IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD I am absolutely heartbroken and deeply disappointed by the care my cat, Leo, received here. What was already a painful, emotional experience became even more devastating due to the lack of communication, accountability, and basic compassion shown by this facility. Leo underwent surgery and, despite following all post-op instructions to the letter—including using both hard and soft e-collars as advised—his condition worsened. When I voiced concern about the scarring and complications, I was essentially blamed and told it must have been from "licking," even though he physically could not reach the surgical site. This explanation was not only incorrect, but completely dismissive of the reality and my diligence as a pet owner. To make matters worse, the ER vet who ultimately treated Leo before his passing questioned why his sutures had even been removed, noting that they were dissolvable and the removal may have contributed to his fatal complications. This is a direct contradiction to what I was told by this clinic. After reaching out and asking for the situation to be escalated, I was told it had been passed along to the Area Medical Director. I NEVER received a call. Apparently, a voicemail was left—but I never got it, and that was the end of their follow-up. No email, no second attempt, no real accountability. For a company that claims to care about pets and their families, this lack of basic follow-through is unacceptable. Leo was not just a pet. He was my family. And I feel he was failed by this clinic at multiple levels. The emotional damage of losing him is now compounded by knowing that I entrusted his care to people who didn’t seem to care at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone who loves their animal. You deserve better. Your pet deserves better.

As a Pet Hospital operating within a larger pet retail environment, Vetco Total Care aims to provide accessible veterinary services to pet owners in the Medford area. Understanding the needs of pet owners for convenient and comprehensive care, Vetco Total Care offers a range of services that typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, surgical procedures, and potentially grooming services, as indicated by customer reviews. The integration within a Petco store could offer a one-stop location for pet owners seeking both veterinary care and retail products.

Based on the available customer feedback, the environment and services at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Medford appear to elicit varied responses. One reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction and heartbreak regarding the post-operative care their cat, Leo, received. This account details a lack of communication, accountability, and compassion following a surgical procedure. The reviewer alleges that despite diligently following post-operative instructions, Leo's condition worsened, and their concerns about complications were dismissed. Furthermore, there was a discrepancy noted by an external ER veterinarian regarding the removal of dissolvable sutures, potentially contributing to fatal complications. The lack of follow-up from the clinic's management after escalating the issue was also a significant point of criticism in this review.

In stark contrast, another reviewer shared a positive experience, stating that their dog particularly loves the Medford location, along with other Vetco facilities. This customer praised the technicians, veterinarian, and staff for their bedside manner with their puppy. They also appreciated the efficiency of the team in answering new puppy owner questions. Additionally, this reviewer noted that the Medford location is one of the cleanest they have encountered and expressed satisfaction with the groomer at this facility. This positive feedback suggests that some pet owners find the care and services at the Medford Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital to be satisfactory, particularly highlighting the staff's interaction with pets and owners, as well as the cleanliness of the facility and the availability of grooming services.

Considering the conflicting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive characterization of the typical services and environment at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Medford. While one customer experienced significant issues with surgical aftercare and communication, leading to a tragic outcome, another found the location to be excellent, praising the staff's demeanor, efficiency, and the cleanliness of the facility, as well as the grooming services. This discrepancy suggests that the quality of care and customer service may vary, or that different pet owners have different expectations and experiences.

Features of Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Medford, based on the reviews, include the availability of surgical procedures, routine check-ups (implied through the mention of new puppy care), and grooming services. A potential feature for some pet owners is the convenience of its location within a Petco retail store. For the customer who had a positive experience, the "bedside manner" of the staff, the efficiency in answering questions, and the cleanliness of the facility were notable features. However, for the customer who had a negative experience, the lack of effective post-operative care, the dismissive attitude towards concerns, and the poor communication and follow-up were significant negative features.

The stark contrast in these two reviews underscores the importance for potential clients to consider these differing experiences. The negative review raises serious concerns about post-surgical care, accountability, and communication in critical situations. The positive review, on the other hand, highlights positive aspects such as staff demeanor, efficiency, and facility cleanliness. It is crucial for pet owners to weigh these perspectives when considering Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital in Medford for their pet's healthcare needs.

All of the Vetco's are great but my particular dog especially loves the Medford location. She loves the techs, vet, staff. I truly appreciate their bedside manner with my puppy and how they are so efficient and answered all my new puppy mom questions. She also loves the groomer here and this location is one of the cleanest.

Not all of the people that work at Vetco are terrible but many are. The way Vetco runs their business is irreparably flawed and the company is severely mismanaged. I have been manipulated many times, lied to, and had appointments cancelled for no reason. The final straw broke today and I will never take my cats to a Vetco again. Awful, awful, awful. Don't take your pets to any Vetco.

They are exceptionally, and the wait can be long at times. However. Olga, the vet, is excellent. Can she be cold and direct? Yes, but she took one look at my dog last year and told me he has a brain tumor. In July, I lost my other Yorkie. You just have to watch the checkout bc they want to sell you food and other items. I was in a time of despair with my Feb loss and said yes to everything. I returned $88 worth of recommended items.

They took great care of our cat! From start to to finish they made the process of getting him neutered easy and comfortable. Our cat is very anxious, but everyone was great to him and did their best to calm him down. He had a stress rash which they treated and informed us on without us having to ask them to.
