Dec 16, 2024 · Holly TrexlerWe loved the warm welcome we received from the VCA Morris Plains team today on our first visit. Weâre looking forward to regular preventative care visits guided by Dr. Powellâs expertise to keep our pup healthy for years to come!
Oct 31, 2024 · Jaimee CorrisI have been taking my puppy here since she was 11 weeks old and am very happy with my experience. Dr. Burke is very kind and great with my puppy. This is my first experience with a puppy and Dr. Burke has been so patient with all my questions. The entire staff is also always very welcoming and helpful. We ended up doing the care club plan and would recommend if you have a young puppy and will likely be at the vet often.
Mar 17, 2025 · marlo colabella***BEWARE*** The VCA use to be a nice, pleasant, caring office. Unfortunately, due to staffing changes (front desk and vet techs) it has gone downhill. Weâve been bringing our dog to the VCA since we adopted her in 2018. For YEARS she had been receiving monthly injections and monthly refills of her medication. Debbie at the front desk would act fake with both myself and my husband would give us a hard time (almost every time) when it came to scheduling injection appointment and refill requests. One time Debbie argued with me about the dosages of our dogâs medication. I advised her I was provided the incorrect dosage (only 1 pill container) and asked for the dosage to be corrected (2 different pill containers, 2 different dosages). Debbie insisted our dog only receives 1 pill container/1 dosage. After going back and forth with her. I had asked her to check the chart since she did not believe me. Once Debbie checked the chart, she provided me with the correct dosage. The arguing was 100% avoidable if she would have just listened and checked the chart from the start. Another time Debbie scheduled our dog for her monthly injection + refill and the office was closed. We had driven 25 minutes to get there and 25 minutes back home for nothing. The practice manager did discount her next service slightly to apologize for the inconvenience. Another time, DEBBIE PROVIDED US WITH ANOTHER CLIENTâS MEDICATION. Thankfully we check our dogâs medication always before providing it to her. My husband called (1/19/25) and stated she had provided him another clientâs medication. Debbie was trying to deny that the incorrect medication was provided. Once my husband explained further that label was incorrect and the shape of the pill is completely different, she understood and apologized. My husband had to make a suggestion of how to switch the medication out for the correct one. CRITICAL THINKING WAS LACKING BIG TIME ON HER END. Also, we were unaware that her vet was retiring until this call had been made. Again why did it have to get to that point? We recently made the decision to switch vets. My husband called on 4/7/25 and asked Debbie to send all of our dogâs records to the new vet and provided her the phone number to speak to the new office. She stated it was âtoo much work to callâ. My husband thanked her and thought she would do it. NOPE! I received a call today 4/11/25 stating the new office had not received any records as of 11:12am. My husband reached out AGAIN to the VCA, spoke with Kaitlin. When he asked to speak with the practice manager, he was connected to someone else in the office. That person stated they would send the records. All of that was 100% unnecessary and the records should have been sent to the new office after the initial call on Monday. I called the new office at 12:31pm to confirm they received them and thankfully they had. Even though Debbie may be unhappy with her life choices, it does not mean she needs to take it out on others. Maybe she needs to retire? We were hopeful that things would get better and unfortunately it kept getting worse until the very end.
Apr 12, 2025 · Amanda GearyI went to VCA Morris Plains because my daughter's leopard gecko seemed liked he had an infection. The staff is wonderful, patient and fun! Dr. Powell was great; he explained everything that was wrong, gave me medicine to help Tortillini to get better, and gave me tank advice. He even printed information out for me. I will certainly be going back. Thank you!
