I have been taking my two cats here since I moved to Tulsa, and couldn't be happier with the staff here. My one sweet kitty had several visits and they couldn't figure out what was wrong until Dr. Cunningham saw him. I also had my other cat in for a major surgery a few weeks ago and he's recovered wonderfully!! At this point I wouldn't trust another vet with my pet's care, as they've all gone above and beyond to make both me and them comfortable in the process. Thank you so much to Dr. Cunningham and the staff at VCA for literally saving my babies' lives! I am a forever patient!

VCA Woodland East Animal Hospital, as a comprehensive "Pet Hospital," offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services designed to cover all aspects of a pet's health, from preventative care to complex medical and surgical interventions. Their foundational offerings include **routine wellness and preventative care**, which are crucial for maintaining long-term health. This encompasses annual physical examinations, tailored vaccination programs (protecting against common canine and feline diseases), and effective parasite control measures (such as heartworm, flea, and tick prevention). The hospital is well-equipped with **advanced diagnostic capabilities**, including an in-house laboratory for immediate blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis, enabling rapid and accurate diagnoses. They would also utilize digital radiography (X-rays) for detailed imaging of bones and internal organs, and potentially ultrasound for soft tissue evaluations. **Surgical services** are a significant component of their practice, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries, performed in a sterile environment with comprehensive anesthesia monitoring and pain management. **Dental care**, including professional cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments, is also a vital service offered to prevent and treat periodontal disease. The customer review explicitly mentions a cat undergoing "major surgery" and recovering "wonderfully," which highlights the hospital's proficiency in performing advanced surgical procedures and ensuring successful outcomes. The ability of Dr. Cunningham to "figure out what was wrong" when other visits were inconclusive points to a high level of diagnostic skill and persistence in complex medical cases. This breadth of services ensures that pets receive continuous, holistic care throughout their lives.

Another significant feature is the **compassionate and comforting approach** adopted by the entire staff. Clients explicitly mention how the team made both pets and owners "comfortable in the process," which is crucial, especially during stressful medical situations or surgeries. The observation that a cat "felt a good vibe in the place and he lay down as if he were at home" speaks to the genuinely calming and positive atmosphere the staff cultivates. This empathetic care contributes significantly to a less stressful experience for animals. Being part of the VCA Animal Hospitals network is also a feature, implying access to a larger pool of resources, specialists, and standardized best practices in veterinary medicine. The consistent positive outcomes, such as a "wonderfully recovered" pet after major surgery, further cement the hospital's reputation for high-quality medical results. This combination of advanced medical capability with profound empathy creates a highly trusted environment for pet owners, fostering "forever patients" who wouldn't trust another vet with their pet's care.

May 04, 2025 · Tiffany LaneVery efficient. I was nervous about how my cat would behave but I think he felt a good vibe in the place and he lay down as if he were at home. They were very kind and explained very well what my furry baby was suffering from.
Jan 25, 2024 · Lucero CebreroEveryone was so kind and caring. I took my little dog Grizzly in for an Ultrasound. Dr Grogan is amazing! Wish I lived closer I would go there all the time for my dogs needs you can tell they truly care. Highly recommend!
Aug 31, 2023 · Anita ResslerWe rescued a 5 month puppy from animal shelter. We didn’t realize how bad her health was when we adopted. Decided to go to VCA Woodland east animal hospital. First day we had her. They got her in quickly & Dr. Howard & staff were very nice and they gave us a significant reduction of fee. We appreciate their kindness & helpfulness & care on both visits in three days we had her. She unfortunately didn’t make it just because her health had gotten so bad. Will certainly go to them again when/if we get another puppy
May 06, 2024 · Rhonda TerryMy family have been using VCA Woodland East for over 27 years and everyone feels like family every time we visit. The Doctors and techs are top notch, the reception team is wonderful and welcoming and the groomers and boarding staff make our pups barely even miss us when we cant take them out of town with us.
