Honestly after losing my baby, I would give 0 stars. I feel terrible even having to write a bad review, I’m not the type of person to try and cause issues and talk about a business, but I’ve tried to give chance after chance for someone to talk to me. Do not take your fur babies here.. I don’t want anyone to have to deal with this hurt my husband and I feel. I’ve called here multiple times being told I’ll get a call back or to just bare with them while the manager looks everything over, my baby has now been gone a MONTH and I have yet to hear anything on how to make this somewhat better, nothing will make the hurt we feel go away and it won’t bring her back, but I don’t feel she was done right by this vet. This only lets you post so much, but if you want to see about my experience with VCA look at my story in the photos. Also, my husband and I had been sent a card like two weeks after her passing and after my 4th time calling saying I didn’t feel like anyone cared, normally I would appreciate something like that but why two weeks later, and happened to be the same day I called for the 4th time? I’m sick of waiting, it’s hard for me to even begin to heal when we have been through this and get brushed off. The communication is horrible and I do not feel this place has the best interest in your pets like they say they do. I think because they had Wednesday off and it was closing time on a Tuesday they just wanted to go home. I called multiple times crying about this and I don’t really feel anyone cared that much even though they try to say so, if they actually cared about our fur babies and the care of them I would think they would do anything to reach out after something like this happened. We were told she did so great so we are thinking we have nothing to worry about, if I noticed something wasn’t completely right with her before leaving I’m sure they did as well, but we aren’t professionals and we trusted them. I’ve tried to be kind and give some time with the holidays and all, but come on.. if info was sent over once finding out of her passing until the first holiday that’s two weeks, then I’ve now given about another two after the next holiday. How does it possibly take this long for anyone to reach me? I’m not happy at all, my baby didn’t deserve this at all, I feel it’s all about the money and not the care.

Welcome to VCA Jackson Animal Hospital

Welcome to VCA Jackson Animal Hospital, your local Pet Hospital Near You, located at 539 N Blackstone St in Jackson, Michigan. As part of the VCA network, we aim to provide a range of veterinary services to the Jackson community and surrounding areas. However, online customer reviews indicate a divergence in experiences.

The environment at VCA Jackson Animal Hospital is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. One review focuses on the emotional support received during a difficult time, suggesting a compassionate setting when dealing with end-of-life care. However, another review conveys a sense of frustration with the communication and follow-up after a pet's passing.

VCA Jackson Animal Hospital offers a range of veterinary services. One customer recounts a negative experience related to the care their pet received, leading to the pet's loss, and expresses dissatisfaction with the subsequent communication and lack of follow-up from the hospital. Conversely, another customer highlights the kindness and compassion received when making the difficult decision for euthanasia, indicating that the hospital provides support during sensitive times. The services likely include general veterinary care, and based on the reviews, may extend to end-of-life care and aftercare, although the consistency of communication in such situations is questioned by one reviewer.

A key feature of VCA Jackson Animal Hospital in Jackson, MI, appears to be the compassionate care provided to some clients during emotionally challenging times, as highlighted in one review regarding end-of-life support. However, another significant aspect, based on a different review, is a reported lack of communication and follow-up after a pet's passing, leading to feelings of being brushed off and questioning the level of care provided. Potential local users should be aware of these contrasting experiences when considering this animal hospital for their pet care needs.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available. The contrasting customer experiences, particularly regarding communication and aftercare following a pet's loss, may be important factors for local users to consider when choosing a veterinary hospital. While some may find compassionate support, others have reported significant communication issues.

Today we made the heartbreaking decision to send our best friend of 11 years over the rainbow bridge. We arrived at the office an emotional mess. We were scared and so immensely sad. We were met with kindness, compassion, and grace. The staff made us feel that they genuinely cared for our pup. We will never forget the time you took to comfort us, and our sweet boy, Roscoe. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did to help us do the hardest thing possible.

We've been customers at VCA Gaide for over 5 years now. Our appreciation for their compassion and care go out to our vet team. Special appreciation goes out to our vet PK Schelb, Keagan, Candice, Diana, Riley, Sam and anyone else that has shown their care and kindness to us and our beautiful Golden Retriever girl that lost her battle with acute kidney failure yesterday. A little bit goes a long way. We thank you for holding us up through this terrible experience.

I stopped here to get my dogs the care they needed after our pup Xena tragically passed away from Parvovirus their compassion and desire to help was evident. They are indeed good for your canine and feline family.

I called Saturday morning and asked if you guys do walk-ins. The girl that answered the phone was so cold and rude. She stated “no we do not” and as I was trying to ask if the office had any openings today, the girl interrupted me before I could finish and said “and we don’t have openings” I then tried to explain why I was calling for my pet and again I couldn’t finish my sentence and she interrupted me again and said “we do not have any openings. Try next week” I understand not having openings, but she didn’t even know why I was calling and the way she just didn’t care to let me explain what was going on with my dog, I was speechless. If she would have let me finish she could have given me resources or other information for other vets office. I ended up going to a Mason vet office and all though we didn’t have the outcome we were praying for, I’m so glad we went somewhere else that was willing to help and listen to us
