VCA Terrell Mill Animal Hospital

This has been our vet for 3 years now but we are switching due to lack of availability and rude staff. Over the years, we’ve experienced a decline in service (most of the staff doesn’t care about your pet, the next available appointment is always a week out no matter the emergency). The final straw that made me decide to switch vets was today. We pulled into the parking lot 3 minutes after our 10 minute grace period when the front desk person called us to tell us we missed our appointment. My dog was supposed to have x-rays and we’ve already waited a week and a half for this appointment. Today is Monday and next available appointment they had was next week. I called another VCA and they had availability tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. While I was on the phone, she said another patient cancelled and we can actually be seen today. The only vet I’ve had a great experience here with was Mandy Shelby and one other vet we saw a couple years ago. I cannot remember her name but I haven’t seen her in awhile so I guess she is no longer here. If you want a vet with staff who cares about your pet and you, pick another vet!

My cat was sneezing and had some nasal discharge and they were able to work him in so that he wouldn't be uncomfortable all day. We were greeted and taken in quickly by the staff. Dr. Boswell examined him and prescribed some antibiotics. My sweet boy is feeling better!

This vet is very close to my home - making it easy to bring my 2 over-dramatic kittens to the vet when needed. I have seen a few doctors here and not every experience has been good, but after finding Dr. Brian Chappell I am struggling to find another vet that compares. Dr. Chappell is typically only available one day a week but he knows his sh*t, is kind to my animals, and takes his time answering my questions. He is non-judgmental and a sincerely good guy. While we have considered leaving to find a vet with better availability, the quality of care we get from Dr. Chappell is unparalleled and despite my best efforts I have not found a better vet in the area. Also, it is worth calling out Ana for the best vet tech I have ever had the pleasure of bringing my fur babies to. I would recommend requesting her upon making your appointment!

I have been using VCA at Terrell Mill for 8 years. During that time we have seen a decline in availability. The care has always been excellent. The number of vets on staff has dwindled and we haven't been able to schedule without long delays. Only certain vets are able to do surgical procedures and the cost of their Care Club has bloated with minimal additions to the benefits. Unfortunately after 8 years we have decided to change to a different vet group and found we are getting more for less than at VCA Terrell Mill.

So grateful to have found a quality place and warm people. I had a bad experience with the commercial vet clinics like Petco and Petsmart. Upon arrival here, I was greeted by two beautiful ladies at the front desk that made me comfortable and listened to my needs for my pet Bailey. Bailey had been struggling with a skin problem which she encounters every season. This clinic listened and delivered! Now, Bailey is feeling 100% better and is back to my precious dog. She’s happy, she’s playing, she’s smiling. Forever grateful.
