I have driven 45 min from Surf City for the past 7 years to bring my pets here. The front staff is always so friendly, they are very accommodating to scheduling you when needed, they send prompt reminders, and all the Dr.’s are knowledgable and extremely helpful. The biggest note is the building is always clean and they have a very calm quiet atmosphere for pets and make your appointments go as smooth as possible. They never overcrowd appointment times so we are in and out quickly each visit. If I’ve ever left my dogs for testing they’ve always been in happy moods when I picked them up. We are on a plan that covers our visits, and ships flea and tick to our door, which is super convenient living a bit far. We even used to by all our pet food from here. We love and recommend the VCA whenever someone is looking for a new vet for puppy or new vet for an older dog, they’re great for all!

My boys, 3 handsome dogs and my girl, 1 beautiful long-haired kitty love going to their vet appointments here! Dr. Joe is a great listener and gives trustworthy advice. The care staff checks in with texts to make sure my pets are doing well and I can send messages to the vet as well. My pets have never been treated with more care at other facilities. Thank you VCA @ WB!

My dog passed away July 2023 and I am writing this review in February 2025. I just received a notice from the New Hanover County Sheriffs Office Animal Services Unit telling me I need to renew my dogs registration and rabies vaccine or I will be fined. I did not realize it was my responsibility to let the state know that my dog died. In fact, I am almost positive it is the vets responsibility. Furthermore, VCA Wrightsville Beach did not send me ANY condolences after being notified that my dog passed away. Not a letter or even an email. And now I get a letter in the mail telling me I will be fined if I do not pay for my deceased dog. I have been disappointed by VCA for the past year and a half but decided to let it go until I got this notice in the mail. I took my dog here for years but will not be bringing future pets here.
