VCA Telegraph Road Animal Hospital

The facility is great but VCA just robs people. My dog has been getting allergy shots for years and he gets one every 2-3 months, but now VCA is requiring a mandatory exam every 3 months which is 120$ instead of once a year to add onto to his shot visit. Just taking people’s money for no reason.

I've been taking my two cats to this particular VCA for about a year now, multiple appointments for various issues and exams. and I really do love bringing them there! everyone is always so kind and compassionate, and despite my cats getting consistently stressed/anxious (as cats are wont to do), the vets, receptionists, and vet techs all routinely make the effort to reassure me that they have seen worse - which no doubt they have, but really the staff are so incredibly sweet. Dr.'s Ehrig and Fouse have been wonderfully attentive, caring, and informative, vet assistants Jen and Caelyn have always been amazing in the same ways, and I believe Stacey is the receptionist we speak to most at the front - we love her ESPECIALLY!! she makes every call feel as though we have her undivided attention, and she is so deliberately accommodating, going above and beyond to reach out and see if we would like to be added to cancellation lists when we book sudden appointments for issues as they arise with our pets. I'm sure the staff we have yet to meet are equally as wonderful, and we feel so fortunate to have everyone here managing the care of our cats - we truly treasure them and want the absolute best for them that we can get, and we feel we 100% do exactly that with this clinic. thank you ALL for the work that you put in every day, you really have no idea how much we appreciate you!! ❤️❤️❤️ (took one star off because VCA is definitely extremely highly priced comparatively speaking - the team absolutely gets a full 5 stars from me, and I hope that they are paid very well as a result of the clinic's fees because THEY DESERVE IT!)

Paid $265 for a stool exam for my kitten who had diarrhea for a few weeks. Received a call saying he did not have worms and no other follow up on treatment or other testing. Vet seemed to not care to try to help my kitten so I took him to another vet where I actually received medication and a treatment plan to help my kitten feel better. Sad I had to pay twice for an examination to try and get answers but at least I learned not to use this vet. Never have I had an experience where a vet examines a sick animal and offers literally 0 solutions. Do not recommend taking your pet here.

Today our vet assistant Sammi was absolutely great . She gave us a lot of helpful information and referrals. Thank you Sammi for making our first visit awesome.

Staff was unwilling to give me estimates unless I brought my dog in for a $250 exam and test despite the fact that they had already seen him for the issue that I am trying to diagnose. The receptionist is almost completely unaware of what "etiquette" means.
