VCA Laurelhurst Animal Hospital

I cannot recommend this vet office more. On our first appointment, the staff was welcoming and kind, and didn’t pressure us into any purchases (we did sign up for the basic care plan for our new dog to get her vaccines and make sure she stayed healthy). Earlier this month, our husky got very sick. The staff not only got us in almost immediately (including calling throughout the day before the appointment to check on Jenna and see if they needed to move her appointment), but also were quick to diagnose her, and even quicker to get her in for the surgery she urgently needed the next morning. On top of all of this, they pulled every single string they could to make this urgent surgery as affordable as possible to us, while also provided the utmost care to our sweet girl. The staff text me through the day of her surgery, and the surgeon messaged me directly to tell me how she was progressing. We have the goofball we love and missed dearly back because this office acted quickly and with compassion and care. And I cannot thank them enough.

This company is owned by Mars Bars' private hedge fund. There may be some good people who work here, but ultimately they exist to make money for a candy bar company. Taking care of your pet and giving honest advice are secondary concerns. In my experience they will advise tests they know your pet doesnt need, they will try to slip in extra fees, they are constantly trying to sell their subscription, and on top of all that they have the gall to ask for donations to their "charity". I do not recommend.

This clinic is amazing! Every member of their team is kind and caring. We have had our pups in the clinic for both routine and acute care. Even in situations where we have taken our dogs to another clinic, VCA Laurelhurst calls to check on them (i.e., when records get forwarded, or when they have referred us to a specialist). Dr. Lambert personally calls to discuss treatment and check in. His compassion and care for the patients he treats could not be more evident. I cannot recommend VCA Laurelhurst strongly enought!

There aren’t enough words to describe how much I love these people. It’s not the fact that they’re with the VCA that keeps me here, it’s every single individual working there. They are compassionate, convenient (especially with the VCA app), communicative, patient, knowledgeable - and not pushy with services like they’re trying to sell a product all the time. They all care so much about the pets they work with and take care of. There’s not one specific doctor I feel like I need to cling to, because no matter who sees my pets they’re taken care of exceptionally. I think between my two dogs Rowena & Morty, they each have their own favorite group of people to be treated by but they love everyone there. They used to be very fearful and reactive at the vet, and now they can’t wait to go inside and hang out with everyone. We’ve been treated here for general primary and routine care as well as sick/injured care and we always leave relieved and feeling better than we did before! We don’t mean it lightly when we say we LOVE them here ❤️

I LOVE this vet. The staff has always been so kind, professional and helpful. They’ve helped me through the loss of a dog and new puppy things. I know I’m always going to have a good experience every time I go in.
