Vet-I-Care Animal Hospital

Had a very positive experience here! Was able to get an appointment easily to care for my dog's ear infection. He's a bit different. Not a lot of places have tended Irish Wolfhounds. Staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating. Doc Johnson was very explanatory of everything and showed me the specifics of each concern. Very efficient and made things make sense. Some folks commented that they made it too technical, but I really DO want to see the science and concerns to understand what I need to be looking for. Following doctor's orders for a week now and pup is much better and happier. He also helped me with a skin condition that I had misdiagnosed myself. Simple fix with a proper shampoo and he is happier than he has been for a year!!!! Location was easy to find, plenty of parking off the street, and the building itself was clean and well kept. That's a big one with me. Thanks to everyone there for your care and super support and service!!!

Dr. Greshake is a wonderful, very experienced and extremely knowledgeable veterinarian. I have been going to his practice for over 20 years, both for regular visits and a few emergency need visits for my fur baby cats. My cat, Samantha, under his care, lived to be 20, which is outstanding for a cat. I now have 3 cats, Chloe, Phoebe and Tristan, 12, 11 and 10...they have all been under his care since they were kittens. I recommend him highly for both regular checkups, emergency visits and complicated issues, such as Tristan has heart problems, but is happy and doing great, after his diagnosis 4 years ago, on his medicine that Dr. Greshake prescribed. See him below running on his giant wheel that he loves. I also, as another reviewer said, wanted to write a new review for Dr. Greshake and everyone at Vet-I-Care as a Thank you! I believe I had posted a great review on another site years ago, but wanted to give a new updated one. Dr, Greshake's Vet Techs are also always kind, very knowledgable and professional too. Susie and Patty have been with him for 15 and 16 years. They're awesome! Thank you, Dr. Greshake, for your expert and loving care, with my precious fur babies for so many years and for years to come!

The reviews of them not being money hungry are so true. I came there TERRIFIED of what was going on with my baby. She was shaking and jerking. She also peed uncontrollably while standing up. The doctor said it was cannabis poisoning which I was so so shocked to hear since no one in my family does that. It was an hour after I had let her out in my back yard. Someone may have threw something in my backyard bc the test came back positive!!!! So crazy. But also so relieved that the vet tech advocated for me to get her tested so I could rest easy knowing she wasn’t dying.

Dr Greshake is amazing , he really cares very knowledgeable. His staff is very caring. Our community needs to know that this is the best option for our fur babies in an emergency setting. Much better than Capital. Highly recommend Dr Greshake more patients need to build up his google review.

I’m only giving this practice a one star, bcuz of the group of techs and front desk agents there. My encounter with Dr Johnson was the worst ever. All he did was lecture me on how I as an owner should know to put my baby down due to diabetes, he did not give me any helpful info until his own staff actually said let’s do one thing a time, the dog is 14 yrs old. Cause Al he wanted to was to write exorbitant estimates and made sure I understood in a very mean way I could not afford to take care of my now diabetic dog. I wasted three days and money at this clinic bcuz this man would only give me info based on what I paid. He behaved like an informant who in order to provide the information u need, u need to keep giving him money.. the worst experience of my life. The most uncompassionate man I have ever met. I hope to never set foot in that place ever again. He let my baby suffer for three days. Plz stay away from that place if u have to deal with this man Dr Hicks has much better bed side manners and the techs are amazing, I want to thank Sue and James and Brandy and Toni. U guys helped my experience not be the most devastating.
