETCO service. They were on time, I did not have to wait , Dr.Panza and Tech Sav were very nice and knowledgeable! They were patient with my hyper 1year old Rottweiler who was in heat as well. Even recommend some more natural things to do that are healthier for dogs then other more unhealthy options. Thank you !!!!

To be completely honest I would not recommend the place the girls have a attitude and when and when I went to get my pet's treatment I asked them at the end if I could have a copy of the blood work and a doctor's note.for the insurance of my pet and they said that they will send it to me at night because they were really busy at the moment and I mean really busy was only one patient at a time. I really didn't saw any more than one patient and then I wake up today and I don't see any email and I leave 1 hour away from the place and I really don't want to go back just to pick up a paperwork that they can send me over an email and when I try to call them they don't answer and I just really hope that I don't have to go just to pick up some paperwork that they can send me when they said they would. But for the face of the girl who take us when we were on the hospital, I think that I might have to go again. So thank you so much guys for a great service. I really appreciate it. I really hope that somebody can send me the paperwork that I need because gas is really expensive right now
