Welcome to VCA Westboro Animal Hospital

Welcome to VCA Westboro Animal Hospital, a pet hospital located at 155 Turnpike Rd #9, Westborough, MA 01581, USA. As part of the larger VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) network, VCA Westboro Animal Hospital aims to provide comprehensive veterinary care for pets in the local Westborough community. Operating within the platform category of Pet Hospital, they offer a range of medical services and potentially related goods for sale to support the health and well-being of your animal companions.

Based on the available customer reviews, the environment and staff at VCA Westboro Animal Hospital appear to be generally positive for many clients. One reviewer expressed consistent satisfaction over time, highlighting the staff's pleasant demeanor and the personalized attention they provide, making clients feel like their pet is the only patient. This suggests a welcoming and caring atmosphere where pet owners feel valued and their animals are treated with genuine affection. The comment that the staff seems to enjoy their work further contributes to a positive perception of the clinic's environment and the team's dedication.

However, another review presents a significant concern regarding the hospital's service, particularly concerning after-hours accessibility for medication pick-up. This customer recounted a frustrating experience where their husband arrived three minutes after the stated closing time to collect prescribed medication for a dog with a diagnosed parasite and severe diarrhea, only to be turned away by departing staff, despite the office technically not being closed yet. The reviewer also mentioned prior communication where the office indicated flexibility for late arrivals if staff were still present. This incident raises questions about the consistency of service, especially in situations where timely access to medication is crucial for a pet's health. It also highlights a potential disconnect between stated policies and actual practice, leading to significant disappointment and concern for the pet owner.

As a VCA Animal Hospital, VCA Westboro likely offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services. These typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention (flea, tick, heartworm), dental care, and nutritional counseling. Given the mention of a parasite diagnosis, they also provide diagnostic services such as laboratory testing to identify illnesses. Furthermore, as a full-service animal hospital, they are likely equipped to handle medical treatments for various conditions, including prescribing and dispensing medications. Depending on the facility and staffing, they may also offer surgical services, potentially ranging from routine procedures like spays and neuters to more complex surgeries. Emergency and critical care services might also be available, either on-site or through referral to a nearby VCA emergency facility. For specific details on the services offered at VCA Westboro Animal Hospital, direct contact is recommended.

A potential feature of VCA Westboro Animal Hospital, being part of a larger network, could be access to a wide range of resources, specialists, and standardized protocols that VCA provides. This might translate to a comprehensive approach to pet healthcare and the ability to handle complex cases through internal referrals if needed. The positive review emphasizes the staff's pleasantness and the personalized care provided, suggesting a client-focused approach. However, the negative review points to a potential area for improvement in terms of service flexibility and adherence to stated policies, especially regarding medication access outside of strict operating hours. It is essential for pet hospitals to balance adherence to schedules with the urgent needs of pet owners and the well-being of their animal patients.

The provided reviews do not contain any specific promotional information for VCA Westboro Animal Hospital. VCA often has national or regional promotions that might be applicable, such as discounts on first visits, vaccination packages, or wellness plans. To inquire about any current promotions or special offers at the VCA Westboro location, interested pet owners should contact them directly. It's also worth exploring the VCA website or signing up for their newsletters to stay informed about any potential deals or programs designed to make pet care more affordable.

For local pet owners in Westborough, MA, VCA Westboro Animal Hospital at 155 Turnpike Rd #9 offers a local option for veterinary care. While one customer consistently praises the friendly and attentive staff, another recounts a significant service failure regarding timely medication access. This mixed feedback suggests that while many aspects of the hospital may be positive, there could be inconsistencies in service delivery, particularly concerning after-hours needs. Local pet owners may want to consider these perspectives when making decisions about their pet's care. It would be prudent to inquire about the hospital's policies on prescription pick-ups, especially outside of regular hours, and to communicate any specific needs or concerns proactively. Contacting VCA Westboro Animal Hospital directly at (508) 366-1444 or +1 508-366-1444 will allow potential clients to gather more detailed information about their services, hours of operation, and any specific protocols that might be relevant to their pet's health needs.

In conclusion, VCA Westboro Animal Hospital in Westborough, MA, operates as a pet hospital within a larger veterinary network. While many clients report positive experiences with the friendly and attentive staff, a concerning incident regarding after-hours medication access highlights a potential area for service improvement. Local pet owners should consider both the positive feedback regarding staff and the negative feedback regarding service inflexibility when evaluating VCA Westboro Animal Hospital for their pet care needs. Direct communication with the hospital is recommended to obtain detailed information about their services, policies, and any current promotions, ensuring it aligns with their expectations for comprehensive and accessible veterinary care.

Terrible service. My dog had a great visit with the vet which as you all possibly know, it’s not cheap.. I was told my dog had a parasite. He was suffering with terrible diarrhea. My husband drove 2 hours to get there to obtain the medication the office closed at 8pm my husband got there at 803pm the staff personnel was leaving the office. The office wasn’t even closed yet the prescription was ready to be picked up the staff turned my husband away. If you do not like your profession please choose another. I called the office several times checking in with them asking if they could leave the medicine outside they told me if you arrive after we close but we are still here we can give you the medicine. This was extremely disappointing. If my dog was extremely sick and needed this to survive they would have turned him away?!.

Compassionate, caring and polite. I've had Beagles for 40 years and these are standout vets (as well as the front office) from an office visit to surgeries. Thank you for providing excellent care for my senior Beagle.

Dr Klein and her superb staff get 5 stars from our family. We have been bringing our pet family members here for years and have always loved the care we ALL receive but a recent situation confirms what we knew to be an exceptional veterinary clinic. We were traveling to our son's graduation, a trip that was planned for months, when our dog had a health crisis. We were very torn and felt helpless leaving Scooter and despite these feelings, we knew he was receiving the best care he could whether we were home or not. We called daily and spoke to Dr Klein and she kept us updated with tests, meds etc. She never rushed us and explained all she could to us while still being uncertain of the outcome. The vet techs were obviously doing more than their job. They showed great love and care. We, as his family, received great love and care, too. We were able to return from our trip with our dog stabilized and able to come home. We received careful thorough instructions and along with the great team at VCA will continue to take good care of our friend with hope for a good outcome. I can recommend the team at VCA, from volunteers to receptionists, vet techs, doctors, and Dr Klein especially. Caring, knowledgable, compassionate, practical, treats and understands the needs of the whole family. I wish I could name everyone but we appreciate all of you!

We arrived early for our appointment. I really appreciated that we were immediately taken to an exam room where our cats could roam free, instead of being kept cooped up in their carrier. The lobby was immaculate and welcoming, and the employee at the front desk was very friendly and courteous. The techs and vet we talked to were also pleasant and professional. I was happy to have my questions answered, and I was glad that each question was taken seriously instead of just being dismissed. The examination went well, and my cats were treated with much patience and care, even though they got a little wriggly. I look forward to my next appointment.
