VCA Lantern Road Animal Hospital

Wish I could give zero stars. Went in for an eye exam for my cat because he had some discharge I wasn’t comfortable with. We were prescribed an ointment for his eye. Only after a whole week of using it and mentioning at his follow up that he had been throwing up did they inform us that the medicine is TOXIC for cats and could cause liver and kidney failure. After trying to poison my cat we were only offered half off bloodwork that we shouldn’t have had to pay for in the first place. Not only that but while seeing me visibly upset and on the verge of tears after seeing the price the vet we saw gave me incorrect information regarding my cats diet and told me he will develop diabetes (without doing any testing to see if that was true or not). When we originally declined the bloodwork since we didn’t have enough to cover the cost they vet came back into our room and tried again to get us to pay for bloodwork we absolutely do not have the money for. 0/10

The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable as well as very priced conscious.. our kitten Romeo felt at home during his first exam

Probably one of the worst vet visits I’ve had, if not the worst. The last time I went in there, my cat had a swollen eye with some green discharge so we got prescribed an eye ointment only to find out when we went back today that the ointment is toxic for cats and can cause failures in the liver and kidneys. They offered to pay half for blood work, fluids, and etc because they admitted fault but this IS NOT something WE need to pay for since they are 100% at fault, not us.

The vets and staff at VCA Lantern Road are awesome. I can't speak highly enough about the level of care and support my dog receives. Dr. Pearson is especially amazing.

Great experience. Az. wasn't nervous, they did have good treats!
