Vernon Hills Animal Hospital

I have been going here for years, and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars. I have had five of my pets be seen at this facility and have generally been extremely happy. However, I just recently had to put down my dog Wednesday evening of this week. They had made an error on my invoice when I paid. First of all, I thought it was atrocious that I even had to pre-pay while I’m losing my mind waiting for them to euthanize my dog, but I paid the invoice in full before the service was provided. I received a phone call this morning, I thought maybe they were calling to see how I was, how my son was or how my dog Bella was doing, but no. They were calling to tell me that they made a mistake on their invoice and that I owe them another $162. Not even 48 hours after I lost my fur child they’re calling me for money.I understand that financing and paying bills is important, however, I did not make the mistake in the billing, They did. The fact that they would call me not even 48 hours after one of the most painful experiences of my life shows that there is no compassion. I still have a beautiful dog named Bella, unfortunately, due to this circumstance, I am finding a new vet. I hope in the future that you take better care of your patients and their precious, beautiful fur babies and show the compassion to them that you didn’t show me.

I have been going to VHAH for over 20 years (during which they have treated 4 dogs and 1 cat) and have found all staff to be knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated. They take adequate time to discuss treatment options and any medical issues that arise and have provided great care to all my animals.

Our fur babies have always been well cared for by the VHAH team. There care and concern are evident at every visit and every phone call or text message. We love this team! Dr. Sneed and staff always make me feel like our Molly is the queen of cats. We love how they care and love on her each time. Our questions are never left unanswered.

We have been with VHAH for years spanning the lives of two pets and our current two fur babies. The staff is professional, compassionate and very knowledgeable. They have a great no fear program for pets with anxiety over vet visits!
