Our dog Duce is extremely vocal and speaks his mind. I give it 5 star. Him, not so much 馃ぃ. He thinks stepping on the scale is unbearable. He weighs 98lbs. The docs and the staff are patient, thorough and really give him a good look over. But it鈥檚 not his favorite place to go when he鈥檚 going for a ride in the car 馃槀

Looking for a "Pet Hospital Near Me" in Bethlehem, PA? VCA Northside Animal Hospital is located at 185 Mikron Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18020, USA, and can be contacted at (610) 759-5922 or +1 610-759-5922.
Based on recent online reviews, experiences at VCA Northside Animal Hospital appear to vary significantly. One pet owner shared a relatively positive experience, noting that while their dog dislikes weighing himself, the doctors and staff were patient and thorough during examinations.
However, another customer recounted a deeply concerning experience. They brought their lethargic dog who wasn't eating to the hospital. Despite an examination and blood work, the underlying kidney infection was reportedly missed, and the dog was sent home with probiotics. The blood work results allegedly took two days to return, during which time the dog's condition worsened to kidney failure and septic shock. This reviewer claimed that despite multiple attempts to contact the vet, there was no follow-up call. Tragically, they had to euthanize their dog three days later, expressing extreme disappointment and advising others to seek a hospital with same-day labs and more accurate diagnostic capabilities.
Given these contrasting accounts, it is crucial for local users searching for a "Pet Hospital Near Me" to carefully consider these recent experiences. While one review highlights patient and thorough staff, the other raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy, lab turnaround time, and follow-up communication.
As the provided information focuses on customer reviews, specific details about the hospital's environment, a comprehensive list of their services, or any current promotional offers are not available. It is strongly recommended that prospective clients consider the feedback provided and potentially contact VCA Northside Animal Hospital directly to inquire about their diagnostic procedures, lab capabilities, communication protocols, and the range of services they offer to ensure it meets their pet's needs.
In conclusion, VCA Northside Animal Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, has received mixed recent reviews. While some customers have experienced patient and thorough care, others have reported significant issues with diagnosis and communication. Local pet owners should weigh these perspectives carefully when choosing a veterinary care provider.

Apr 02, 2025 路 donna roth jacksonTook our dog here because she wasn't eating and was lethargic for 3 days. The vet, examined her, got blood work and sent her home on probiotics? Turns out she had a raging kidney infection that was missed. The blood work took 2 days to come back and by that time our dog's health worsened and she was in kidney failure. The vet never called us back after making several tries to reach her. They left our dog suffer for 3 days, on probiotics while she was in septic shock! My advice: go somewhere where they 1) have same-day labs and 2) where the Veterinarian can tell the difference between a dying animal and one in good health. We needed to put our dog down 3 days later. Very disappointed.
Mar 27, 2025 路 Kyle CorrellVery nice office, extremely nice staff. Nurses and doctors explained everything and even gave me a nice little gift bag for my first visit, complete with toys and treats. Pricing is reasonable for exams and vaccinations. Will definitely be back for my cat's annual exams.
Oct 23, 2024 路 Brandon McWhirter (Arcane Phoenix)I took my kitten Freydis to VCA Animal Hospital for the first time for a free exam and it was a very great experience. Such a good energy as soon as you walk into the door and are welcomed by the front desk. Very clean place, and even offer free drinks in the waiting room, which I didn鈥檛 have to sit in for long at all. The staff were incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout the process. They were very upfront and open about all of their pricing for any additional things that could be done for Freydis. The gentle care and attention they provided was top-notch and I was so grateful to have them by our side during a stressful time. Their expertise and dedication to their patients is truly impressive. I highly recommend VCA to anyone seeking veterinary care for their beloved pets. Special shout out to to Dr. Lehman and her technician, Allison. They were wonderful.
Jul 29, 2024 路 Jessica DawnIf you are looking for a vet this is the place you NEED to be. Dr. Fussleman, Chaz, and everyone we encountered was absolutely just amazing. My 9 yo dog who can be reactive to other animals/people developed a mass in her mouth in a short amount of time. I called VCA on a Saturday morning as a new patient and they had an appointment for us Monday. Unfortunately my dog did need surgery and they had her scheduled for that same week. Like I said, my dog can be reactive so we take the necessary precautions like anxiety meds and a muzzle before going to the vet. However, a lot of vets we've seen in the past treat us like a nuisance and don't make us feel welcome because of this. By the end of our first visit I was able to remove Lily's muzzle and she even took treats from Dr. F. They made sure the halls and door were clear before we came on and left, without making me feel like it was any trouble to do so. I am so very grateful I called VCA, I'm grateful for the kindness the entire staff showed while I received news I was hoping not to hear about my girl. I couldn't recommend this place more.
