I am soullll grateful for this Vet. I have been recommending them to everyone since our initial visit. I was recommended by many and they really live up to their praise. Dr Fernando is truly amazing and efficient. Wiley and I are very very happy. I have an amazing Vet back in LA and have had troubles with others since moving. It’s really comforting knowing that we have a trusted vet here 🙏🏽🌹

Dr Chiang is excellent. He takes time with you and your pet to understand your needs and concerns. My dog is reactive and the staff here are very understanding and non judgmental and they accommodate Emmett’s needs for space from other dogs. Thank you everyone at Grossmont VCA you all rock!!

Great experience! I was very nervous for my dog to get neutered, but I knew it had to be done. Dr. Avon and staff were friendly and accommodating, I appreciated the time Dr. Avon took examining my Bella and making sure all my questions were answered. The surgery for my dog went smooth, she didn’t seem to be in any pain at all, in-fact she wanted to play when I took her home, she had a smooth recovery. I highly recommend the doctor and staff. Thank you. 😊

Let me start by saying the staff is kind and pleasant. The problem is that I am a part of the care club and it can’t be used at any other VCA (outside of urgent care in Mira Mesa which was explained) however twice now. I didn’t know that when something comes up unexpected with my dogs health that it is impossible to get in and that my doctor seems to be there scarcely. I called in today 1/10/25 @ around 2pm to let the medical team know that my pet has developed a cough 3 days after her spay. Of course they recommend that I take her elsewhere because they are booked until 1/16/25. I asked the receptionist to directly ask the doctor a question. After putting me on hold multiple times, she comes back to the phone and it was clear that she had forgotten what I asked her to ask the doctor. I was placed on hold again and she came back and said that she asked the technicians the question that I told her to directly ask the doctor. After the third time of being placed on hold for her to ask this, someone named Kiara got on the line and said that it’s normal to have a cough after surgery when I know good and damn well that it’s not normal to cough up mucus. I do not appreciate the way this situation was handled and the game that was being played. If the doctor was too busy to answer a question then have her call me back or let me know that she’s unavailable. This will be my last interaction with this Vet office. Care club will be canceled. May everyone’ else’s experiences be better than this. Thanks to the team for services up until this point but this isn’t not the best Vet office for us.

Just want to shout out Dr. Fontaine for always being so available & communicative to every question/concern we have regarding our two pups. We became patients in June after our pup suffered a severe TBI & throughout each and every appt with Dr. Fontaine, we came in with many questions and always left feeling heard and reassured. A big thanks again to Dr. Fontaine for always going above & beyond!
