We came to this clinic for a second opinion for some challenges our senior dog was facing after experiencing less than satisfactory empathy and concern from her primary vet. The vet who saw our dog was empathetic and listened to our concerns, and handled our baby with the utmost care. After a quick X-ray, they identified the source of our concerns immediately. Unfortunately, the test revealed an insurmountable health challenge that left us devastated. The gentleness and empathy they provided us to absorb the discovery meant the world to us. They were able to provide a referral to an incredible company that let us say goodbye to our girl at home. The staff of this hospital sent a heartfelt card to express their condolences when we lost our girl, even though they only saw her once. This tragedy in our family concreted that we will only use this clinic moving forward for our furry family moving forward, due to the high level of competency, care, empathy, and professionalism. We want to thank Dr. Kinscher and her team for everything they did to ensure we were well informed and could make the right decision for our baby.

VCA Midpark Animal Hospital Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of VCA Midpark Animal Hospital, a local Pet Hospital situated at 6611 Smith Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130, USA. As part of the VCA (Veterinary Centers of America) network, VCA Midpark Animal Hospital aims to provide comprehensive veterinary care for your animal companions. Operating under the category of a Pet Hospital, this facility offers a wide array of services and likely provides various goods to support the health and well-being of your pets.

Based on available information, including customer reviews, the environment at VCA Midpark Animal Hospital appears to be one where compassion and professionalism are valued. One review highlights the empathy shown by the veterinary team, particularly Dr. Kinscher, in a sensitive situation involving a senior dog. This suggests a caring and supportive atmosphere for pet owners, especially during challenging times. The mention of conducting an X-ray indicates the presence of diagnostic imaging capabilities within the hospital. However, another review raises concerns about a pet not being seen by an actual veterinarian initially and expresses dissatisfaction with a diagnosis provided by a veterinary technician. This suggests that while certain aspects of care are commendable, experiences can vary.

As a Pet Hospital, VCA Midpark Animal Hospital likely offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services. These typically include routine wellness examinations and vaccinations to maintain your pet's health. Diagnostic services, as indicated by the X-ray mentioned in a review, are also a part of their offerings. Medical treatments for illnesses and injuries would be expected, and given that they provided a referral for at-home euthanasia, they likely have established relationships with specialized service providers. While not explicitly stated, it is common for VCA hospitals to offer surgical services, dental care, and potentially emergency or urgent care, although the extent of these services at this specific location would need to be confirmed directly. The fact that a referral to a company for at-home euthanasia was provided suggests a commitment to supporting pet owners through all stages of their pet's life.

Features of VCA Midpark Animal Hospital likely include being part of the larger VCA network, which often implies access to a wider range of resources, specialists, and potentially advanced medical technologies. The positive review emphasizes the competency, care, empathy, and professionalism of Dr. Kinscher and her team. This suggests a focus on client communication and ensuring pet owners are well-informed. However, the negative review points out a potential concern regarding who is providing the direct care (veterinarian vs. veterinary technician) and the accuracy/professionalism of the information provided. Therefore, a key feature could be the qualifications and experience of their veterinary staff, which appears to have elicited differing opinions based on the provided reviews.

Considering the provided customer reviews offers valuable insights. The positive review speaks volumes about the compassionate care received, particularly during a difficult time, highlighting empathy, thoroughness (quick X-ray leading to immediate identification of the issue), and helpful referrals. The follow-up with a condolence card further underscores a caring approach. This customer's experience led them to commit to using this clinic exclusively. On the other hand, the negative review raises serious concerns about a perceived misdiagnosis, the level of care provided (not being seen by a vet initially), and the professionalism of the communication. This contrasting feedback suggests that while some pet owners have had very positive experiences, others have encountered significant issues.

Regarding promotional information, as part of the VCA network, VCA Midpark Animal Hospital might participate in national VCA promotions or have local offers. These could include discounts on initial wellness exams, vaccination packages, or other services. VCA often emphasizes preventative care plans that bundle services at a potentially reduced cost. To obtain specific promotional details for VCA Midpark Animal Hospital, it would be best to contact them directly or check the VCA website. They might also offer financing options through third-party providers to help manage the costs of veterinary care.

In summary, VCA Midpark Animal Hospital in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, operates as a Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary services. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with one highlighting compassionate, competent, and professional care, particularly from Dr. Kinscher and her team, while another expresses significant concerns about diagnosis accuracy and the level of veterinarian involvement. Potential features include being part of the VCA network and the presence of diagnostic capabilities like X-ray. For local users considering VCA Midpark Animal Hospital, it would be prudent to contact them directly at (216) 362-7387 to inquire about their services, the qualifications of their staff, and any current promotions. Weighing the positive feedback regarding empathetic and competent care against the concerns raised in the other review will be important in making an informed decision about your pet's veterinary care.

I just brought my cat to this place, and after being told to put him down I did some more research on the hospital. To find out my cat wasn’t even seen by the actual vet but by a vet tech who only has 2 years of experience under her belt. I was told he was diagnosed with a condition called FIV. The vet tech here claimed a supplement of L-Lysine that I had just started giving him was the reason why his liver was failing. A friend of mine with a cat with the same condition was advised to start giving their cat this same supplement, and since starting on it ( roughly 1 year ago), has improved REMARKABLY and is back to her normal self. I can find nothing online claiming l-lysine is harmful to cats, and in my opinion was a completely unprofessional, dishonest, and quite honestly rude remark to make that the l-lysine caused my cats liver to fail. A MUCH more reputable vet (North Royalton Animal Shelter) was who advised my friend to start to start on the L lysine supplement. These people here have zero idea what they are talking about. My cat was a pure bred Persian who was only 3 years old. I miss my best friend so dearly and to find out he wasn’t even seen by the vet and that I didn’t even speak to the actual vet is heartbreaking and frustrating in itself. Rest in peace to my baby boy..

I was satisfied with my experience. I had to have my 12 year old Dog put down due to medical reasons. The staff was very caring and supportive. I rescued Buddy at 8 weeks old out of the Arizona Mohave Desert and he gave me the honor of 12 wonderful years! Rest in piece my precious baby boy (Buddy). We'll see each other again...

Several things turned me off about this place. First was they overcharge you big time. $93 for a few sedative pills? Pass. $130 for an antibiotic shot?! Wow. So they weighed my cat on floor in exam office, then let her run under the bench where you sit that was dirty under there, and where my (flea free) cat could of picked up fleas from other animals that hid under it. Should of done that on exam table ...very strange. And they did NOT offer senior discounts of any kind. I asked, and would of qualified. There is more but bottom line is will not be returning.

This visit was poor, there is no consistancy, I brought my new puppy there I was lookong at what took place when I brough my last puppy there in July 2024, the pricing was not the issue it was the fact when i brought in last dog they did all vaccinations but this time they would not, so i paid $158 dollars for one shot, and when I brough last dog paid $207 for all now I have to bring the dog again for another visit and vaccinations, and when I question the tech in a direct.manner she is offended and think i am talking to her some sort of way? I am asking questions that pertain to inconsistancies in the visits, well its up to the vet was one reason? I was not being rude I was asking questions. Then I am told well you can go to places that offer vaccinations, the issue was not the money, it was the inconsistancy of the invoicing, the treatment of protocol, and then to have someone tell.le they dont appreciate how I am talking when I am asking questions? Pretty sad I have no problems bringing my dogs here, however I would like a consistant vet, not a new one every time i bring my pet, because as I was told each does something different! Hold.on to you pocket book they will make you spend more money than needed because.one vet does not do what another might.
